  • Did kids actually ever use this as intended, or was I the only one who just swung it around like a mace and tried to brain people with it?

  • holy god, this commercial. mind explosion.

  • They really should bring this back on the market. Kids back then really loved this and they weren't fat and lazy like today's kids who now have ps3 , Xbox and wii although those consoles are really trying hard to get kids in shape with the motion activated games.

  • @bullsfan0323 actually i did see this at a store, but with a different name i forgot the name tho, but i do with they would bring it back, it as alot of fun, even thought it sucked when it would break lol

  • @PiscespiritX Yeah now there is an app for that. Skip it for your iPhone lol.

  • lol gmod theater.

  • this song came into my head randomly... so I typed "but the very best thing of all" into Google and it immediately filled in "there's a counter on this ball" at the end. brought a big smile to my face.

  • 1 big reason 90's kids weren't fat

  • I can thank this toy for SO MANY ankle bruises.

  • brony synchtube

  • Good times right there, my child hood. I remember this commercial too.

  • I had one! But it didn't look like that, and mine didn't have a counter D:

  • I remember destroying my room with this toy.

  • i had one.

  • I still have my Skip It

  • The counter my Skip It never worked when I was a kid. I'm left handed so I would use it on my left foot, which meant that the counter was going backwards. It drove me nuts!

  • @o0obEaKeRo0o You use it on your right foot...end of story...problem caused by yourself...lol

  • I never had this toy, but some of the girls would always bring them to class parties. And the commercials played on TV nonstop back then. XD

  • syncetube.wmv

  • Hey I remember this from back when I used to go to.. "outside"

    *opens blinds*

    *hiss*

  • tiger toys sucks, now that i remember all this crap.

  • I remember.

  • i wanted this toy so badly but my parents said no. :(

  • commercials back then somewhat made more sense

  • Wow they did the impossible. it's new AND improved

  • Dang it!!!

I had two or three skip-its as a kid. I was really, really good at them. But I would always accidentally move too close to a wall and the ball would come flying off because of the impact.

  • @BizzarreProductions lol same here or sometime it would fly off my ankle or almost whack someone :-P

  • Lol New and improved.

What happened with the previous versions?

  • omg i remember this!!

  • lol my record is 41

  • Lmaooooo omg the memories!! I had one and broke alot of things in my parents apartment lol

  • best invention ever made, along with mr. bucket.

  • i wish i still had mine! :(

  • I remember watching nickelodeon as a kid and they played the hell out of this commercial.

  • SKIP IT!!! i used to have one, i am totes looking for it & playing with it next time i'm home. psh no i'm not 20 years old...i'm five....

  • O_O.....I wanted one of these as a kid soooooo bad

  • OMG this was all I did as a kid! XD

  • I got to 999, I was such a beast at this thing.

  • i never had this because i knew i would suck at it, but whenever my shoelaces came untied i would jump over the laces and go "skip it, skip it!"

  • @Dustyandangel123 they friggen changed the plastic on the rope part of it, and the shape of the ball

  • I recently pulled this out of my parents storage unit and tried it out...I fell flat on my face...to be fair, I was always a clumsy kid and would always trip on it or injure myself or others with it..

    Good times....*sigh*

  • wish they made one for adults XD loved that thing and it was the only thing save for jump rope that actually got me up and wanting to participate.

  • I wish there was a counter on my balls. I could keep track how many orgasms i had.

  • @BlaccTrash LMFAO!! You sicko! LMFAO!!

  • i loved this toy

  • I had one of these things. It would rub my ankle raw when I played with it, but hey, it was fun!

  • I was THE Skip-it master of my neighborhood.

  • I tore that shit up back in the day.

  • i wish i still had my skip it :(

mine was yellow and then...damn cuzin broke it

  • Is that commercial from 1995?

  • @KodyBoy555 Nah prob around 88', 89', or 90' lol! But they showed this same commercial until around 98' or 99' though.... Shit looked really dated by that time lol! I had one of these back in 93' or 94' mad fun!!!

  • You know the very best thing of all? THERE'S A COUNTER ON THIS BALL!!

  • Lol I remember this thing. I had a pink one and I LOVED it. I remember back in the 90s I had this babysitter and I went over to her house every week and she had two daughters who also had skip its, so we'd all play together in the driveway trying to beat each others scores. I remember hers was purple and her sisters was yellow. xD I miss this shit! But, it did hurt like fuck when the ball hit you...

  • Why did I still know the lyrics haha.

  • I remember that!

  • WHO IS THE SINGER

  • Mine broke. I wish i could get another one like it.

  • atleast kept u active and in shape..

  • I stole a pink one from my old neighbor. (she shouldn't have left it outside)

  • This is the short version of the commercial.:)

  • sigh.. :) child hood nostalgia.. i miss being a kid.. i had one of these.. :D

  • I used to have one of these when I lived in Alaska

  • Smosh used one of those in their video

  • i had the pink one:D i still have this in my garage somewhere too bad i could never do it

  • I had the blue one. Wish I still had it.

  • I remember this ad, and I remember that my foot was to big to fit in the hole for your foot and I was only 6... those holes were tiny and my foot was long.

  • 3 people couldn't figure out how the toy works

  • I remember watching this commercial when I was 8. I'm 24 now but this really takes me back...

  • mine always broke.

  • We still have them in my Gym O.O

  • Does Tiger toys still exist?

  • Am I the only one here because of Vash12349?

  • @4Kiseki4 who's that

  • @geektar03 A very awesome youtuber.

  • This kept kids skinny and outside playing

  • i used to LOVE my skip-it. the ONLY reason i don't have one today is because it broke... and i had two of them...both of them broke.

if i could find somewhere to buy one, i would. i used to love that thing.... i wonder if my foot will fit through that hole now though. lol.

  • =[ as I think back I always had a hard time starting these

  • Just read an article on Yahoo where this is a toy fad that would embarrass us now. Looks like it would be a good workout though!

  • @GoHabsGo0708 That's to remind you not to get hit.

  • my wife is the girl in the turquios and black. We always get a kick out of watching this. Too funny

  • @jaybross I hope she wasn't your wife back then haha

  • @jaybross wow seriously!!! lol :)

  • Do they still sell this toy? I'd like to buy one....for my baby sister.

  • "you know, for kids"

  • what's funny is this is the shorter version of the commercial and i got just as annoyed as i did when i was a kid and this version would come on, lol. i'm like, man where's the rest of it??? i loved this commercial and song :)

  • Being a kid in the 90s was amazing (: !

  • dude i loved this toy and its so sad that kids now dont even know how to jump rope

  • oh my god i loooooooovvvvvvvvvvvvvveeeeedddd my skip it. it was my fav. toy in the world.

  • BopIt is for fags.

  • "and the very best thing of all theres a.....counter on the ball!" :] who else remembers that pause in the commercial?

  • @MorgensternPip LMAO! OMG I won't sing the song without the pause, hahaha.

  • I like the part where they skip it.

  • I had this toy!!! xD I had a pink one! My friends and I would have so much time playing with them. And yeah, I agree with everyone else about kids these days. When I was a kid, I LOVED playing outside. Even if I had to play by myself, I always did. I was rarely inside. I played outside until it was dark. I even remember my friends and I playing outside in the pouring rain. We NEVER wanted to go inside <3

  • now everyone's wondering why our kids are so fat now. Maybe instead of marketing video games they should market this again.

  • @MrPiPPo

well it's not like personal video games are anything new... the same time toys like Skip-it were popular, we also had Nintendo, Sega, and Playstation.

  • You know, thinking back, I really don't get how the very best thing of all was that there was a counter on that ball...

  • ohman, i remember the girl next door having it

we'd like play it until it was dark outside

and we'd have contests to see who could skip it the most

    best days everrrr

  • I used to love playing with that. I wonder what happened to mine.

  • oh my god i remeber this ad!

  • I used to suck at this thing so bad. Constantly falling on my face and bashing peoples ankles with the ball. Then I mastered it and styled on everyone!

  • I used to have a skip it.......I MISS MY SKIP IT!!!

  • back then everybody play outside....now we just siting on are ass playing video game.

  • I would play with my pink skip it for hours in the street.

  • this kept kids fit

  • omg I remember that! I loved it...I want one now. Playing with skip-it was awesome! *goes to ebay*

  • The only time I ever saw a Skip-it used was during a parade. A girl was "skip-it-ing" next to the float to she was part of.

  • Beyond!

  • I had a Skip It. I remember this commercial constantly coming on Nickelodeon back in the day. That toy was awesome.

  • I never realize how retarded this was until now.

  • this is the short version of the commercial but I believe this is the earliest commercial I can remember as a child...man I miss these cheesy commercials :(

  • i miss childhood :(

  • I wore these things out once a week, I swear!

  • Holy S#8t!!! There is a counter on this ball!!

  • holy... hell, I think I had this as well. but it had a soft string and a fuzz-plastic ball at the end. man, it was hazardous and caused many baby teeth to come out early

  • I loved my Skip it.

  • I miss the '90s toy commercial jingles. Seriously.

  • I had a yellow one. :D

  • had an orange one lol... but one day it flew off my foot and into this pond =(

  • @NSaNePrEp11 LOL!

  • @NSaNePrEp11 Sorry, I know I shouldn't laugh. But it's just the way you put it.

  • @Jumpybeaver haha

  • I use to skip the shit out of my "Skip It" till one day I was skipping it and my cat Chongo came towards me and I hit him in the face and knocked out both of his eyes. Unfortunately I had a rich grandmother who paid for my cat's glass eyes. The only thing now is that my cat is always looking like "thanks for hitting me in the head and knocking out my eyes.". The End

  • Iused to play with these all the time when I was little :D

  • There was a 30-second commercial, right?

"But the very best thing of all...

There's a counter on this ball!

So try to beat your very best score,

Skip It, Skip It all day long!"

Think that's part of the 30-second one.

  • OMG I remember wanting this as a kid.

    I feel so old...

  • We have one! It was from forever ago. The counter thing broke though. Still fun to play with :D

  • i still have mine!!! it did hurt like a bitch though! haha

  • They were neat, but the ankle ring was really thing, and it hurt! lol

  • I had this and loved it as a kid!

  • ooooh what i whould give to have my skip it back! =[

  • fawk that shit hurt when the ball would hit your other ankle. the counter part would break when you used the skip it too much because it would constantly slam into the ground. it was a fun toy though but it hurt.

  • I use to love this toy!!!! Oh where have the good times gone?

  • But the very best thing of all!

There's a buzzsaw on the ball!

    So Skip It!

    Skip It!

  • Those are hard!

  • I remember this! I wanted one for some reason o.o

  • I loved skip it.

  • The very best thing of all was that there was a counter on that ball.

  • Wow nostalgia. haha. I remember I would do it so fast that it would go up my leg and hit my shin, haha it hurt (:

  • As I'm looking at this commercial,it reminded me of when i had my first skip at 7.I would play with it during the after school programs.I could not because i was addicting.Too bad some fat b**** broke it that same day.Oh what i would give to have a have skip it now.I would be outside everyday.

  • @GoHabsGo0708 lmfaoooo you really made me LOL at that shit cuz it sure did hurt like a bitch when it hit you!!!!

  • LMAO! I was helping my mom clean out her garage and found my old skip it. I loved this toy. My niece looked at it like it was an alien and tried to figure out how to use it. I said it's like putting a hoola hoop on your ankle you have to twrill it and jump over it. It's sad, she doesn't even know how to spin a jump rope or skip rocks or even play outside in general, only video games. I have alot of work to do with my nieces and nephews before summer ends, maybe organize outside games *sigh*

  • i always used have trouble with the skip it

  • I wonder why it's so hard to find the full commercial for this.

  • I remember these. I wanted one as a little girl. lol :)

  • Is that Kaleena Kiff with the ponytail in the blue outfit with the polka dots?

  • I remember mine..loved it so...the memory that especially sticks in my head is when I accidentaly hurt someone with mine...good times

  • I love this toy :D lol it only scratched my ankle a little though

  • I still have my skip it! There is a video on my channel of me & my friends playing with it, check it out!

  • God bless you retrojunk

  • I've always loved that toy :D

  • holy fuck

there's a counter on the ball

    that changes EVERYTHING

  • Dude......counter NEVER worked. It would go airborne. Ah.....the memories

  • I wanted this toy so bad! my mom got me a cheaper knock-off. it was just as good...But I wanted name brand XD

  • I remember one Friday night, I stayed up just so i could reach the limit on my skip it, good times :)

  • I believe these are still sold in wal-marts.

  • .. I had one of these. D:

  • "theres a...counter on the bowowol" i used to make fun of the way he said that

  • i knew a longer one that went like Hey now kids, come gather round see what just skipped into town skip it, skip it, The very best thing to make you hop (or something like that) But the very best thing of all There's a counter on this ball So try to beat your very best score See if you can jump a whole lot more skip it, skip it The very best thing to make you hop
  • LOL i used to sing this like two years ago because my friend still had her skip it. seriously how could i forget "theres a counter on this ball" ?

  • Best toy ever! I had a ton of these!

  • omg they need to still be selling this in stores!

  • OHH SHIT i remember this. i vividly remember playing outside with my sister and we'd see who could get a higher count. i would always gets this round mark on my ankle thoo a little painful but worth it hahaha. i used to be outside ALL THE TIME when i was younger!!

  • Sexual innuendo kids toys.. no wonder i started masturbating at 8....

  • @WyldOrbit so you have a counter on your ball? haha! P:

  • @Holhander Yes, and its the very best thing of all. xD

  • AHHH i used to play with my Skip It with my navy blue Converse .... i miss the 90s!!

  • I had one. haha

  • thers a counter on this ball~

  • @KawaiiGaIx lmfaooo stop!!

  • skip your ass away from me so i can play a real game

  • The 90's really knew how to keep kids fit.

  • @laughriotproductions Well, they had to balance all the candy marketing back in the day.

  • @laughriotproductions

But now we have Wii fit. :D

  • @laughriotproductions Lies.. There has been a steady trend in PEOPLE getting fatter since at least the 1960s.. Don't forget to take off your rose colored glasses...

  • @laughriotproductions Toys of the 90's were the best

  • I remember my friend had one of those. I wasn't very good at it, I think it was because my foot was too small for the opening or something.
