GREAT BRUCE VIDEO!! I have a teen-oriented, hockey themed book coming out in October which has over 25 Bruce song and characters from Bruce songs, references (the hockey team is named the Magic Rats, the lead character plays hockey "undeneath Abrams Bridge" etc)!!
I did a promo video for the book and you can see the video by just clicking on my name.
Squirrellone made the video when the song Radio Nowhere was released, before the video. Squirrellone you did an excellent job on this video, great compilation of previous Bruce concerts.
This is the best song Bruce has released in the last 15 years, it has electricity, a catchy hook, and delivers the blue collar old fashioned guts and soul rock Bruce captivated so many fans with in the 70's and early to mid 80's
This is awesome!! And coming from one of the nuts that have seen him, and them live countless times, I've got to say, I can't wait to see him again!! Great job, Bruce and E Street - as always, you come through rockin' us into pure pleasure! Love you!
'He's done nothing interesting with the guitar since Steel Mill' ---- Actually that's not correct, I have seen a few fleeting of moments of guitar energy in concert and the guitar parts on the 'The Wild, the Innocent...' album are beautiful. I hope his new CD returns to the guitar as a focal point.
Like I said, those who were there know what I'm talking about. He's done nothing interesting with the guitar since Steel Mill, it was very loose in those days but a lot more exciting. That Les Paul/Marshall amp stack sound was huge. I still think he's one of the greatest talents in rock history, I've always hoped he would give us some of that stirring guitar again, Adam Raised a Cain and a few parts of 'Darkness' are about as close as he has gotten to that sound.
...and while I'm on the subject of Steel Mill, I have seen Bruce many times through the years and there still hasn't been an E Street Band concert that has equaled the power and intensity of Steel Mill at it's best. It's too bad we only have the less-than-great quality recordings from those days, he had to be seen to be believed and those who were there know what I'm talking about.
Steel Mill was very entertaining, but nothing from Bruce's days of ambling pontification (an era I liked a lot, mind you) can even come close to any live performance from 1975 on. Not even close.
Actually the song isn't bad and will definitely come alive in concert. I'm still waiting for some real heavy guitar from Bruce, like Adam Raised a Cain or, even better, He's Guilty from his Steel Mill days.
Most say Im disapointed with the tour dates - all arenas. Wheres the boss of concerts gone that can entertain over 80,000 fans at the worlds biggest stadiums. I hope he announces more dates 4 the summer in places such as Slane Castle in Ireland, Wembly Stadium in London and of course Bruces back garden - Giants Stadium, New Jersey. Great song!
I am disapointed with the tour dates also. For the first time in over 20 years he is passing over Phoenix Arizona. I guess I will be going to L.A. Oct. 28th. I hope he hits Phoenix on the second leg. I am hearing that it will be a 15 month tour. I will be in L.A.
i was disappointed to not to see phoenix in the list. He better hit phoenix the second time around. Just look at the dates...no florida? no texas? no seattle? This is just the warm up...by the time he gets to phoenix the band will be hotter than hell...or a typical summer day in phoenix :-)
I also have a feeling he will hit Phoenix. I will be in L.A. for the Oct. show. Then I will just have to go again if he comes to Arizona. You know he is going to perform more than 2 dates in Jersey.
gutted, never got through for the london show this morning, theres hundreds if tix on ebay and all the agencys are charging around £200 hope they all rot in hell, bout time they put a stop to this shit
The same thing is going to happen in the U.S. Tickets are already listed but the venue on his website is TBA. Explain that. It is bull shit that hundreds of tickets are blocked off before they even go on sale.
Had to book through an agency called event travel, its cost me £180 for the tanding ticket and a night in a hotel nearby, which is at least twice as dear if i could have done it on my own, but needs must, at least they are going to be genuine tix i have used them before for u2 showas in the us ireland and spain and they always use good hotels
I don't think this sounds like his old stuff at all, not that i'm knocking the song. His music will never have the spontaneity and intensity that it had on his first three records with the ESB. After those first three records his music never had the same magic (har har) to it. The seeger sessions was probably the closest thing he's come to it since. Love the new song though.
This sounds like the "Hollywood"-period in 1991-1992.....but with more intense guitars....Miss the 1978 sound, but this song is better than the rock songs on Human Touch and Lucky Town
This has the same distorted guitar sound as Adam Raised a Cain on Darkness, so how do we know that the rest of the album will sound like the "Hollywood" era.

Good job trying to synch the old footage and the new song. I am so DIGGING this new song. And I hope I can pull off getting tickets to the a show since I've never seen Springsteen perform live with the E-Street Band.
Go anywhere you have to,if you have never seen him with the East Street Band. He puts more into one song than anyone else puts into an entire show. He is not hitting Arizona so I will try for tickets for the L.A show. I still think he will hit Arizona on the 2nd leg. Have a good feeling he will come during the 2 week span over the Super Bowl that is in Arizona this year. I will still go to L.A. because I will not chance missing him on this tour.
After listening to it a couple of times I think I like it - it's great to hear a harder sound from Springsteen. Would have liked a guitar solo instead of sax though.
This song is like an explosion of energy
