Oh my gosh! I'm 12 and not looking to try barefooting any time soon. Yet again, I do have a 135 horse power boat that has trouble going 35 mph and has no boom.

and totally agree, the PFD wet suits are much more reliable that a silly life jacket ESP for barefooting

Dangliostthegame - I appreciate your focus on safety. Let me help address your concerns. "Barefoot Suits" are not the same as "shorty wet suits". "Barefoot suits" are comparable to having the floatation of a Coast Guard Approved ski vest; however the floatation is contained within the suit. It helps to keep the barefooter streamlined against the force of the water at take off. A vest would drag on the water and rip the handle from the barefooter’s hands.

Barefoot suits float better than Life Jackets the flotation is built into the whole suit I would never let him wear a life jacket not enough protection!!

i've never seen that bar thing for barefooting? holy crap that looks so much easier! at my camp we start of with one ski, and then you let go of it, thats how we barefoot.. and its on the back of the boat.. theres no bar thng but we can only last like 30 seconds lol

The boom is the only way to learn safely! If you're at a ski camp that's teaching barefooting, they NEED a boom! Great investment!

and also stepping off a ski is the hardest way to learn because for a short time you are on one foot so you are learning a trick before you can even barefoot
