Beautiful, thank you for this long feature. I am impressed with this man's voice and talent. He certainly is one of our greatest. I understand why so many love him. Shame on anyone who derides him, he's just so far above the rest. I'm from the states and unfortunately discovered this jewel recently, I have a lot to catch up on. A few years ago when i first heard Daniel O Donnell , before he became so famous, as i knew he would, i heard him sing with his sister Margo. they sang a song together that i really loved, it was Rocking Alone In Her Old Rocking Chair, they sang it beautifully,and i would like to hear them sing it together again, but apparently YouTube know nothing about it. So i will have to be content with Daniel singing it alone.I have met Daniel, and he is a very lovely genuine person.

I only just discovered Daniel back in March 2010. I purchaced a few DVDs including this concert. In May, my brother got married and all 4 sisters plus several friends stayed at the same house. I took my DVDs to introduce everyone to Daniel. We listened to him all that weekend and by the end of that weekend he had quite a list of new fans. My sister called him the "male Alison Krause because he can sing anything and make is sound good."

I quite like Daniel O Donnell. That was my Papa's Favourite Singer. We sang How Great Thou Art at his funeral 6 years ago. Daniel O Donnell will always remind me of my Papa. I saw Daniel O Donnell with my Mum, Gran & Papa a few times. I will always think about my Papa when I hear Daniel O Donnell.
