  • yellow :( our engines are classic white on red ;)

  • 0:40 Nice move white van :P

  • Notice the white car and white van... typical idiots that simply freeze when an emergency vehicle comes near them.... they could not back up some, or move aside and give more space for these massive trucks to get through.... ??!!

  • Good catch...right time at the right place.

  • two pumpers, two ladders, and a battalion truck. what the fuck was burning down, the whole town?

  • @Gleyen That's a typical response to a structure fire in a smaller town. If they only have 3-4 guys per truck, that's only 12-16 firefighters not counting the chief. My dept. sends 3 engines, 2 ladders, 1 heavy rescue, 1 medic and a chief on structure fires. If it's a working fire, they add an engine, ladder, medic and safety officer unless it's a small structure and the chief cancels them. (garage, trailer) When FF's get trapped you only have seconds to get them out, help has to be on scene.

  • @Gleyen to an automatic fire alarm and reported strucutre fires we always send 2 Engines, 1 Aerial, 1 Command and 1 Chief. In case of big emergencies that convoy is extended with one more Aerial, Tanker and/or Container truck (all of them from the main fire station), or we get supported by one or two companies from the Volunteer FD. But thatfor it doesn't has to burn the whole city ^^

  • Where's Sparky?

  • Cool trucks!

  • DAMM...IT i forgot to check my speaker volume O_o

  • Hell of a retirement party!

  • was that the retiring chief that went or another one?

  • "Last one to the Chili's gets the bill"

  • That's the kind of response that I want if I'm in an accident

  • cheif: hey whered everyone go???

  • Oh shit, did you remember to close the garage door?!

  • Wtf is this 9-11?

  • Sooo.... how was the party? Looks like they ran out of booze and had to make a quick run.

  • Hurry guys we need to go! the Fire departement stor closses in 5 min.!

  • Im surprise the little white car didnt back up a tad, thats what I would have done. oh well

  • Bone County Fire Dept. in GTA SAn

  • i dont get it....what am i looking for?>>????

  • we have both yellow and red firetrucks and even white ones HA

  • how many guys are on at that station

  • They wouldn't even let me have that many truck per station in sim city.... this is outrageous!

  • Comment removed

  • @SNS8R03 Read the discription...

  • For all those who say "EEEW GREEN FIRE TRUCKS", that is racist against green fire trucks and you should be ashamed. :D

  • MOVE OUT OF THE WAY... dumb cars...

  • ou yeah orgasmus hardcore!

  • the red trucks not only look better but the red serves another purpose. Red has a wavelength that is actually an irritant to the human eye. Green is a calming color. Red is better because it irritates the eye so much that you literally cannot help but look, its your body not you.

  • Must've been all-you-can-eat rib night at the Sizzler.

  • thats silly how many they sent to a POSSIBLE engine can do it maybe a Truck for a tall structure fire but rescue n all?

  • I liked the stake bed truck!!!

  • just like a tomato, not ripe enough:)

  • 8 % of the male population have colour blindness and red is a colour they cannot see, yellow is not affected by this. Also yellow is 1.24 x better at being seen by peripheral vision than red. These are just some of the reasons a study found,I prefer red but yellow is safer...

  • @goog1967 not really..they did a study after the study you mentioned was preformed..they found that it actually isnt such a good idea to hvae yellow trucks, yes they are brighter, but people do not recgonize them as fire trucks easily..i know, you would think the lights and sirens would give it away..but in fact people do not recognize yellow trucks as much as they do the classic red

  • @mortonfiredept that depends on the region: In countries where about 50% of fire trucks are red and the other 50% are yellow (like e.g. Norway), people do easily realize that it is a fire truck or another emergency vehicle (I actually don't care if it is a Tanker or an Ambulance cause I have to pull over anyway); in Germany all fire trucks are a kind of lightred to red with white or yellow markings, and it can get difficult to see that at nighttime

  • @EnjoyFirefighting With LED lights, you'll see those way before you see the color of the trucks. I can see the reflections of the LED lights off of road signs in broad daylight.

  • @ffjsb of course LEDs are very powerful, but even when they are on scene and switched the lights off they should be a kind if visible

  • @EnjoyFirefighting People still run into the backs of apparatus with the NFPA compliant reflective chevrons AND lights flashing. There's no color combination known to man that can overcome the power of stupid.

  • Many fire departments use the bright yellow-green trucks. Studies show it is more visible then red.

  • Who are the idiots in the white van and white car?

  • @RetSquid Prolly officers

  • @dorris15895578

    The van at :42?

  • @RetSquid Thats my guess but with ours the Officers sit in the road with there yelp on and center wacker light on to allow the engines to leave the station without worrying about civis getting in the way

  • @RetSquid Oh I see now I dont know the gen pop dosnt know what to do when Fire Apparatuses are comin at em

  • wut so excited ?

  • So much for retirement...

  • piss yellow. those are school busses not fire trucks

  • You guys, stop insulting the guy, the trucks are yellow because they are Airport Fire Trucks, not regular, so they are actually cooler and more special, you know. An, FYI, fire trucks can be red, orange and lime green. Duh.

  • Yellow trucks? really?

  • @DanAugust32 NO NO NO, Not Yellow. Lime Yellow!!! LOL

  • @kirky316 JESUS!! I thought we were the only ones with lime green trucks here in Miami, FL! xD

  • @kirky316 Red in UK

  • @modelrailwayCORP Well done.

  • @kirky316 --Safety Green

  • @OldJimsPlowing Slime Green.

  • @DanAugust32

    Fuck you and your "really?"

  • @backwardk haha I see we have another one who likes to play pretend, real trucks are red.

  • @DanAugust32 According the my post leader it's because some company conducted a test, and found that this ugly (piss) yellow color is more noticeable.

  • @DanAugust32 Hey you saw it right..... thats the purpose lol

  • FIRE EVERYTHING!!!!

    :D

  • Fire apparatus is RED!!! Lol

  • Need to leave those trucks in the sun a little while to ripen up! :D

  • Imagne if they showed up and it was a 14 year old with a paper cut.

  • وين ذى ....[أي ولاية

  • @MrMooooooood aشوف الدسكربشن

  • That is just sexy

  • someone had a big shit in the TV room.

  • That was ok but the wail on every truck is stupid in PA we roll With the Q Pinned the powercall and strutter the airhorn!!!

  • @TheHarris2209

Couldnt Agree more!!!! nothing like a Q and powercall, with airhorns singing in the background!!!! its music to my ears that combo

  • I used to be on a fire department. We have 6 stations now in the city (4 back then) and it wasn't uncommon for all 4 stations to be at central station for training.

  • Cool Vid!

  • im from maine and this is so cool

  • Ummm..no traffic signals to protect the intersection?

  • We have the same sirens in Waco, Texas

  • i live 45 min away in Saco. I'm a Jr. FF there

  • i love fire trucks

  • quick everyone denny's oped early and there 50% off

  • Is that one big fire department?

  • talk about rollin deep...

  • Not a fan of the Green fire trucks.

  • @VEDay45 me to

  • @VEDay45 you wouldnt care if your house was burning down ;0

  • @VEDay45 They serve their purpose

  • that white van could have backed up to give them room i mean nobody was behind him/her so its not like it was unsafe

  • way to ruin a retirement party lol. "DAMMIT SOMEONE NEEDS HELP"

  • if you think this is much well the fire dept down the road from me caught on fire a couple of years ago it had the fire depts from the counties next door come to its aid one dept i dont know many trucks they had but the other had six in its garage plus about three more in the back

  • YOU IN THE WHITE MINIVAN! DONT MOVE! DONT GET OUT OF THE WAY! KEEP BLOCKING THE INTERSECTION! dumbass

  • @27wJoe yellow fire trucks reflect light better at night so they are easier to see and the yellow paint reflects light better

  • @matchboxfireEMS true but its still a god awful color.

  • can someone tell me whats the point of yellow fire trucks

  • Brave People

  • @flykcrusader10xxx I realize you are not trying to be a dick but that rig coming out of the far Left bay sorry I screwed that up is stationed about 5 miles from this station, sorry for not knowin my Left from my Right tonight. All sub station rigs were here for the Chiefs retirement party. So when something like this happens and all the rigs are at Central as 73bubbie they dumped the house, had all rigs been at their stations Engine 4 would have cleared the other rigs

  • @flykcrusader10xxx This is what you call dumping the house. I've said it time and time again. It's better to have to much and not need it, than to not have enough and really need it.. Get on the scene and if it's not much. Then you start putting units in service before they get to far out of there first due.

  • This is what you call dumping the house. I've said it time and time again. It's better to have to much and not need it, than to not have enough and really need it.. Get on the scene and if it's not much. Then you start putting units in service before they get to far out of there first due.

  • @flykcrusader10xxx the rig coming out of the bay at the far right would normally be the one first in on this call as the call was right around the corner from their station....

  • Code3 to In-N-Out...

  • I like how that white car made no effort to get out of their way

  • @ctownsoul

I was thinking the samething. Had plenty of room to back out of the way.

  • no such thing in the fire service as to much of a roll out.. I would rather it be on the road and not need it then need it and it not be enroute

  • @irishfireguy I agree...better safe than sorry.

  • The McRib is back.

  • Autobots ignite

  • That seems like a great place to live right across the street from.....

  • @EnjoyFirefighting You have to be kidding 27 vechicles????????

  • If they were responding to your house or business would you want the minimum response?

  • If they were responding to youp house or business would you want the minimum response?

  • Answer me this. If only two Rigs are stationed there why a five bay garage

  • @roadwolf2 Its actually 6 bays, from left to right, bay 1 fire inspector, bay 2 squad, bay 3 ladder, bay 4 engine, bay 5 spare engine, and bay 6 capt. and chief...

  • @kirky316 Do they really have a "spare" engine for the off chance that the other breaks? And if so don't they need a spare ladder on the same principle?

  • @TopTap09 Yes we do have a spare engine it's a 1987 E-One Hurricane, as for the ladder if it should be out of service the Quint which is Engine 3 will take over Ladder duties if both of those rigs are out of service then the Tower in the next city over becomes first due to our city for calls..

  • @kirky316 that cool

  • Two ladders out of the same station? What's the point?!

  • @gymdog45 manpower perhaps?

  • Geesh all these trucks responding must wipe out the budget just on gas.

  • Empty the house baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @liltruck050783 if we wanted to empty the house there would be 27 vehicles responding (just from one station!)

  • is this a standard turnout for a structure fire ??? its alot of engine's !

  • weird how they all run the same siren. also not very safe

  • 2 engines ok but 2 ladder trucks?

  • @BioHazardViper78 so? we got 3 aerials at one station. One going out for normal calls, one for suppert at bigger fires and one spare aerial

  • Holy shit what caught fire an oil refinery?

  • @ cowboy09...damn dude must be your dept or something.....i just made a comment. no need to be all bent outta shape

  • @ cowboy09...damn dude must be your dept or something.....i just made a comment. no need to be all bent outta shape

  • @Clada1017 You're right, to someone who does not know better, it seems like a waste. It's not. Manpower is the key to fighting a fire. As far as a 2nd call, most run cards will include "move-ups". Coverage from a mutual aid company on stand-by in their station. It's still pretty cool to watch a barn empty.

  • that very azaming!!!!!

  • Very cool!!! They can always go back...more is more and better to be safe the sorry!!

  • any idea if this station is a volley station?

  • my cousins live in lewiston, haha, i live in maine too, about 4 hours away from lewiston

  • I miss the yellow trucks.

and I wonder how fidgety the chief got when this call went out,

  • better to be safe than sorry. Im in a large dept and we had an automatic alarm for a house fire, surprise on us. it's a job!

  • They heard about mcdonalds dollar menu..

  • @bonedeath11 You are a fucking scumbag for this comment. Us volunteers put our lifes on the line every time those tones go out and you make a joke about food?! you are a fucking disgrace to man kind. Please do everyone a favor and jump off a bridge and die. :D

  • @i4sale4 Actually, these aren't volunteers.

  • @bonedeath11 LMAO thats funny LMAO im dying right now

  • @bonedeath11 LMAO thats funny LMAO im dying right now

  • Yellow fire trucks are UGLY!!!

  • The white minivan and white car at the intersection could have given a bit more room for the trucks to get by.

Idiots always gets me... when a siren and lights comes by, they just freeze and don't know what to do, it is easy: pull over, give way and leave more space... just get out of the way.

  • i have a question for the firefighters...im trying to become a firefighter and was wondering if i wear glasses can i still become one? thanks

  • @adamxaiver yes, I do - they don't fit inside the mask, though - you either go without them inside or get a pair designed to clip into the mask - our chief buys us those, sometimes I use it, sometimes I don't

(in humidity or cold they can fog up before the mask does)

  • @firewolfranger thank i appriciate the advide

  • that's one BIG ass station.

  • a yellow fire truck ?? :$

  • @manoray123456789 Lewiston always had yellow trucks. well, not always. they used to have red ones up until 1998. thats when they changed them to yellow. been that way since.

  • @AdmiralKakarot Actually the rigs have been this color since the early 70's when we recieved some new rigs from Ward LaFrance in this color scheme, and was told they provided the paint to do the rest of the fleet. Supposedly this color is better visible then the traditional Red.

  • @AdmiralKakarot oh yea thats right i remember now. was thinking of a different station. was thinking about the one in Auburn. but yea the yellow ones are more eye catching than the traditional red. gotta few out here. some of our local stations have white trucks while my station has the traditional red

  • The one truck that is more awesome than any military vehicle.

  • is this lewistown pa??????????????????

  • @15rricci

    Nah, it's Lewistown, ME. ( :

  • The public Bit_h to much. When you get in trouble you want them there fast and being ever thing they got to help you, but when someone else is in trouble they set back and complain about there response to call.

  • you know this happened in my old niehborhood when a kid tried to cook french fries and ended up setting the stove on fire the station about 9 blocks away came with everything and some extras were there to i think from another station

  • a little overkill much on the fire i think

  • most of the time they will just send 1 pumper and a ladder truck to the scene but since its a structure fire they will need the whole team

  • way too much to roll out !!! that is alot to roll on one call with out confirmation from the 1st unit on scene....im just saying

  • @Clada1017 The first rig that pulled out of this station was the first unit on scene......

  • @kirky316 did u kno that 100 percent of the time the first truck to leave is the first one on scene?

There's some Pre-K learnin for you right there :D

  • @christian18075 not really....first truck the leave might get stuck somewhere, and the other trucks behind might get the chance the go around where the truck is stuck

  • @ownedya22 yeah good point. ur sayin as if the first truck comes up to another incident right?

  • @Clada1017 think of it this way... if it was your house that was on fire would you rather have one lonely first responder to show up or everything in the barn to roll..... just saying..

  • @mrfirewolf ...yeah but while ur rolling out the whole damn fire house for BS and then there is another incident now u are wasting time and what not.....by all means roll and engine and a tower and then call for additional if necessary ...plus they let barns roll anyways...thats usually a surround and drowned anyways

  • @Clada1017 well would you rather wait for units to respond if it is a structure or would it be nice just to have everything there at once? im gonna with not waiting

  • @Clada1017 Never mind the fact of having units COMING IN already, to back up the first rig. If you dont got another crew on scene besides the first, you cant go in. Simple as that. Why not have the manpower NOW instead of LATER. any firefighter would know this.

  • @TheRescue43 . yeah man i KNOW THIS...i AM A FIREFIGHTER!...i am just saying ...thats a lot to roll out. I am sure where they are at that is there SOP/SOG. o

  • @Clada1017 Never mind the fact of having units COMING IN already, to back up the first rig. If you dont got another crew on scene besides the first, you cant go in. Simple as that. Why not have the manpower NOW instead of LATER. any firefighter would know this.

  • @Clada1017 well shit, u can forget about mutual aid, i think they got it. lol :)

  • @Clada1017 I'm on a Fire Dept, and our procedure is that we roll everything until we get a confirmation that we don't need to roll anything else. It's better to be safe and have what you need right away rather than need something and have to wait for it to get there.

  • @dstnnlsn

Here standard protocol for a fire is 4 engines, Battalion Chief, and a truck

  • @Clada1017

because in Maine other departments could be anywhere from 20 to 30 minutes away which is valuable time during a structure fire. so in short term most departments roll everything so they have the resources on scene instead of coming.

  • @Clada1017 how is there such thing as "too much roll out"? It's ALWAYS better to send back trucks than to wait for them when the shit hits the fan....just sayin.

  • @Clada1017 wouldnt you think its better to have everything rolling then if its nothing you can return to the station but what if it is something u have enough man power and equipment on scene at the same time insted of waiting idk id rather have alot roll then not enough

  • @Clada1017 Too much to roll out without confirmation? Better safe than sorry... you respond as you're dispatched, not as you feel like. Our standard house fire (non-high-rise) initial dispatch (not including the 15 Chiefs that decide to head out) is 5 engines, 2 trucks, 1 rescue squad, and 1 EMS unit. On a 1st due box alarm, it's pretty normal for the whole house to clear.

  • @jrskate207 My county is the same way. Its always better to have them coming then to have to wait for them to get dispatched and respond when you realize you need em.

  • @Clada1017 well where i come from...even if we get a report of a possible structure..confirmed or uncomfirmed...we dont take it lightly....im just saying!

  • @Clada1017 ...what the hell are you talking about?? are you a real fire fighter?? if so then you dont reliaze any amount of man power is never to much. doesnt matter what the call is. and besides the fact if it is as type alarm then truck placement, seat assigments and everything can take place as training!

  • @chris07882 " are you a real fire fighter?? if so then you dont reliaze any amount of man power is never to much. doesnt matter what the call is"

I'm not a firefighter, which is good because apparently firefighters can't form proper sentences.

I would also point out that your philosophy is great, as long as you completely ignore the economic costs involved. Once you take costs into consideration , "no amount is too much" sounds absurd.

  • @adamruck The cost of what, an engine deployment vs. the cost of a house, or of a life?
