Is it streaming Full HD (1080p) video signal? Can I play a 1080p movie on my notebook and watch it on LCD TV 1080p through this device? Is it the same quality of the signal as I'm using an HDMI cable?
Hi Joe. What is the best pc to tv wireless? The Warpia or NetGear Universal Push2TV HD Wireless PC to TV Adapter. I want to see movies (but high resolution) om my HDTV, but I also want that it works with a projector (beamer) to give presentations.
Witch one do you recommend? Let me know also if you have other posibilities or brands.
Hi Joe, was wondering if you have tried from another room? I believe product spec mentions you must have line of site. I was hoping to keep my box and TV in separate rooms that are close to each other.
PCmyTV.co.uk lets you know which cable you actually need to connect PC to TV. You don't necessarily need a HDMI cable, so use this site to search by Make and Model to find out, or connect wirelessly.
@kboy2k I might recommend both, actually. It depends on your needs, though. If you just want to get streaming online media on your TV, Roku seems like a good bet (I don't have one, though). If you want to get your computer applications and presentations (or just your email) onto your TV, this is a great way to do it.
@joetechdotcom ..hi, i have on board graphics in my dell 3100c, could i connect to a big monitor to surf the web and watch YouTube with this device or do i have to buy a new pc with a stronger graphics card?
@nebly400 I didn't experience lag time while using it, but I did have problems with video streaming being choppy, so there is a throughput issue, it seems
Hello, great review. I'm planning to get a hdtv on my 2nd floor and the computer will be on the 1st floor. I was wondering if I'll be able to receive a good connection and will there be any drop to fps and input delay?
So you're telling me, I can plug the USB into my laptop, and plug the other thingy HDMI into my projector, and get video AND sound through the air? That's INSANE!
I wonder if I could use the audio out to my stereo and the HDMI to my TV simultaneously? That way I could choose to listen to mp3's through my stereo or watch & listen to youtube videos on my TV.
How can I boost the signal of the dongle? Cause my laptop is on 2nd floor and yet I can't get a signal unlike my wireless router it can get signal anywhere in the house.
@komododrago I'd try one of the methods people use to boost their WiFi signal. Search on the web or here on YouTube for "boost Wifi" and you'll find several solutions, I'm sure.
@brikumae Actually, I do both. I have a computer behind the TV that I use for media and that one is hooked right into the TV. Then I have the Warpia for when I want my laptop display on the big screen.
Thanks for the review. I am using a competitive product that is built and looks the same way as this and workds very well from ALTONA called AT-HDAir + Audio. Thanks for the unplugging tip though. I shut many things down but didn't notice this getting warm.. good point..
@maysle1 I'm not sure what you mean. It's a bit difficult to decipher. =) In any case, I think I'll keep the goatee, although I appreciate the comment.
Great review man...you made a good example of what a video review should be like from home-users. The only thing missing is...does it work on Mac alone....even though Macs can do PC but, not everyone does that.
Who cares if it gets a bit warm! what you want to care about is when your hand hits that usb thing you got sticking up, should be pointing the other way if you were smart.
question? is the frames per second rating adequate to show videos smoothly. reason is i recently bought the liteshow II adapter for same purpose however its frames per second rating is about 15 to 20 i think which is quite poor.

is it not 1080p though...warpia streamhd is the one!!!!!

@ZotiSOKOL Agreed. 1080p is always better than 720, as long as your TV supports it.

@BoY860 It will show anything on the screen. I haven't tried with games, though, and they may not show depending on how they handle video.
