@247xReviews They didn't die, it just that the fact that the Sega Saturn was so poorly designed and so hell bent on groundless marketing claims that made the Sega Saturn a failure. The Dreamcast, which was released in 1999, at the same time of the PlayStation 2, didn't have a DVD player built in, unlike the PS2. That caused Sega to discontinue the Dreamcast in 2001, and focus only on software (games) for other platforms.

On the other hand, the Sega Saturn and Dreamcast did reasonably well in Japan -- the Saturn lasted till around 2000 or so, and the Dreamcast lasted till... I think 2006 or 2007.

I rarely used batteries for my gameboy, I had a rechargeable battery pack and when I was not using that I would use mains power, the game gear had loads of third party power packs, they made the device a bit bulky but you got more play time.

you get 4 hours of battery life... Or it depends on how good the battery is. If you get a battery like energizer its battery life will even be longer than 4 hours.

Sams Club and other bulk retail locations certainly should have bulk packages: maybe like 50 batteries for 20 dollars, or something like that.

As for brand, I prefer duracell after I saw some study on which ones last longer in various toys: the Duracell batteries won out in every case, so I have trusted them ever since. My own experience shows them to generally last longer than Energizer, but if you find some cheap energizers, don't turn them down: there still better than anything generic.

well the sega game gear was pretty a ok portable system. That was my childhood system, I didnt use 6AA baterries because they lasted for only 1 hour. The adapter was better, it would of been nice if someone invented a charger similar to new devices now. But game gear is the original psp
