  • Donny osmand was first offered to play henry. True story.

  • What if Dirty Harry met Henry and Otis? .44 magnum rounds to their sick heads, that's what!

  • I just finished watching this movie. It's HARDCORE

  • Another deleted scene is where they kill a girl on her bed.

  • The dvd does not have all deleted scenes. Like when the mom hooked with two dudes in front of her kids wich was in the original movie and was not a deleted scene.

  • @lester5192 I knew I saw some more stuff in this movie 20 years ago...Do you know where to find a copy of this original? Thanks!

  • @whodatinda504 you have to find a 20 year old vhs tape. unless the producers release it. there was a scene where otis and henry raped a lady on her bed then cut her throat right when henry sodomized her.

which is all pretty light weight in todays standard.

the rape scene in death wish is also edited, with the nanny lady,

  • @lester5192 Hi there, Could you please let me know where I could find the original, undeleted copy of this movie? Thanks!

  • Great movie

  • bregowald. ..............................

  • I get this confused with Confessions of a Serial Killer....another chilling film

  • It's sad that this is based on a true story

  • This sucks!!!! I've wasted 1min and 54 seconds of my life!!!!!!!!

  • @lyanbangz28 .....are you kidding me with this ridiculous comment???? if watching this TRAILER....again TRAILER.....this was not the movie.....was the highlight of your day/life, maybe you should just off yourself and be done with with! SHEEEESH!!!

  • Citizen X is way better. Its also based off the most brutal serial killer in Human history, who lived in the Soviet Union, Andrei Chikatilo. Id also consider in US history the Zodiac to be the most horrific since he was so rampant and was never apprehended. But their are tons. Jeffrey Dahmer. Moonlight Murderer. There are a lot of serial killers far more interesting then Henry and Ottis. They were just stupid hicks.

  • @theSicilianToe Supposedly Otis made up some stories.

  • @BOURBONJULIO They both made outlandish claims. I think Henry said he killed over 200 people - which is total bullshit.

  • no top 100 list of film is complete without a mention of Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer. that's a motherfukcing fact.

  • His name was OTTIS, not Otis. Can't trust a film that can't even get the name of a major character correct. At least , they got Henry's name right. Also, Ottis was just as evil and murderous as Henry, perhaps even moreso. "If I wasn't wearing these handcuffs, I'd slap your teeth out, slut!" Ottis speaking to a Colorado judge. Anyway, this was not an OK film.

  • I was compelled to see this movie because of everything I'd heard about it.. I figured I'd get a little bit of gore, some weirdness. What I got was unease. Not because of the ugliness or violence, but because of how Michael Rooker portray's the cool, calm, and almost endearing Henry, to Tom Towles lowlife imbicilic Otis. You almost ALMOST like Henry, and it makes you question yourself. This one is realistic, gritty, and grim. It's a GOOD movie..

  • @minjofu Man, that was a great point,..also that girl looks just Becky from Rossanne.

  • Okay did anybody else feel the thrill of murder while watching this movie? I got the most intense sensation I've ever felt when Henry killed Otis, like I was naked and something more (or other) than myself. Rage doesn't quite describe it. It was the most horrifying feeling I can imagine. Murder. The only word to describe it. A truly magnificent movie, easily my favorite horror film of all time. The camera angles really make the movie, which has virtually no flaws.

  • this film is very dark, and very disturbing, well done john mc naughton.

  • @derek1969able so you dont like modern movies? you like all these very old movies from the 80s? lol you are a fucking dork, you probably watch those old black and white movies too. what a fucking idiot you are. fucking moron.

  • @Bregowald People like the person your talking about are the type of people who makes the movies many people watch today. including the stupid shit there playing now days that has more explosions then story and good acting. The best movies ever made were first shown with shitty picture and bad graphics but thats because the story is so good you have to be an idiot not to like it. which judging by your comments to someone who simply likes a movie, I'm more then likely talking to an idiot.

  • @Bregowald Thats not nice to say. You shouldnt call him those names. And curse at him.

  • @Bregowald You made a completely mindless and groundless inference from derek1969able's comment. Your stupidity deserves you to be properly murdered.

  • he is going to be in black ops! :D

  • the only reason i looked this up is because henry the serial killer is going to be a new character in the dlc 2 for black ops call of the dead along with the bad ass guy from machete, buffy the vampire slayer, and freddy krueger.

  • this movie is not boring. i like violent disturbing movies. Michael Rooker is awesome in the film. the sequel sucks!

  • good video and a very cool killer, but Hannibal Lecter is better xD

  • 0:16 i thought he was heath ledger from the video pic

1:50 is creepy looks to real was he strangling her?

  • kinda boring

  • Looks boring

  • Based upon actual events, but with quite a few dramatic differences. Similar in that regard to Tobe Hooper's The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. This film is a masterpiece of Modern Horror and essential viewing for anyone interested in the horror genre. Love the fact the MPAA rated it X on overall tone. My mom got me the 2 disc 20th ann for x-mas a few years back.

  • Definitely one of the most upsetting and frightening films I've seen.

  • Awesome endin .. epic movie !!

  • One of my all time favorites...

  • Getting ready to hit the play button on the DVD for this right now. Oooh yeah. As soon as I hit post, the movie will play.

  • werent they homos in reality? why are they sleeping with women in the film?

  • @evilspin The film is "loosely" based on them. Not much fact just the same names.

  • @CelestialWoodway Yeah but I meant in reality not in the movie.

  • @evilspin No. Not gay. Toole was forced to dress like a girl as a child and Lucas had his first homo encounter as a child. He was the victim of a pedophile. Ottis Toole was ACTUALLY the most brutal of the two, committing his first murder at 14 and his fanatic love of mutilating the dead.

  • @WildlifeSeriaLKiller ok cool. But just so people understand, just because you are a victim of a pedophile, DOES NOT make you gay as an adult!

  • @evilspin The thing that differed Henry was the fact that he liked to kill each victim differently. Never the same as long as he could help it.

  • @WildlifeSeriaLKiller Gibberish. Henry lied all the time. It's thought he may have killed as few as 2 people and *at most* MAYBE 40.

  • great movie - simple - but good

  • If you want to see a really well researched, well written, & well acted movie on serial killing, see this movie. It's strength is it's gritty "in the room with you" realism; it delivers a heavy atmosphere of sociopathy like no other film.

  • @nathanwilefrazier

hey i try looking for the movie you are talking about but i cant find it, do you know where i might find it??

  • @mariel1290 If you download divX player, register for stagevu, check "don't filter search results" on the account, search the title in their engine, and wait a few minutes for buffering, you can watch it there.

  • @nathanwilefrazier dude what movie are u talkin about

  • This is the best piece of serial killer cinema, Fuck the Silence of the lambs Henry would destroy Hannibal Lecter.

  • @krono965 I still enjoy watching Silence of the Lambs but Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer is a much deeper look into a serial killer with no relief in the form of authority figures like the FBI

  • Is this movie even on DVD?

  • @evilmidget yeah it was but it's been pulled from the markets. I maaged to get probably one of the last ones from a store in Finland. God bless ignorant people.

  • Despite there isn' t a logical plot, It' s cool. Especially when they rape the woman, it' s more violent, and longer than Orange Clock.

It hadn' t success what a pity!

  • @ALBE939

    A Clockwork Orange*

  • You are right...What do you think about my opinions???

  • @ALBE939

yea i agree with you its a movie that seems so real (the acting)

  • @yetipoop You know, I have NEVER seen that movie, although I hear it is supposed to be pretty disturbing. I have seen mixed reviews about it. Kind of like I did about ERASERHEAD before I gave it a shot. Eraserhead was too slow. Good, disturbing in a sci fi sorta way, but soooo slow. A Serbian film.... sick. August Underground's MORDUM.... Sick again... and both equally disturbing. Those last two top my list... for now.

  • This film is true horror, Its more of a snuff film then slasher.

It is a horrible, hauntingly accurate Vision of social depravity and Anarchy.

I remember watching this when i was about 8 with my mum. Lol

Everytime i watch it, it leaves me with a foul taste in my mouth of a dread and hopelessness.

    i love this movie :D

  • @borochone you watched it young too? And they claim watching R-rated movies underage is bad. We turned out just fine.

  • I remember watching this film when i was young, the parth where they chopped off the head in the bathroom made me throw up.

  • Scary stuff .. better than any slasher film - not a fan of slashers and haven't seen any but I just know these things..ha. Very very loosely based on Lucas .. this is more scary as Michael Rooker is a likable killer, if there even was one.

  • @11xzxzxz Most of the people I know would rather watch a slasher film than this film, nine times out of ten. The reason is that Henry is too real to them.

  • @3baxcb I agree and your point on "no relief" and return to Kansas is a good one. Otis' sister really made the film something great and let us in to see Henry's madness clearer esp when we realize Henry didn't want this woman for even sex and was repulsed by normal sexuality I still think Silence of the Lambs is excellent and Red Dragon with Feinnes and Watson and Norton are all great. Better than Hannabal or Manhunter - both still interesting.

  • i remember this when i was 6 use to scare me crazy

  • This movie was based on the real Henry and Otis like how Psycho and the Texas Chainsaw Massacre were based on the real Ed Gein, loosley based, not a retelling of their real actions .

  • When I was in a "dark" place, this man was my Hero!

  • Haven't seen this film yet, but will soon. It is a mixture of COMBAT SHOCK & MANIAC (2 I haven't seen yet but never will). Looks very tought to watch but worth not forgetting.

  • "It is a mixture of COMBAT SHOCK & MANIAC"

really? sounds too good to be true...

  • Director John mcnaughton, who was a part of the local Chicago film scene was given 127,000 grand to make a terrifying horror flick. Couldn't afford to do monsters, ghosts, or aliens nor could they afford the expenses to shoot elsewhere. Plus the film is only loosely based on Henry lee Lucas. Elements such as henrys mother beating him and him killing her are true.

  • I looked up Henry and Otis's biography on Wikipedia. Neither one of them ever lived in Illinois. Anyone know why this movie would take place in chi-town?

  • wow...the trailer alone pulls at me...i must watch this movie...

  • @ToxiChild23 i have it if u wanna c it but i hav't finished it yet

  • the most brutal film about serial killers (some will say that there are other more brutal) but .. henry is more raw and look like a documentary! simply devastating

  • naa really this is the only good one.

  • @nightriderlopes Gary Ridgway has the most PROVED killings.

  • @nightriderlopes What's your opinion of Henry (part) 2?

  • @AngelofAnguish have not seen this part 2...

  • @nightriderlopes Too bad this movie is mostly fictional. Henry is known for being more of a wannabe serial(basically a big liar) killer only killing a few people. This movie portray's the serial killer he wanted to be. The most accurate serial killer movie I've ever seen is probably "Zodiac(great movie btw)." However, you're right this is the most brutal one.

  • @09tranm - Actually, Henry Lee Lucas was a pretty nasty serial killer. However, he exaggerated his murderous rampage.

  • @Fatcatnevercameback Oh yeah no doubt about that. He was pretty bad, but when I saw the documentary he totally made up alot of his murders just like you said. Like I said though this movie seemed to portray the serial killer he probably really wanted to be. Anyways, though I gave you a thumbs up this movie was great.

  • @nightriderlopes

yea, well look up countess elizabeth bathory.... or better yet prince vlad aka vlad the impaler... see if henry is more brutal than them.... serial killers are like viruses theirs always new mutations evolving...

  • @nightriderlopes It is a documentary. Henry was a real serial killer who killed over 100 people.

  • I always remember that poster for this film

"He's not Freddy, He's not Jason

    HE'S REAL!"

  • @cha5 A large part of this movie is fictional but the real killer was a monster. Like portrayed in the movie. This movie is really good and its also really graphic. Its definatley better than most horror movies.

If you liked this movie you might like the movie "Zodiac" that was really good too and surprisingly Zodiac was really accurate to real life.

  • @09tranm Well Zodiac was based on true events.

  • @09tranm yeah great movie. I also recommend Snowtown, I just watched it. It gave me the chills.
