The chapter before Cog Of Destiny is your key. Just give your low-STR frontliners Iron weapons or basic tomes, or have your resident Swordmaster or dodger attract enemies. These people will not be able to kill the foes in a hit, leaving a free kill for Nino. To double the EXP per turn, Ninian can help.
Not to mention that the chapter is filled with tasty Peg. and Wyvern riders for Nino to feed on. Done right, Nino can hit 20 in just that level alone. Just watch out for far-ranged magic.

Yeah, Raven and Guy are hella boss in my stories. Raven maxed out Skl and Spd as a lv 9 Hero (I made him a Lv20 Merc first) and eventually Str and his Def is above-average too. I also made Guy a lv 20 Myrd before promotion and he maxed out Skl and Spd and his Str was surprisingly 22 (I don't RNG abuse) and his luck was also high as a lv 20 Swordmaster. That gave him an INSANE critical % with a killing edge.
Haha, he is named after a Sumerian deity. Nergal, king of the Netherworld. It is quite fitting that they made him a dark wizard, in fact I think some people still praise him in dark magic. One of his main godly traits was magic, I believe.

what she lacks in attack, is compensated with most of her other stats maxed out
while hector deals 20 damage to fire dragon, and takes half his hp out bcause he isnt able to dodge it, lyn deals 3 or 4 hits and just then gets touched (7x3=21)
Hector can have two blows per turn against the Fire Dragon.
That translates into 50+ damage each turn phase, and 100+ damage in one turn. Compared to Lyn, that's a two-turn, five-blow finish without having to rely on crit.
Attack power isn't everything, but Hector is the best lord to use against the Fire Dragon.
I think your Hector just lucked out with his speed and managed to double hit the dragon.When I used Hector against the dragon,only hit it once and dealt only 15 dmg. with Armads.Ughh...I was really unlucky on that playthrough.But managed to pull it off with Canas dealing 33 dmg and hit the dragon 2 times and that's over half of the dragon's Hp making it an easy 1 turn kill.
i say athos is the best because when i went to fight the dragon with him it had a 96% chance of hitting and it missed and then athos attacked it twice and killed it because of a very lucky 1% critical and then just a normal attack.
Athos could deal a considerable amount of damage,
but he has poor ass defense that just barely allows him to survive one blow. At any rate, if you want Athos to solo the dragon, he'll definitely need a healer/a full batch of elixir.
Canas, on the other hand, I had him solo the fire dragon with only 1 elixir and no healer/bard.
Erk = most amazing character, even if his stat development is different on different palythroughs sometimes he owns in power but can't attack twice, sometimes he can attack twice but can't do anything...
Im amazed how mathew fail on doing a critical with his first attack at 58 Crit, and even more when my Canas critical Sonia twice with only 18 crit XD.

Why would you waste the Regal blade on Eliwood? Use it on Guy. If you are lucky enough to raise Guy's Strength, then he is like the best character to deal with the bosses.

Actually who is good, I think, depends on the game. As an example, in the game that I bought, I always trained everybody, with the arena, however, their where some things that even with 84 games logged I could not get my Guy to get a strength rating above 15, even with add ons.
When I tested it on another game I got 23 strength without add ons right off the bat, but my Erk sucked comparatively to what I was used to. In my first game I managed to make a team of Dart, Hector, Eliwood, Lyn, and Matthew, all of them have full support with somebody on the team and full secondary support.
i got Serras avoid over 100 just by A supporting her with Erk. Serra/Erk is the most overpowered support in the game (but also the hardest to get >.>)
Priscilla used inferior damage inferior magic type inferior all! It was somehow super effective!

Nergal has a resistance of 30 by default;
Nino's max magic cap is 30; therefore the two negate each other.

Against Nergal, I think the best Excalibur can do is about 18 damage at around 15% critical hit rate, BEFORE supports and Nils.
Nergal has 30 resistance, Excalibur has 18 MT; so without any supports, a max capped unit of 30 magic can do 18 damage to Nergal.

The weakest Lord is probably Eliwood. It's a struggle to get him to max out more than one stat with me usually.

Actually, believe it or not, the Fire Dragon in FE7 only has 15 speed, despite having all other stats be 24+.
Hector's max speed caps are 24;
Armads has a WT of 18;
Hector has a CON of (no less than) 15.
Therefore, when wielding the Armads, Hector's final attack speed is 24 - (18 - 15) = 21.
Which, if you have max speed (and with Hector's growth stats, isn't impossible), is still 6 faster than the Fire Dragon's.
The prerequisite for double attacking is ATK Spd - Enemy Atk Speed >=4.

Canas (I believe) can deal a maximum of 29+5=34 damage (his magic cap + support bonus), at at least a critical hit rate of 14%+supports.
But only with Luna.

but without that "couple" of items, forde, kyle, franz or any other pally can be much stronger
pd: in FE8 u can get infinite money, and max all chars stats with "couples" of items

yeah, my lyn pawns too. She can pawn hector and eliwood combined....in the arena because i gave her dragonshield and afa's drops....
how can pricilla wield excalibur? Mine had s in staff and can't get s in anima.
and hylink rex hasta, regal blade, and others are not divine weapons. nergal just created them.

Actually who is good, I think, depends on the game. As an example, in the game that I bought, I always trained everybody, with the arena, however, their where some things that even with 84 games logged I could not get my Guy to get a strength rating above 15, even with add ons.

When I tested it on another game I got 23 strength without add ons right off the bat, but my Erk sucked comparatively to what I was used to. In my first game I managed to make a team of Dart, Hector, Eliwood, Lyn, and Matthew, all of them have full support with somebody on the team and full secondary support.

Also Dart has full strength, speed, two from full luck, one from full defence, five from full resistance, and five from full skill.
My Lyn has full stats except for health which she was missing 12, and defence which was missing 4. Everyone else has very similiar stats.

she's my favorite character so far in the game
SNIPERS are the best...wooohooo
Plus if you make her support with will and dart...she can get higher than 100% avoid...^^

i got Serras avoid over 100 just by A supporting her with Erk. Serra/Erk is the most overpowered support in the game (but also the hardest to get >.>)
