Yeah - the whole concept of the 3nen sei "retiring" from clubs about midway thru their final year of school took me by surprise my first few years. The only solace I can offer is that next year, your current 2nen sei will fill that void and become the next group of students you really care about and you would have known them even longer and possibly end up with an even stronger bond.
