At the end of WW-2, John Keynes was begging with the Fed Reserve for a small loan to keep Britain afloat. As such, it was impossible for Britain to flex its muscles and keep the Indian Empire. Keynes was on his knees at the US Federal Reserve, begging for a loan to keep Britain afloat. The Fed gave Keynes a mere 1/12th of the loan they needed. I read that Gandhi was not the sole reason for India achieving independence since other factors played a role such as Netaji and MN Roy. It sucks people would rather remember Gandhi than to accept the fact independence is not achieved by only peaceful actions.
