  • Democratic organizations scare the hell out of capital. You guys inspire.

  • looked up union in the dictionary and it stated; see "Wing-Nut"

  • I looked up unino in the dictionary and it stated see "Wing-Nut"

  • This Bozo is a total fruit cake. I feel sorry for you Union idiots. So brain washed

  • wow.. got real quiet in here all of a sudden.. wheres everyone that was saying they didnt need us now??

  • Student that shows solidarity with all the workers of the world. Do not cave in to the corporate tyrant's schemes

  • Check out YouTube by greekthuglife69 to see how Verizon treats their workers u already know how they treat u

  • NOT A CHANCE IN HELL VERIZON SURVIVES WITHOUT THE WORKING MEN AND WOMAN OF CWA. THEYRE ONLY CHANCE IS TO SELL OFF FIOS!!!!AND WE ALL KNOW THEY WILL NEVER DO THAT!!!!SORRY VERIZON, YOU CANNOT WIN THIS ONE AND NEVER WILL!!!!

  • Unions paved the way to the middle class for millions of American workers and pioneered benefits such as paid health care and pensions along the way.And non-union workers—particularly in highly unionized industries—receive financial benefits from employers who increase wages to match what unions would win in order to avoid unionization.Unfortunately, declining unionization rates mean that workers are less likely to receive good wages

  • The essence of what labor unions do—give workers a stronger voice so that they can get a fair share of the economic growth they help create—is and has always been important to making the economy work for all Americans. And unions only become more important as the economy worsens.

One of the primarily reasons why our current recession endures is that workers do not have the purchasing power they need to drive our economy. Even when times were relatively good, workers were getting squeezed.

  • The essence of what labor unions do—give workers a stronger voice so that they can get a fair share of the economic growth they help create—is and has always been important to making the economy work for all Americans. And unions only become more important as the economy worsens

unions are about satisfying the workers that belong to them. - we cannot help the fact that you are not treated as well as us..

  • ARE UNIONS GOOD?? - In much of industrial America, workers toiled under very unsafe conditions, earning extremely low pay and enjoying little to no legal protection. Unions were successful in bringing about many improvements for such workers, such as more reasonable working hours. They have generally served workers well by helping them avoid being exploited by employers. Even in these days, unions have a strong impact.

  • It's still hard to believe: A magnificently wealthy corporation, whose top executives live in palaces fit for kings, demanding that the working stiffs who made it wealthy give up their pensions and their job security. How terribly disgusting. How stomach turning. Strike back at them CWA!!! Slice off the head of the corporate snake IBEW!!!!!

  • Boy, that Verizon sure sounds like a lousy place to work. In that case, why don't you union crybabies do the city a favor and QUIT, you overpaid assholes!

  • @FrankeeFraud Tsk... Tsk.... Potty Mouth.

  • @FrankeeFraud Tsk...Tsk...Potty mouth.

  • Screw Verizon. If I had a Verizon phone, I'd be dropping it for sure. I want no part of this hate.

  • copied and pasted from a news article:

Verizon's proposals would cut healthcare benefits for retirees, slash sick days, and eliminate benefits for workers who get hurt on the job. They even want to increase the number of jobs they outsource and send overseas

  • another thing verizon wont tell anyone is that they have not realeased ANY new work to expand fios in a year - because they can increase their penetratiton rate in existing areas and still "claim" there expansion rate has slowed down by not building new plant.. why do they only refer to "telephone lines" when they now offer internet and tv too.. its all propagada you dont see cause you dont see what goes on within the compmany.

  • if there is no money in the landline service why did verizon hire thounsands of people a few years ago as temps and then make them permanent for that part of the company? why did they buy brand new trucks and tools? why have they raved about how fios makes them money hand over fist and boasts record returns to investors? why have they been able to use tax loopholes and not pay tax on ANYTHING in 2 years while they were given A BILLION dollar tax refund?

  • and in case anyone forgot - most of the unions were formed after WW2, beause companies were treating there workers like slave labor. forcing them to have to work crazy hours for pennies- and people had nowhere to turn cause every job was like that. - weather or not you want to admit it - the unions are the reason people had it as good as they did.. the companies use the ecomony as an excuse.for eveything. when it was booming a few years ago how come nobody shared it with you???

  • and make no mistake, the people that cross the lines to go and work may make a few extra bucks this year - but they destroy their reputaion with the union, their coworkers, and with the compmay too.. their names will be posted as line crossers on the union sites, and managment looses repsect for them also, becuase they make it painfully obvious that they cant be trusted. the strike is up to the laywers - union and manegement just do what they are aked

  • Nice job. You're pretty much harassing workers trying to do their jobs. Swearing at them, attacking them, just so you don't have to pay a few extra dollars a month. Most of these union workers had not even completed high school, and making more than minimum wage.

Go protest and disturb those hard working employees waking up at 5 and coming home at 8 so they can fill your slots and keep the company moving.

  • @dragos240alt - excuse me - but the COMPANY hires the employess- and then they join the union.. many of our members even have master's degree's, as there are many requirments that must be met before you can work here.. including an aptitude test you have to pass before you will even be considered for employment. if im not mistaken i think less than 20% of all people that apply even pass the first test.. which is why we are working here - and you are working there..

  • so what? now people having to work from 5 am to 8 pm is a bad thing?? thats what you guys said we should all be doing!!!!! this is what your saying u want to happen!!!! you want everyone to suffer to just make YOU feel better about YOURSELF. . i give up posting on here... its painfully obvious we are dealing with the bottom of the barrel.. when this is all over ill come back and post again.. so i can laugh and say i told ya so..

  • @kctyphoon

No. It's not a bad thing. All I'm saying as that you people are just trying to make it harder for people that work hard and try to earn money for a living. Last time I checked, you were fighting for something most people have to pay for anyway. You say that your company is greedy? And yet you just want everything for yourselves. I'm not against strikes. Just laziness and ignorance.

  • @dragos240alt what we fight for is what sets the bar for all other employer's to start from. and for the record we are not asking for anything that we dont already have. we are just asking to keep it. THATS ALL. . as it stands verizon is begining to piss off just about every local police dept, and soon the be the federal gov verizon is reuired to show up and bargin with us, so they have been showing up, saying hello, andn leaving after 6 minutes this week.. they are not making many firends.

  • @dragos240alt umm.. AND we have been making it possible for people to get employement with a compmay where you DONT have to pay for it. no verizon worker is complaining about their job. they are complaining abou the company slowly trying to take away what people do have. please dont post comments like that - cause we all know that if everyone had a chnace at free healti insurance they would take it. anyone thats says threy would still WANT to pay for it is just a liar

  • @kctyphoon

Everyone pays for that you know. You're no different than the thousands of other people paying for it. Besides, if you look at what verizon is doing now, they're hiring other people out of state and filling your slots so that they can still function. They don't need you people. You aren't needed. Not in the slightest.

  • @dragos240alt - they are not hiring people from other states. they are forcing out of state managers to come here from as far away as florida and texas and telling them to come here or go home.. dont pretend to know whats going on..

  • fuck the verizon workers!!! they are ungrateful and should all just be fired. there are plenty of people that would love to have their jobs, not to mention the verbal abuse my aunt is taking from them for no reason at all. i doubt she really wants to be there with those lowlifes doing their job for them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! they are the fucking scabs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i cant wait to see their face when the strike is over and they find out that they've lost their job due to their behavior!!!!

  • you people fail to realize that what we do have was not just "given" to us. everything was fought for over years of bargining. and as soon as you start to give things up, it just opens the door for them to take more away next time. they are just a business looking to make as much as they can by any means. you guys have no idea whats been going on behind the scenes and how dirty this compnay plays - do a search for "verizon cribs" and you can see how hard up they are for money -

  • Animals...

Try acting like adults before you demand better "treatment" - enjoy the job you're not going to.

  • According to Forbes, Ivan Seidenberg earned $30.93 Million in TOTAL compensation in 2010. His 5-year Compensation total is $101.53 Million. Verizon lays off middle class workers and complains about a declining wireline business but yet their Board Members and CEO walk away with MILLIONS. Verizon should be a LEADER in building the Middle Class in the United States...instead, they are falling in line with every Greedy corporation that is sucking the LIFE from this beautiful country and its people.

  • so if your the same people arguing about illegal immigrants taking american jobs away ( and something tells me you are).. check out all the videos of the contractors that were hired.. 1 american front man to run each company, and an enitre mexican workfroce likely making $10 an hour with no health benefits. glad to see how verizon is relpalcing those "american jobs" that you think you stand a chance of getting.. great plan you guys have

  • @kctyphoon The jobs they're filling that the unions won't go to?

This is why I shop at Walmart - they don't bow to this union horseshit. Life sucks, cowboy up instead of screaming "PAY US!" - be glad you have a fucking job.

  • @wulfmanUNCP yea im sure thats y you shop there... you can go there and buy a tshirt that says " i beleive every american should make minimun wage, and be forever in debt, so we can dedicate our lives to making the rich richer, while i make sure my kids have less than i did " .. it really is scary how you people think.. now i know why verizon makes u take a placement exam before being considered for employment - most of you people really are dumb

  • GO CWA !

  • Awesome and inspiring video! Keep up the good work strikers! Power to the people!

  • its sad to say, but youtube has given everyone a huge look at to just how ignorant the general public is.. they cry people are out of work, and that those that do work are broke, and complain when somebody in INDIA answers their calls to customer service. but when the blue collar workers band together to help contain the damage being done,- people still complain. - please get of the internet and focus on removing your heads out of your own asses.. you truely are disease keeping us all down.

  • Damn its sad 45000 other people would love to have a job right now that are jobless and these guys cant take benefits that the entire company of Verizon has that are not under the union.

  • Thmbs up if you want to BUST THE UNIONS!

  • Hows that paycheck?

  • @beendankederik .. itll be good once we are back at work - which ALL of us will be.. at least the only time we are unemployed is WHEN WE CHOOSE TO BE.. ill have my job 20 years from now.. how long you think youll last?

  • @kctyphoon -Probably as long as I choose to be since Im self employed leach!

  • @beendankederik well that explains why your so jealous.. thanks for clearing that up

  • @kctyphoon jealous of? I will draw my check this week. Go get a job!

  • I'd absolutely love to bust your union! You people are idiots.

    "It's all about family values"

"Daddy, what does WTF mean?" HA! Morons!

Good luck scabs! Learn fast, learn well. Don't let these idiots get their jobs back!

  • @SuperDachshund It's more than likely you would have trouble breaking an egg much less a labor union. You're a fascistic little pipsqueak- mind your business.

  • @SuperDachshund whats funny is you calling us idiots, and you thinking we need to get our jobs "back".. you truely are clueless. and for the record, just to further prove your stupidity - verzon walked away from the tables, not us.. you should change you name to superdouchebag

  • @kctyphoon "just to further prove your stupidity - verzon walked away from the tables, not us.. "

So. . .why are you striking? Why aren't you at work? Seems like they had some kind of offer on the table before they walked away and YOU didn't take it. Ergo. . .they walked away.

Newsflash! We're in a recession! Get off your fat ass and get back to work. As a union busting scab if you have to!

  • @SuperDachshund - SUPERDUCHEBAG - WE ARE NOT AT WORK BECAUSE WE HAVE TO THE POWER TO STAND UP AND FIGHT FOR OURSELVESE TO NOT JUST " TAKE WHAT THEY WANT TO GIVE US" .. YOU ACT LIKE THIS IS THE FIRST STRIKE FOR VERIZON WORKERS.. GOT NEWS FOR YOU - WE HAVE WON EVERY SINGLE ONE.. KEEP HATIN - I LOVE IT

  • @kctyphoon Congratulations on your power to "stand up." Beats the shit out of "laying down" on the job doesn't it? Power to the scabs! Power to the unemployed who accept the jobs of union strikers in a recession!

My advice: Keep typing in all caps. It makes you look completely sane.

  • @SuperDachshund id never wish anything bad on people, but it really just boils down you not wanting to see us have more than you.. your like a 4 year old crying that his ice cream cone is smaller than mine.. u fail to realize that the government wont even allow the compnay to give us what they want to,.. we are backed at all sides.. sit back and watch us win another one,. when its your turn ill be on here posting you only deserve minumun wage - if u even have a job.

  • @kctyphoon Uh, NO! Projection is like that. You are the one bitching about your small ice cream cone. It's always somebody else's problem: Verizon, "those rich assholes," the government. . .always somebody else but you. Dry up, find a better company or take the offer you've been given, and get back to work.

  • @kctyphoon No? Okay.

Power to the scabs! Go scabs! We love you, scabs! You rock! You put America to work!

  • @SuperDouchebag - all you morons that post unti - union remarks under the impression that there are 45,000 other americans that would be able to have our jobs if we were fired - watch this clip - Click here: Verizon Strike 2011 Kline Construction - YouTube.. heres the reality of what your hoping for... heres the contractors verizon hired - 1 amercan contractor, with his entire mexican workforce. this is what would happen if the company would have its way.. this IS whats happening now.

  • @SuperDouchebag - i stayed in bed and watched tv ALL day today.. i think imma order a pizza tonite too - dont feel like making dinner either.. your rite i am lazy...

  • @kctyphoon I'm glad we can finally agree on something. Now if only the talks between Verizon and the unions could be resolved as quickly and decisively.

  • @SuperDouchebag.. hey do me a favor-- call me and wake me up at noon tomorrow will ya.. i wanna get up early tomorrow.

  • Comment removed

  • @SuperDouchebag - my huge union dues?? yea the 14 bucks a week is killin me guy.. def not worth the money.. verizon laid off thousands of people2 weeks before chirstmas after 9-11 claiming the attacks impacted there business.. so after 9 months of being unemployed, verizon not only lost in court, and had to hire everyone back, but they were also forced to pay ALL OF US for the entire time we were out of work.. i have no problem with the dues.. $170/yr to make $70,000/yr- im ok with it

  • @kctyphoon So why don't you just work for somebody else instead of pretending you own the company? Are you a glutton for punishment?

  • @SuperDouchebag - why would i work for somebody else when i have a job making a decent wage and all the advantages that come with having a union..?? so from all you morons say - your gonna tell me that if you were offered 2 jobs - 1 having to pay for your own benefits, and 1 where the employer made that part of your package , you would all choose to pay it yourself -- since thats what most other people have to do rite? you would never choose to make things easier for you and your family.

  • @kctyphoon Of course, that depends on the difference in pay between the two jobs offered. You didn't mention that. Nor would somebody who is trying to hide something.

  • @SuperDouchebag i know its still a little too early to say " i told ya so" , but imma say it anyway.. I TOLD YA SO.. guess verizon had some second guesses... gotta love it..

  • @kctyphoon Yeah. I'd say it was too early. Looks like you're going back to your old job under the terms of your old contract at least until Tuesday. Good luck. Try not to fuck up your company like GM.

  • @SuperDouchebag yea , guess the 10 -18 day wait to get people s phones fixed for the enitre eastern shore wasnt working out too good after only 2 weeks. and a couple deaths. good thing they brought in all those highly skilled and qualified people to handle our jobs that any moron can do.. they really showed us.. i hear they even said " come back - pretty please - cause we have no idea what we have gotten ourselves onto" thank god anyway - cant wait to get back there and give it my all..

  • haha, Verizon big wigs... can you hear us now??

  • This is called withholding your product because the buyer is not offering a price you feel is fair or even reasonable. Except instead of up and walking away, you are giving the other guy the opportunity to talk things out with you.

  • "They say cut back, we say fight back!"

  • @bigjohnson9687 They cutback alright! Since your f uckin ass wont be getting a check this week! haha

  • @beendankederik SCAB!!! Scab defined as an oozing, pus-filled sore that eats away at a living organism.

  • @libertylovingyankee Is this the intellectual argument you and your union thungs want to use? Bust the unions!

  • @libertylovingyankee God bless the SCABS! The ones who make America work!

  • ‎"If the workers of the world want to win, all they have to do is recognize their own solidarity. They have nothing to do but fold their arms and the world will stop. The workers are more powerful with their hands in their pockets than all the property of the capitalists..." - Joseph Ettor

  • Good for the Verizon workers!! I hope they manage to make Verizon back down and that they're the first of many MANY instances where the workers start to fight back against the tidal wave of corporate greed which is destroying this country!

  • @archangelrobriel

From what I understand, those who are on strike work on landline phones. I don't have a landline phone and I don't know many people who do. The right thing to do will cut expenditures in a division that is losing customers.

  • I once worked at a manufacturing plant and worked on the floor with union guys. I once asked a couple of guys why they all worked so damn slowly all the time. They grinned at each other, then at me, and one of them said "we get paid the same no matter how hard we work!"

  • The IWW is coming :)

  • If you feel Verizon is treating you unreasonable then you should quit. No one is forcing you to work for such a "Greedy" company. Your jobs are easily replaceable.

  • @jfawns76 A rational person does not quit a business they helped to build. A rational person demands a fair percentage of Verizon's(Very Greedy) profits. That person will not accept a penny less. The hard working members of CWA/IBEW will be doing their jobs long after the current crop of corporate ghouls have quit.

  • @libertylovingyankee

The hard working members of CWA/IBEW will be doing their jobs long after the current crop of corporate ghouls will be rotting in jail.

  • @jfawns76

NOT by skilled workers. If you like calling Bangladesh and being harassed by people who hate this country, then, GO RIGHT AHEAD.

  • @jfawns76 We love our customers and we love our jobs. We love America and want to fight to preserve the middle class way of life for all posterity. We are taking a stand here. Capitalism is a wonderful thing, but greed is not. I'm not sure how old you are, but if your parents or loved-ones were retired, would you want them to lose their medical benefits and pensions that they worked hard for all their lives? Verizon is an EXTREMELY PROFITABLE company. We're not asking for more, just what we have

  • Some, hopefully constructive, criticism: It's typically frowned upon to put spoken words in the video over a bed of music that includes lyrics. It makes the ear fight over what to listen to.

  • God Bless the CWA and IBEW. If the American people would stand up to Washington D.C. with the strength and unity of the Verizon workers, the citizens of this country could take back our America from the greed of the corporate giants.

Where can people make a contribution to assist the union employess during this strike. You need to setup an online strike fund for contributions. It may not be big contributors, but all America is at your side.

  • It's about time EVERYONE in this country stands up for themselves. The wealth that is created by the middle class MUST BE BROUGHT BACK to the middle class.

I AM ASHAMED TO WORK FOR A COMPANY THAT PAYS NO FEDERAL TAXES, THAT OUTSOURCES OUR JOBS TO 3RD WORLD CALL CENTERS STAFFED BY PEOPLE WHO ARE NOT TRAINED AND DO NOT CARE ABOUT AMERICA IN THE LEAST.

These criminal CEO's should be in jail & our spineless politicians that let them get away with destroying our country should be in jail as well.

  • I lost my job in a strike. Cost me my marriage and my lifestyle. If you are not willing to throw a rock at a SCAB's car or at a SCAB, vote yes and go back to school for another job. Or throw the rock. They had cameras and sound equipment on us at the picket line-so jail was a real possibility if I'd have thrown that rock. I would have voted 'yes' if I knew then what I know now. Ended up back at school anyways. It's better now but took 6 years.

  • MMMM. CWAUNION, get updated and look at not the bosses you are hurting but the company and the rest of the employees, that dont belong to a union. I have to make up for your hours, but you and i know who will be layed off next, not the precious union employees who get unlimited sickdays, dont pay for insurance prems and still have pensions. Thats right the other employees will. Have fun, as we all know wireline is not going to last many more years.

  • @jdpveb64 You need to belong to a union. You need union protection. Your lack of a pension and employer paid health care is the result of not being in a labor union. Your energy should be directed at organizing and mobilizing your workplace- not at tearing down other working people. If Verizon succeeds in breaking the CWA your working conditions will get even worse. The corporate rascals want to turn working people against one another. Don't let them do it. CWA ALL THE WAY!!!!!

  • @libertylovingyankee I would not join a union unless my life depended on it. Until you know the WHOLE story do not through that first stone, unless your willing to have it thrown back. I have seen what unions can do, both good and the bad. I watched when it helped with the coal mines for my uncle and destroy another company that went bankrupt right after. I had good benefits prior to the union and i have them now. i dont mind paying my premiums and i believe we all have to put forth an effort

  • @libertylovingyankee would not join a union unless my life depended on it. Until you know the WHOLE story do not through that first stone, unless your willing to have it thrown back. • @jdpveb64 Whether or not you would join a labor union is not relevant. Quite frankly, no one cares. If you're willing to let a corporate ghoul determine your wages and benefits based on whim and their own self-interest thats your private business. Good Luck. The hard working people of CWA/IBEW will stick with collective bargaining. Thanks.

  • @jdpveb64 You seem to imply that you work harder that other working people. Baloney!!!! I'd love to see you attempt to do the jobs many of the union workers do on a daily basis. You would be reduced to tears within an hour.

  • @jdpveb64 hey jerkoff how bout u stop complaining n grow some%%% n sign a union card. If more people on the wireless side actually stood up and voted for the union all of the employees would have these benefits. We are here fighting for our families and for the middle class because we actually care about our working conditions.

  • @jdpveb64 Maybe you should join a union. I don't know how you can watch your bosses make MORE profit from your work, but decide to pay you less. How the fuck is that fair?

  • Because of pensions, unlimited sick days and paying 1200 dollars a year for insurance is worth it? I will gladly make your pay and then pay 1200 dollars a year, if the union needs incentives, believe me there are plenty of folks waiting in line for jobs that they have. I pay more then you and am not one of the big bosses, but as far as i am concerned you will not cripple this company or me. But have fun, when they do the layoff you will be safe

  • if we strike...every union member should call the customer care numbers, just bog them down with questions, small talk etc. with our numbers we can effectively cut them off from the customers.

  • SOLIDARITY.

  • WHERE IS THIS COUNTRY'S PRESIDENT..... NOW IS WHEN WE NEED HIM TO ENTERVEEN BUT YET WE ARE STILL WAITING FOR HIM TO SAY ONE WORD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    F U VERIZON CORPORATE

  • BUST or Union..You need to strike to send a message, fight the corporate greed. make a stand for America values and dreams.. but we wont..
