Talk to cuba All the time i talked to Bermuda yesterday on a 40 watt radio in a mobile with a SIRIO Mobile antenna Bermuda is 5700 miles from San Diego The Other Night Talked to Mel born Australia 7400 Miles. Easy for us
Awesome fun, isn't it? I just worked a station in the Ural region of Russia from northern Wisconsin on a homebrew 160 meter dipole that tuned to 20 meters!
Not likely. When you hear nothing on 11 meters, I have 9 other bands to use. Many of those will have some kind of DX running on them. I have more flexibility in what I can do and what modes I can use.
VERY COOL, i see this is not the best HF radio in the world, and i am looking for my first HF... sooooo how much did that cost, were did you buy, ect.

Mrdigic4 the radio your talking about is more than likely a converted import radio.
