  • I haven't heard this song in over 20 years yet I remember the lyrics. I don't know if that makes me amazing or just plain pathetic! =D

  • GREAT SONG !!!

  • awsome windmilling by guitarist.

  • This song was written while the lead singer was standing outside of an Arby's.

  • @clancy76 Really? how did you know that?

  • Possibly THE best Glam Metal song ever recorded. This song kicks your ass, your speakers' ass, the neighbors' asses...just get the fuck out of this song's way!

  • @Caleb2296 Well, we'll just agree to disagree. Vices to me is a classic while Ready to Strike is only ok. I will say this though, Ready to Strike shits all over King Kobra's follow-up, which is horrible. At least Ready to Strike was somewhat heavy.

  • @Caleb2296 How can anybody think that? Oh, I don't know. Maybe because Kick Axe actually wrote it and George Criston is an amazing singer. Somebody needs to do their homework. Vices is one of the great metal records of the '80s.

  • I've seen the video to this song on VH1 Classic's "Metal Mania" back in around 2003-ish and it was a great song, this song should have been better known.

  • great song great album im young again

  • cant believe this singer is now a 'woman'!!! hahaha

  • king kobra should be huge-fucking awesome band

  • 2:44 ben stiller, globo gym style

    *uses pizza as masturbatory aid

  • @ThatWasPrettyFunny - True, in fact I help I can't help but think Ben Stillers team 'Purple Cobras' was parody of King Kobra all the way form King Kobra purple highlights in their hair to the ridiculous hair.

  • Was this song actually written by Kick Axe?

Bassist went on to play in WASP & 1 guitarist went on to play in Bulletboys...

  • @kelligula Yes, remember the Transformers.

  • Was this song actually written by Kick Axe?

  • McDonalds should use this song in their commercials!!

  • We cant hold out forever Kup... But we can give them one humungous repair bill!

  • What a bunch of poser fags. A very sad time for American music.GAY GAY GAY GAY, and if that offends you then be offended.

  • @nukklsxx Go listen to Justin Beaver.

  • @nukklsxx hey 90's music and grunge and today's crap is a sad time for america and the world...gays always been there...so you don't get offended

  • that was so steamy

  • Ready to Strike. One of THE greatest records of the 80's!

  • Awesome Fucking Song , love mark free

  • @rockladyful totally agree baddass song, It's been awhile since I've checked out some King Kobra, didn't know that Mark Free became a woman Crazy! still kicks ass

  • STILL AWESOME.

  • cant wait to hear the new stuff with shortino singin

  • When are these guys going to team up with Ludacris to make a rap metal song?

  • Mark/Marcie Free one of the best singers in hard rock and metal!!!

  • @TinManSixtySix ya know he's a she now, fucker got a sex change, doesnt sing like this anymore.

  • Comment removed

  • Kick AXE does a better version of this song but this still is awesome stuff!!!

  • I had completely forgotten about this album, thanks for posting

  • 80's Heavy Metal in general just didn't get better than this song! Such a shame it isn't that widely known!

  • These guys are definatly from the early 80's I haven't heard them since back then. Isn't the lead singer Mark Free. If so he's a woman now..

  • Me Grimlock no bozo! Me king!

  • TRANSFORMERS

  • If you like this CD you should also try Blue Murder. Carmine Appice was in that band too. pretty kick a**!

  • @favreinpurple Your right and I agree. I still listen to that record.

  • its funny cause now the lead singer is a girl lol he had a sex change ouch

  • @thecrippler1100 LIAR!!

  • @mightywibble bullshit had the sex change in 1993 and is now named marcie free look it up numbnuts

  • @mightywibble yeah the dude had a sex change in 1993 and named himself marcie free dude. it really happened horrible isnt it

  • Hungaaaa by King Kobraaaa

  • Holy shit I didn't know Carmine played for them.

  • @NYBloodyArrow7400 Carmine is the bomb man! Even though I'm a guitarist, I have respect for real drums.

  • kick axe does this song easily 100x better than king kobra

  • im just glad that this was still out on CD.

  • ah the 1980s... hair bands, metal bands, rock n roll and kids toys that did have warning labels!

  • Didn't have warning labels

  • reminds me of ditchin school, sittin at home smokin and eatin twinkies

  • Great voice!! but I still dont understand what carmine appice' s doing here....

  • @Scandolo , he helped form king kobra after he left ozzy. hats why he's there.

  • I thought this was the original! I like this version better than the one from the Transformers SDTRK. I mean, I love that one, too. I just love this a whole lot more.

  • Great song and this band has so many talented musicians in it that have been in or will go on to be in other bands(Bulletboys-WASP- etc). Another one of those bands that too many people don't know anything about. Love the dual guitars...sound very much like Andy LaRocque's guitar tone from King Diamond's masterpiece Abigail.

  • drum man Carmine Appice play in ozzy video, Bark at the moon, and the bass man play with Wasp

  • Those guitars are so cool especially the Dean.

  • this song ios cool. reminds me of 12th grade. lol. flashback big time.

  • 1985 rock.....the Kobra rocks loud and proud......great cd....Shadow Rider is another good song....

  • Too similar to the original to really warrant a cover.

Still bloody good though, but the original is better.

  • is this not the original?:S

  • IS ROCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK

  • Great!

  • Awesome Fucking Song !!!

  • So who did this song first? Spectre General? I remember it was done in the old Transformers Cartoon movie by them.

  • the song was written by Kick Axe but King Kobra released it first in 1985 on the Ready to Strike Album.

Kick Axe release it the next year in 1986 for The Transformers: The Movie soundtrack. They used the name Spectre General on that album cause of legal problems

  • @dominp

It wasn't because of legal problems. Hasbro deemed the band's name of Kick Axe to be too violent for the kid's cartoon, so they changed their name to Spectre General

  • @unicron129 Apparently saying "Oh shit!" is fine but the name that was only written in the credits wasn't okay. I will never understand Hasbro. :?

  • Hunger rocks! There are a bunch of killer tunes on the c.d.. The songs " Attention" and "Shadow Rider" rock as well!

  • God this song is great. Are the other songs on this album as strong?

  • lol Mark Free is now Marcie Free...

  • That's why they are popular right now...most of the world is talentless and soft...but they will burn out sooner or later.

  • fuck I have seen some home made videos with Mark Free, what a great singer and rockstar and he fucking looks like an old lady working in a fucking bank now, what a waste of life oh God

  • maybe the best track from thiS BAND!

    KICK AAS SOLO AND REFRAIN!

    thanks for video

  • Hungry for estrogen.

  • haha right on!

  • Mark free is a woman todeay. He made the ultimate life altering decision to undergo sex change surgery

  • this not a spectre general song? who done the original??

  • Spectre General is a name that was used for this song in the movie Transformers because of US copyright. King Kobra is the real band.

  • i wikipedia'd it spectre general is a diff band who covered this, but spectre general are really called kick axe

  • ya ur right, i was told by someone else

  • thats on transformers soundtrack old movie

  • arn,t they handsome. And the drummer is the man for any women ,s dream. thank you for the treat.

  • Thats funny,

I got the same comp cassette for about a buck or 2 (w/a couple other '$1 a tape" hair metal comps) from a small town gas station on a family vacation to WV about 20 yrs ago..listened to it about 1000 times over the yrs cuz of this song ,it finally wore out and I dont know what happened to it.

Just saw the video for this song (best one on the comp) about 3 yrs ago on VH1..TG for youtube now!

  • I had a Metal compilation with White Sister, ICON (or was it "IKON) and these guys on it! In fact, this track was on the compilation! Got it for a Buck! (ah, the days of the "Cut-Out Bin"!)

  • That cassette kicked serious ass.. I loved White Sister and Icon was truly the most underrated ban in the 80's.. Their Night of the Crime album was one of the best ever..

  • Night of the Crime is, indeed, a fantastic album.

  • I loved it, and Stephen Clifford was a god on the mic.. The song rock My Radio should be a rock classic...

  • the most underrate band of the 80's

  • I thought I was the only one who knew this band.. Love their songz!

  • No he is not in my band, I don't have a band. What I meant was he is a legendary drummer. Sorry for the confusion.

  • Yes I know that is Carmine on the drums and he can really play them can,t he .He is our legendary drummer and along with Dino Danelli of the Young Rascals and many other bands .

  • Damn, you have Carmine Appice in your band? What band is that? I'd like to hear. I'm crazy for his work with Rod Stewart and as a a drummer myself, he is one of the few that I look up to, along with peter criss, tommy lee, and frankie banali

  • I really like this video , because my friend is playing the drums and they sound great. thank you for the post.i really mean it.

  • Carmen is playing the drums?

  • I saw these guys with Autograph. Allot of names came out of this band. LMAO about "GUSTAFEANO's" comment...Haahaaa!! He, I mean she does have pipes though...no pun intended.. Isn't that Johnny Rod and the guitarist from Bullet Boys??

  • Yes Johnny Rod was the bass player. One of the Guitarists was Mick Sweda who went on to form Bulletboys with Marq Torien who replaced Mark Free after the Thrill of a Lifetime album. The other guitarist is David Michael Phillips who went onto Lizzy Borden. Drummer was Carmine Appice, former drummer of Spooky Tooth and Cactus and brother of Vinny Appice the drummer for Dio. Mark went on to Signal, Unruly Child and a solo career before becoming Marcie in 1995.

  • Btw, Johnny Rodd is now an EMT in San Diego; Mark 'Marcie' Free works for a bank in the Midwest, DM Phillips, aka David Henzerling, now plays in Big Cock w/ Robert Mason (Lynch Mob, Cry of Love), Mick Sweda writes kids music with the Candy Bar Band. And Carmine is still Carmine.

  • good videos

  • This was originally recorded by Spectre General and appeared on the animated Transformers movie soundtrack (it's the track that plays when Hotrod and Kup are fed to the Sharkticons on Quintessa).

  • Actually this song was written and recorded by King Kobra in late 1984-early 1985. It was recorded by Spectre General (Also known as Kick Axe) in late 1985-early 1986 and appeared on the Transformers soundtrack which was released in 1986.

  • Thanks for that - I always thought it was the other way around...Though I do prefer the vocals on the Kick Axe version.

  • No way, man! This guy has a way better voice than the Kick Axe guy.

  • This version is better

  • Actually it was originally written by the Kick Axe guys. Then recorded by King Kobra. And then "covered" by Kick Axe (as Spectre General) for the Transformers soundtrack. Confusing, eh? :)

  • Why don't you tell her that on her channel, "Marcie Free"

  • she´s without doubt one of the greatest voices in rock.

  • Haha! Just discovered this! wicked!

  • i like this video

  • the good metal of the 80´s

  • omg this owns!

  • One of my fav songs ever! \m/

  • Sounded so much better than they looked ,.. LoL !!!

KK were awesome,.. Bass player was Jonny Rodd.

I remeber pulling that Kobra tance on the dancefloor in the 80's to this song and thinking I was the dog Bollox !!

  • That was Abdullah The Butcher's theme song in Capitol Sports Promotions/World Wrestling Council Puerto Rico!!!

  • Haven't seen this video since it first aired on MTV.

    Yeah ! Luv YouTube !

  • One of the guitarists went on to form Bulletboys...this and at least one other of the songs on RTS was written by Kick Axe

  • very nice song :X

  • FUCK YOU!

  • The Bass Player went on to play with Wasp, in 86.

  • 素晴らしい!いいモノを見せていただきました

  • I do prefer the Kick Axe (Spectre General) version, which is the actual Transformers: The Movie version.

  • transformers movie represent (even though it was covered by kick axe...who are canadian)

  • I thought I was the only one in the WORLD who knew about King Kobra! Thanks to much for this video!!

  • This band went on to become Bullet Boys with a different singer and drummer. The singer did in fact go on to have a sex change. The drummer.... the famous Carmine Appice.... went on to form Blue Murder with John Sykes (Whitesnake)and Tony Franklin. (Power Station)

  • this is in the Transsformers movie

  • I can't believe that idiot Mark Free got a sex change and changed his name to Marci Free. What a great voice though.

  • Hey, I'm with you, he has so sexy pill to his voice.

  • is that mr satan on the drums?

  • hahahaha is true

  • I remember I use to love this album.Thank you.

  • singer had a sex change

  • anyone got the lyrics?

  • Damn it i have an old videotape from the 80's (only this type of music) and i saw this video, i've searched it for 10 years, and man, it was all worth the wait... :D

  • 気がつきませんでした。ありがとうざいます。

  • This was a great song and album

  • I agree.

  • great voice...cheesy as fuck

  • How recent is this video? This is from the animated Transformers movie of the 80's.

  • Aactually this is the original version of this song, The one from Transformers the movie is a cover by Spectre General.

  • And Spectre General is actually called Kick Axe.
