  • @MrPitbull512

    yes

  • @MrPitbull512

    yes

  • It's my goal in life to be half as good as you are...

  • incredible playing, you make it look so effortless. Didn't know the jazzmaster could do that. Now I want one even more.

  • are you playing with the tb4 bridge or the neck antiquity.

that is a sweet looking jazzmaster, is it a mij or usa?

  • @oneguyincalifornia

i play both, for example I play the intro with the neck pup, the first solo with the bridge pup

  • 'surf-alt.rock-shoegaze "machine"' - i lold :D

but hey thats what jm's are made for :P

  • @sify11

They have been made for Jazz, but the guitarist play what he wants to play with the guitar he like.

  • One of the best sounding electric guitar I have heard. Great performance.

  • @Dori1953 It's his hands and the amp. The guitar has very little to do with it.

  • best guitar in the world

  • @yojoe71 Hell yeah. Jaguars and Jazzmasters are the best!

  • You are a great player!!!!

  • This guitar sounds so beautiful. I must have it...

  • its funny how nonchalant you are, just kinda lookin around the room while you play this song that is by no means easy, great work though, its a great cover

  • vum vum vum vum VUM

  • nice finish on that jazzmaster, whats it called

  • more moving men you look like stoned

  • I need to practice this sing more, also, nice room/guitars!

  • Use your pinkie.

  • i like your bedroom

  • I dunno ... I think that jazzmaster sounds good with that song. who woudda thought?

  • Nice!

  • ur a douche! for playing that shit on that guitar =]

  • What should I play with that guitar?

  • shoegaze

  • @Jazzmaster11

    lol Megadeth

  • hehe!

    Marty Friedman would be proud?

  • very nice one of the best ive seen so far.

  • the most expensive guitars ive ever played were the gibson byrdland, which is my great uncles, and the rickenbacker 4001 from 64', which is mine, and the jazzmaster has to be up there with the top.

  • Great video, its quite interesting how this cover sounds on a Fender as one can distinguish the tone it gives to the song. Congrats

  • fantastic cover!look at mine please and rate!

  • Really good

  • nice sound dude

  • YOU ARE GREAT

  • this is a fantastic cover.

  • Excellent tone...for a Jazzmaster. Don't get me wrong, I'll take a jazzmaster over a les paul any day. But it's not that easy to nail this song on a Jazzmaster. But you cvame pretty damn close:)

  • No problem vetzaaak I understand what you mean, I've not made this video to prove Jazzmaster is better than Les Paul for this kind of music (it would be insane in term of rock's history).

The aim of my videos was to show that JM is not only a surf-alt.rock-shoegaze "machine"

  • Yeah, I guess too many people think that a jazzmaster is a one trick pony. But the truth is that a Jazzmaster can sorta copy the sound of a les paul a little bit -with the right player, amp and effects- but a Les Paul isn't quite as versitle and can't really nail the JazzMaster tone. Again, nice job making people aware of this:)

  • dont you think his effects/amp determine what kind of sound you get as oppose to the type of guitar? slash uses a les paul, and this guy's tone is just about perfect using a jazz master...cobain used the same guitar and his sound was totally different. dont think i'm trying to argue/make you look bad, its just what ive always been told.

  • Liek I said, Jazzmaster11's sound comes pretty close. But the guitar DOES make a difference, trust me. Don't mean to sound snooty, but you've obviously never played a decent Les Paul, have you? I had the chance to a/b the two for a while. The different tonewoods, the set neck, the humbuckers, etc....They make the les paul a completely different sounding instrument.

  • yeah i've played on one or two really expensive guitars in my time, mut i'm certianlly no expert. you dont sound snooty at all, i just feel like the amp/effects determine the kind of distortion you end up with. like a randall sounds alot different than a marshall, wvwn when you plug the same guitar into them.

  • It's true, the amplifier makes a big difference, but it's also easy to hear the difference in different guitars. But nearly everything makes a difference. You can actually hear differences between two different output transformers in a fine tube amplifier (even in a video, I imagine it would be easier in person). It sort of gives it a slightly different timbre and can affect the smoothness of the sound slightly. It's really small differences we're talking here though.

  • I'm not sure when or where Kurt Cobain ever played a jazzmaster...? I remember reading somewhere that he was into jaguars and mustangs, and If I'm not mistaking he mostly used a strat for recording. He often played strats live as well.

  • the player and guitar matter a lot more than the effects and amp unless you're using modeling.

  • sure, amp>guitar always, but this guitar doesn't handle bends and slides like a les paul does, mainly because if the tail piece and the tremolo set-up it has got. He's got the tone pretty much. Only issues seem to me are the sustain although that's arguable and the bends, they are harder to do on this guitar, which I know from experience.

  • @darkravers009 you've got the answers to everything don't you?? yeah, can't stand people that have to fender vs. gibson in every situation. it's really the player. not the instrument. and i'd say that it's a nearly flawless job for being done on a guitar that is "totally opposite" of "what it should be played on" as a person might say.

  • which model of jazz master is this ?

  • one of the best cover i ever seen

  • best sweet child o mine guitar cover on youtube

  • Thanks but I think KOBIBA (and many others) got a better feeling and sound.

  • Awsome cover man. Say where'd you get your Jazzmaster?

  • Fender Jazzmasters are known for their lack of sustain, how come this guitar have such a nice sustain? thanks to pickup change and electronics?

  • Because there's not a lack of sustain if the setup is good.

Moreover Jazzmasters have 1meg pots, it provides a lot of dynamics, thus vol. difference between the attack and the end of sound is more important than others guitars but the lenght of the sound isn't really shorter.

  • You''re fantastic ! Thanks for putting this up : -)

  • yeah very good ! I like very much the final..

  • Very nice indeed. I'm thinking about buying a jmaster myself. Did you use any pedals?

  • you look awkward when you play

but you did a really good job

  • oh my f... God that was awesome man! I like your iprovisation

  • you are a very versatile player

i'm another one of those guys that play rock and jazz only i've never attempted any Guns N Roses songs

  • A few mistakes in the solo, but hey- I can't do any better :'(

  • perfect

  • That was so awesome ^-^

  • Awesome outro, the tapping was a nice touch.

  • great playing

  • awesome

  • good looking guitar amazing sound also of course

  • that was so great!

  • wow :) again your sound is amazing

  • wow!!!!

  • nice solo dude....love ur wah...keep on rocking...

  • i love you"re guitar

  • i like how you have so much energy when you play, haha

    love it

  • very good

  • Great cover, I've never really liked jags/jazzmasterss but I really like the sound you've got here, what amp are you using?

  • Engl E660.

  • nice

  • good but tuning is one half step down

  • great job dude 5 stars from me!!! if you get the chance take a look at my cover =)

  • jazzmasters and jaguars look the same lol

  • what kind of wah did you use, it amazing.

    great cover by the way!

  • hello everyone

    is snowing

  • one can never have too many Jazzmasters or Jaguars I say.

  • @rhykko77 unless they have all of them, cuz then i wouldnt have any for me XD

  • coolness :) you the man!

p.s. try tying random stuff into the comment box and press audio preview...it funny :)

  • cool

  • ohh( ok i gothca....

  • like a cucumber you stay!but you are a good guitar player

  • thast my point! nevermind

  • ot well tuned but still a nice cover

  • dude...the original tune is NOT clean...

  • this isn't clean, it's full of distortion.

  • no, what he meant was that he was dissapointed that he didn't play the clean parts of the song...not that the whole song should be played clean

  • Why did I even bother when I knew it would be distorted?

*Waits to see if he plays clean parts*

    *Sigh*

  • man why you gotta be so negative dude like he wanted to cover the song in his style so let him do what he likes and anyways it was awesome!!!!!!!!!!!1

  • It is cool man. I'm just a clean freak. I am a firm believer that if a guitar doesn't sound good clean, it's not worth buying.

Jazzmasters sound great clean, and I'm disapointed that there aren't more videos of it clean.

  • how'd you get the backing track?

  • guitarbt

  • l0l

  • great playing!

  • hey is that buzz stop device worth it? does it make a big difference for sustain? I have a J Mascis Jazzmaster with 11 wound 3rd and it doesn't buzz at all, so I don't need it for that, if it does affect sustain and tone however, I just may buy one.

also, how do you afford so many nice jazzmasters????

  • is it a fender jaguar in the background

  • no, Only JM, short scale is not for me.

  • oh okay... really nice cover anyway:)

  • Was never a big GNR fan but that Jazzmaster sounds better than Slash's Les Paul rofl!

What are your amp settings? Any stomp boxes used for the main riff?

    Thanks.

  • Thanks guy,

Here I use a tonebone plexitube thru a Fender twin.

  • hey man where did you learn it from cause i would like the tab

  • Very nice.

  • Excellent! Have you had the chance to play any Fano JM6's?

  • How did this get 4.5 stars?! It should be 5/5

  • thats really good :)

  • by the looks of things u have quite a few jazzmasters and i think u should try a vid where u are talking about all your jazzmasters and letting people see how meny u have and like what pickups u have in them

  • Great idea, but I may need a translator, my english is absolutly awfull...

  • where did you get the rhythm of the song?? . ..i mean the drums and base...thnx

  • I thinks it's from guitar techniques issue 130. They have the backing track and it's played in the key of G, which is what he's playing in (unless he's tuned down half a step).

  • where did you get the rhythm of the song??... i mean the drums, bass etc... thnx ^^,

  • Awesome!! and very cool guitar. te salio muy chido ehh

  • Is this a japanese Jazzmaster? Will the antiquity pickups fit my japanese JM?

  • wow, awesome playing with an awesome guitar. Well done!

  • excellent cover! :D play it myself, but had some tiny small parts i wasnt sure about, but this vid really helped. Keep up the good work!

  • Vraiment cool, bravo !

  • is that your bed? wow the price you pay to have all those jazzmasters...

  • lol!

    No it's not my bed...

  • what amp/pedals were you using? sounds good

  • A tonebone plexitube thru a Fender cyber twin.

  • Nice, you play this song very well

  • Great video, great guitar! What is the name of the colour of that Jazzmaster? It is probably the the best looking JM I've ever seen!

  • I want to know too. That guitar looks beautiful.

  • Oh, I think it's Lake Placid blue, by the way.

  • do you change any of the electronics in your jazzmasters or just the pickups?

  • I've changed the electronics too.

  • Dude!! You should be kickin' out some My Bloody Valentine... not G-n-R!!

  • MBV is not funny to play when you're alone, the atmosphere is more important than the guitar.

  • the ending sounds like hendrix...

  • I have a question. These new mexico jazzmasters/jaguars that fender released recently. Does anyone know if they're any good? i love that bodyshape and a jazzmaster would suit my needs for a second guitar...and to play sonic youth

    peace,love and empathy

  • yes the mexicans are def. high quality and use all american parts and pickups, they are just assembled in mexico. although i haven't played the new models yet, i have played a 60's strat that sounded incredible and i'm sure they are of the same quality. still, you'll never know until you try one if it's for you, so always try it before you buy it.

  • what bridge is that? it looks like a tuneomatic... if so, is it roller?

  • it seems to be one of the first mods alot of people might do to a jazzmaster is fix that buzz due to the bridge

  • man, is this a gibson les paul or a fender jazzmaster?

    uehuehueh

    perfect sound

  • Nice sound...pickups make a huge difference...my Custom Shop Jazzmaster has strat-noiseless pickups...think they are SCN IICR.

  • seymour duncan antiquity ? one step away from making this guitar a Les Paul aren't you? Nice playing but this guitar is not a stock JM.

  • SD Antiquity are pup for Jazzmaster, the neck pup produces a tipically sound of Jazzmaster.

  • Excellent! Have you had the chance to play any Fano JM6's?

  • duuuudeee

did you change the quarter pound pickups...?

if you did, plz tell meeeee

  • Just read the video description.

  • did you modify that guitar at all? are you using any pedals?

  • Well, I've simply upgraded the bridge pups with a SD TB4 and the neck pup with a SD Antiquity II for Jazzmaster.

  • About the pedals, I use a tonebone plexitube for the overdrive/distorsion and a Crybaby slash wah.

  • Hey can you play some Nirvana? It should take you about 2 minutes to learn one of their songs:)

  • There's a little piece of Nirvana on my video "antiquity II demo"

  • Rreally nice tone and playing.

  • Hey, What model of a Jazzmaster is this?

    I'm considering buying one :)

  • hey man, i've watched all your vids, and this is by far my fav jazzmaster, its sounds so good... is it american re-issue? either way its so nice the color and the headstock color and everything, gorgeous. and all these people who ask you "why do you have so many jazzmasters?" they've probally never even played one. i was wonder do you know if you can put regular like seymour humbucker into a jazz? and are the soapboxes there humbuckers? cuz i really want to upgrade the pickups on my jazz.

  • scruples, my friend. it's pretty spot on.

  • that's a beautyfull guitar

  • That tone is perfect

  • great playing

  • bonjour=) why did you buy so many fender jazzmasters?
