  • Legalizing Cannabis has NOTHING to do with it having a drug in it!!!!

It's ALL to do with MONEY! Look at the companies that would lose Millions/Billions if it were legalized...

Oil (fuel) Oil (plastics) Forestry (paper) Pharma (medicines) Clothing (cotton/nylon) Police (fines) Judiciary (fines) Prisons (jobs) Hospitals (fewer patients)

... just to name a few.

It's NOT about Drugs... it's about MONEY! Don't kid yourself!

  • Its not rocket science.

Cannabis use in the UK annually - 10.8%

Cannabis use in the Netherlands annually - 6.1%

If you want less people smoking it, legalize.

  • @2edsajdmsa it's not legal in the Netherlands. It's tolerated. I get your point though.

  • @BlackTongueLoki right, but in effect the results are the same as if you legalized ;-)

  • @BlackTongueLoki Although my one issue with the Dutch model is that the "backdoor" portion isn't regulated. Coffeeshops can sell the cannabis they have but they cannot get any more, so they must turn to the black market to buy the cannabis in bulk to then sell in their shops.

    I'd regulate the growing too.

  • GORDON SMOKES BROWN

  • Comment removed

  • CUNT

  • @JamWtree lol

  • i think he means *mephedrone"

  • No neck?

  • @Jordanz0rd lmafo

  • Traitors like this should be hung.

  • I love Gordon Brown, what a LAD

  • I love drugs

  • Would you buy a bag of Mephedrone from this man?

  • Is he saying 'methedrone'???

  • I reallyyy hate Gordon so much.

  • (continued from other comment) mephedrone used the memphetamines or however you spell it.. now they have to vary it so much its going to be dangerous. apparently a new drug is out called mpv or npv and some kid ripped all his teeth out on it. well done labour party, well done.

  • he hasnt got a clue the cunt.. the reason that guy resigned from the head of drugs department posistion or w.e it was called.. is because he knew if they banned mephedrone before they found out more about it the legal high creators would just bring out a new more chemical varied (to make it differ from the other so it can be blagged as legal) which will potentially be up to 10x more dangerous... there running out of chemical similarities they can use.. mdma has been taken by methylone..

  • Look at those ears just look at them you cant miss them

  • to date 30/04/2010 there is no scientific evidence to say that methadrome was a contributing factor of the recent deaths

in other words they had alcohol and other illegal drugs in there system at the time of death, remember XTC well turns out most of the people who died actually died from anaphalactic shock (they were elergic to it) just like some people are with nuts

its just more scaremongering by politicians who tell bare faced lies and get away with it

pat yourself on the back U.K

  • @fliskrules Anaphylactic shock? Who told you that? It's complete bollox. The 2 most common reasons for Ecstasy deaths are:

1, heatstroke - causing vital organs to shut down.

2, excess water consumption (like Leah Betts) - causing swelling of the brain.

There are a very small number of cases where users had pre-existing Heart conditions which resulted in death, but overdose and allergic reactions are both scenarios played out by the media to scare people and both are completely false.

  • I think we've had a very unusual scenario where the worst prime minister this country has ever had was followed by someone even worse still.

The two worst prime ministers in quick succession. Nasty.

  • The British Prisoner CHARLES BRONSON should be a free man by now ! Just proves how un Christian this country is. No wonder people are turning to Islam ! And I'm talking about mainstream people turning to Islam.

  • Sounded like he said methadone, the heroin substitue but im sure he meant methadrone.

  • @artiscrap: indeed thebprohibition of drugs makes it not only less expensive therefore less dangerous and yes it would cut crime, but there's a reason they're banned... They're ridiculously addictive and harmful to your body...

  • Gordons on meph if he thinks hes winning the election

  • Gordon Brown on drugs... poilcy. :P

  • No, no - I shall rely on my own biased views.

Listen to the scientific experts?... far too logical.

  • no proven links between mephedrone and death - there will be now its illegal and more dangerous and expensive

decriminalise all drugs and you slash crime in half overnight and save the economy billions in policing costs

current drug policy puts money straight into the hands of gangsters - do they care?? do they fuck?

prohibition doesn't work - only makes drugs more dangerous!

  • British prisoner CHARLES BRONSON should be a free man !!!!!

  • Its all hipocracy ! They give people who are drug addicts council flats, and houses, while the person who don't take drugs, trying to better their life are still on a waiting list, living at home with their parents well into their 30s and 40s. The drug addicts get all the help like immigranst do, while the person trying to live right are put under pressure because they cant find a stable Job unless its agency slave work.

  • @truthhitmanisback

No they dont, Drug addicts get JACK SHI, the current free drug service is terribleT. What does happens is they get their gf pregnant, and that is what gets them the council flat. An immigrant is way more likley to get a flat than a single Drug addict. If you on drugs and dontr have a gf to make pregnant, you are literrly on the streets, FACT.

  • @TonyMon16 I'm sorry you don't get Jack. But in Lambeth they give council flats to crack heads, and people who have mental problems. This is a fact because I see it daily. Immigrants get the Jobs for cheap labour , plus they are subservant while this country hates their own. This is why the BNP have a voice , though I don't support them. They were on question time while people like Doctah X can't even be seen on TV because of racism.

  • @TonyMon16 Wrong I'm afraid. If addicts go on certified re-hab programs via organizations like Turning Point, they are given housing. It's happening all over the country and it's been this way for almost a decade. It matters not if they are addicted to drugs or alcohol, they are given housing, grants and handouts from the social care fund, whether they have kids or not is irrelevant.

  • Gordon Brown is a Presbyterian, he believes that any kind of "enjoyment" is ungodly and injurous to the soul, THAT is why he would never consider legalising any "drug".

He is definitely NOT a progressive, he is a member of one of the most repressive and backwards looking religions in the UK.

In every regard he is a puritan and not a man for the 21st century.

  • i love a man with power

  • So make the decision first and then have a look at evidence second?

  • @redgiemental That's precisely what I was thinking, and to be fair to him, that's precisely what he did. At least he came through on something, eh?

  • We should kill this bastard :D

  • All this rave about methadrone is completely ridiculous. The Sun and other media sources hyped it up so much that half the population believe it is the worst thing since Jack the f*cking ripper.

I want to hear their stance on canabis, a drug which is arguably safer than alcohol. I don't smoke canabis habitually, but I'm against the erosion of public freedom on the whim of some high earning posh boy who thinks that drugs are for bad people. Are all politicians this out of touch?

  • oh sorry in the sidebar i thought it said gordon brown on drugs soz wrong vid

  • Why does a DICk have to run this country. Do we really need to vote. Just get someone who will not fuck up

  • I do not believe a word this man says!

  • It might be clear to YOU Prime Minister, but that's why we're supposed to have democracy, so other (hopefully intelligent) people can have their say... No wonder the election turn-outs are so low. You lot keep banning everything, and we have no control!

  • do yourself a favour gordon, bend over drop your pants, then stick a rose in your bottom, then become a relly useful part of society,,,,,,,,,,,,, a flowerpot

  • agree with lionhart3001 , an easy win would be to legalize canibis , it will hit the drug dealers hard and make getting class A much harder as most drug dealers start small by selling canibis first , and id rather smell canibis when i walk past a smoker that shitty fags.

  • @kierzorz an even easier win would be scaring people to a point where the risk of touching or dealing drugs is not worth the risk, like in the far east.

  • I'D LIKE TO GIVE GORDON A BANANA SIZED SUPPOSITORY USING COMPRESSED AIR - ANYONE THINK THAT SHOULD BE TELEVISED FOR PUBLIC ENTERTAINMENT - thanks for 12 years of shit Gordon.

  • lol I thought the video was "gordon brown on drugs" because cut off the "policy" part

  • LEGALIZE CANABIS!!!!!!!!

  • GORDON BROWN FTW!!

  • What a useless fucking cunt.

  • legalise tax regulate cannabis it would generate billions

  • i think he is a bigot !! :)

  • @gush789 original

  • Grey haired pric

    Lol

  • Alcohol is one of the biggest problem drugs that we could ahve legal, however in UK its historical and what happens when its illegal, major crime jump. take the fucking hint, legalise the weed.

  • Shut up you fucking cocksucker.

  • @mufcCurt they can both kill you

if you drunk pure alcohol you would need vertually nothing to kill you

  • did he say "young people"

wow blame YOUR ENGINERED drugs on us

  • Brazen liar. VOTE UKIP

  • @jilltanjill I agree, If your a real Brit, vote UKIP, its in your interest!

  • Making it illegal doesn't stop people using it you fucking johnnies. If anything more attention's been drawn to it now.

  • How can the world be in debt to itself? That's right.....IT CANT! Which means we must owe to someone or something here on earth. So who is it? If money makes the world go round and is the lifeblood of all social institutions then this point seems like one of the biggest for the human race to consider. You will not find the answer in the media, politics or religion. Watch zeitgeist addendum and prepare to find out who owns you.

  • @fibbsabaddy i think its the indipendant monetry fund

  • @policematrix Quite right. We are slaves and you are only worth your current wealth. Wealth creates wealth. Proven by the fact 1% owns 40% of the wealth. Have you seen zeitgeist addendum?

  • Methadrone wasn't the problem it was the people that used it. Mixing it with ecasty speed and acid caused the problems .

  • @imperialbooner

    trueeeeee

  • Drinking alcohol has a greater impact on society and NHS than cannabis would ever have. Extra police is needed for drunken behaviour and public order as well as treatment for alcoholics and liver damage, not to mention the violence in relationships. Over abused of anything can cause harm. Professors have backed up the legalisation of cannabis, because if government controlled the cultivation of the plant the levels of CBD which has the opposite effect of physcosis developing could be increased

  • The Lib Dems are the only ones who have said they will have an evidence-based drugs policy and take the advice of the scientific advisers.

  • @jmebag1 That's the ONLY good thing the Lib Dems propose, everything else is bullshit.

If you want 60.000 criminals released from prison early, if you want £ road tolls, if you want an immigration free for all, if you fancy ditching the £ for the Euro, if you want more EU bureaucracy, if you want a defenceless country plunged into power cuts and if you want to be banned from flying the St Georges flag, then vote Liberal Democrats!

  • @bmk139 If UKIP were truly libertarian they would have no immigration policies. Read Friedmans ideas on immigration, then perhaps you would understand.

  • LEGALISE CANNABIS!!! its the most harmless, peaceful drug!, AND its a fucking PLANT!! how can the Government decide that a PLANT is illegal??!

  • YOU ARE AN IDIOT GORDON. "we have to go thorugh the scientific enquires" BUT WILL YOU LISTEN TO THEM??? hell NO!!! you'll sack the scientists who tell you the facts, and just do what you want anyway - THIS IS WHY WE HAVE HAD ENOUGH, you take us for fools

  • @TechState <----What he said!!

  • im not voting i think more people vote for whos gonna be the next dorathy than the election well to be honest i dont blame them whos with me !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @TheJembo1 You still have a protest vote.

  • @TechState amen

  • oh look everyone, he listens to advices now. except the ones that disagree with him...prick

  • @stivante Yup, a true bigot, and an arrogant, deluded, narcissistic socio-path if ever there was one. Fuck NewLabour, bunch of self serving, useless cunts the lot of them!

  • @stivante gordons a prick

  • In a world where 1% of the world control 40% of the wealth, 50% earn less than 2 dollars a day, 60% have never used a phone, 100 million tons of waste is floating in the pacific and a 6th of the population is starving something is obvious, our political and social institutions do not work. We need a new approach. Watch 'zeitgeist addendum' online to find out the more.

'We can not solve the problems of today by using the same thought process we used when we created them' Albert Einstein.

  • @dudevandude

Could you please cite your sources?

  • this would be wayyyy more interesting if they took "policy" off the end of this title

  • Gordon & his party are a bunch of ****s, they've dragged us in to two wars and are largely to blame for all of the death of our troops & innocent people in Afghan & Iraq. They've allowed our country to fall in to recession, lost millions of us our homes & jobs. They bailed out the banks then paid the bankers a bonus with our tax money.

He opened the doors to Europe & swamped our culture with everyone else.

He sold our gold reserves for next to nothing + he's never been elected

    He's a disgrace

  • @ecotts Fucking Amen to your post.

    Couldn't of put it better.

  • Not really "discussing drugs policy", just plant food. Whats his policy on sacking his advisors on the subject? Just because he doesn't agree with their opinion, the people who know a great deal more about the science behind it. Ok it was Johnson who sacked David Knut, but still. If alcohol is legal because because most people can be responsible why not other drugs? Half of parliament confessed to have smoked weed not long ago! Law breaking politicians, who'd have thought?

  • Its MEPHEDRONE not methadrone, no wonder their drug policy is in such a mess.

  • B. I. G. O. T.

    brown is going on thursday

  • @MUBINRoo lol good'un. B.I.G.O.T print that on your posters Brownole!

  • i like apples

  • @weegogo123 me to yum yum :P

  • Comment removed

  • @UmmahTube

either you're a troll or just really really retarded. so... which one do you pick?

  • @UmmahTube Twat

  • Drug laws are a joke. Even God failed in his attempts at prohibition. all he suceeded in doing was making the apples seem more tempting. I'm sure he created various mind altering plants at the same time but he didn't have a problem with Adam and Eve consuming as much of them as they liked, just leave those nice, jucy, sweet smelling apples alone. That worked well didn't it?

You will only ever control drug use by legalising, regulating and educating if you believe otherwise you are a fool

  • @mufcCurt If you look at the votes on all the video's you'll see that Clegg is miles ahead on nearly all of them. If this translates to how people vote in the election then yes they could win. However you'll never hear that from any of the media as they continue to tell you over and over again that they can't. It's that age old trick , tell people something often enough and they'll believe it. Remember all the media has left or right wing bias. If they cannot win we cannot call this a democracy

  • @RollandSmokeAB Indeed! Clegg can win,and i think he will if the electorate votes with it's head, and not it's arse.

  • By concentrating on cannabis you're creating a nation of addicts because there's Heroin everywhere,it's so easy to get round here, weed is hard to get. Now that is ludicrous wouldn't you agree?

  • @mufcCurt So you think its acceptable to steal money from those who are wealthier than you through coercion? What divine right states that you deserve their money?

  • Vote for legalis cannabis

not ruin my young life and uthers!

still u ceep fags beer on shelf

  • cigarettes and alcohol kill more poeple then drugs but the government dont care as long as they rich

  • @pav07 That statement is idiotic, the reason they do is becuase of the availability, and why is the fact they kill people a bad thing? People exercise their autonomy and choose to take them....

  • @rikhurley I think pav07 is trying to get at the point that cannabis has some health hazzards attributed to it like cigs and booze. But cannabis also has many benefits that are yet undiscovered, for example it has shown to dent alzheimer progression on top of its known analgesic properties for those with chronic pain. and not to mention helping those on chemo regain their appetite.

  • @speedemon1234, I didn't deny that cannabis has health benefits, although I think it would be a fallacy to embark on an argument that it is good for you. I don't care whether it is good for you, things shouldn't be legal because somebody deemed that are good for you, everything should be legal, its up to you to decide whether you want to take it.

  • @rikhurley im just saying you that cigs and booze kills more people then drugs and yet they both are legal and apart from the people who make them the government make money on it aswell

  • You said you were going to listen to scientific evidence. Then when you didn't like what the scientists said ,you sacked them.

You're a hypocritical twat, get the fuck out of office.

  • 5-IAI (5-Iodo-2-Aminoindane) will be the next mephedrone. Maybe in a year they'll ban this after its use explodes, and then something new will come out. Endless cycle. People just want MDMA, they should just make its use regulated, at least the long term effects are known. Thats why im voting LIBDEM, give the scientist the control over regulation, not the goverment, the war on drugs is going no where.

  • @fffffff3ff3 cannabis has been illegal since the 1920's. and after 8 decades what is the result of the 'war on drugs?' the UK is now a net exporter of it!

  • If you don't listen to the scientists, relying on data and evidence and instead go with populist policies to keep Daily Mail readers happy, frankly I have no time for you. Areas with active methodrone programmes have seen some of the largest reductions in crime across the country. Coincidence? Of course not. If a junkie has no alternative of COURSE he'll go back to crime to pay for heroin.

  • @NotEvsie mephodrone programmes what ???

your telling me that people are burgaling houses for mephadrome fuck off you soft cunt and are you telling me mephadrome users will take heroin as a substitute your living in a different world

people do crime for lots of different reasons but you think its the cats meow crew ha ha ha

  • @policematrix Heroin addicts commit crime to feed their addiction. Where an alternative to heroin is provided for free, they no longer need to commit crime to feed the habit. There have been countless studies carried out by the police, the NHS and independent bodies that prove it. Data and evidence, not media led populist BS, should inform policy decisions.

  • @NotEvsie It's mephadrdrome not methadone they're 2 completely different drugs.

  • @NotEvsie I AGREE

but we were talking about mephadrome wernt we

  • hes a BIGOTED man

  • On drugs policy? He's only talking about one drug, even though drugs cause immense problems in society they also sooth the pain of others who need release. Cannabis SHOULD be legalized, BUT ONLY for the terminally ill. Some people have so much pain during their day to day lives and their doctor can't help. Some patients allready use it but are constantly in fear of a police raid.

  • @TequilaTommy

why just for the terminaly ill im fit as a fiddle but i love smokin weed wats up with that its my body and mind and ill do as i please no matter what the law on drugs say

your right in that it should at least be decriminalised cause we all fear getting our door booted in by the heavy handed police who treat you as a hardened criminal even though you abide by all other laws

ive allways said if it dosnt harm anyone ells then its blatently not a crime its the year 2010 ffucks sake

  • @dudevandude LOL.

  • all he basically said was "methadrone" is bad. it's mephedrone you total moron! HE DOESN'T EVEN KNOW WHAT IT'S CALLED. He is just jumping on the propaganda bandwagon and saying what everyone wants to hear. Mephedrone is a problem? not really, it was blown out of proportion. What is his drugs policy then?

  • Camping noob, oh sorry wrong video...

  • @TheBlackDelorian i like it ;)

  • what an idiot, drug prohibition does not work! firstly the government has no right to tell anyone what they can do with their own body, its called self ownership i own me and nobody has any right to tell me what to do unless i take that freedom from someone else, harm or fraud someone else or their property. and secondly it just doesnt work, look at alcohol prohibition in the USA, we have the same thing with drugs.

  • ALCOHOL HAS BEEN A FUCKING PROBLEM ! why not make that illegal too you fucking idiots

  • @b00353 - How many have resigned from the drug advisory council? Practically all of them. The government employ science and medical advisors and then completely ignore them....While 100's of 1000's die of smoking and drinking related illnesses, and live with the broken life alcoholism gives them....The hypocrisy is breathtaking... They only see drugs and a voting issue. To be seen to be doing something rather than facing the reality of the situation.

  • @b00353 not trying to get into a retarded little youtube comment argument but have you never thought that maybe the alcohol itself isnt the problem? its the people who drink themselves into a coma every other night that are the problem, i dont see why the majority should have to suffer with an alcohol ban just because the minority cant realise when enough is enough

  • @b00353 Well, you see there was a thing called "probation" in the US which made alcohol illegal. People just wanted to drink and criminals (mafia etc) were the ones selling it and made HUGE profits. You can't ban alcohol because there are a lot of people who love it.

  • @b00353 Because the treasury makes £billions from alcohol.

  • Should have been jumped on so much quicker by the government its been around years now and its fucking bad for you

    one

  • Also;

    A) He's saying it wrong.. It's mephedrone, not methodrone

    B) Did he just admit to pretty much taking Alan Johnsons advice as gospel before doing any scientific research, or have I just entered the twilight zone? (Johnson being a man with a history of ignoring hard scientific evidence if it doesn't exactly match his stubborn made up opinions on various drugs)

The really dangerous thing about a lot of drugs is that they are sold in an environment where there are no standards of quality.

  • The twat hasn't a fucking clue

  • no ones ever died from weed

  • Smoke a big fat joint mr Brown and chill the fuck out. Legalise weed, sell it in cafes and tax it. Drinking will go down and fighting will go down. Didn't the British medical board say that sugar was worse for you than weed.

  • Yes, talk just a little more quieter and a little more boring ... that will make me want to give me your vote!

Jibber jabber, quite literally under your breath may have gotten Labour elected these last couple of elections... Too bad...

we've finally managed to stay away through your bullshit and clean our ears enough so we can hear all the crap!

    Labour ...FAIL!

  • thats my old school :)

  • Fuck off Labour!!!!!!

  • I couldn't care less about the legal status of chemical highs... but why are natural psychedelics such as mushrooms and cannabis illegal. They are plants of the earth and the criminalization of nature is the true crime.

  • Surely he means Mephedrone and not Methadrone?? Fail

  • Really now, meph and cannabis are unhealthy. They might not kill you but that doesn't mean they're safe!

And we just can't ban alcohol, it would be like suddenly banning petrol!

  • @VeltasVandegere In what way would it?

  • @VeltasVandegere Cannabis is not unhealthy, smoking it is.

  • Do not vote, It only encourages them. Instead look into the ideas of the Venus project. The only tangible way to a better future beyond politics, poverty and war.

Remember that none are more hopelessly enslaved than those who falsely believe they are free.

  • typical response, small majority of the public say ban it and the government hop to it, want to listen to the people who use it for a change? banning it hasnt stopped me using it, just more money out of my pocket, and i doubt the amount of users has gone down since the ban, theres been no scientific link between meph and the deaths its apparently caused, alcohol and smoking are more addictive and dangerous, ban them as well, boring scottish git

  • Someone ought to beat the living daylights out of this traitor.

  • whos that fag in the video?

oh its gordon brown. what a fag

  • why try and Legalise weed etc, we're still gonna take it Legal or fucking not (; :P so UP YOURS GORDAN BROWN...

  • "Used to create wars by young people"? Erm, that's really watching a house burning down and commenting on how poorly the windows are made; you're being too specific.

But overall, I'm in agreement. 'Legal high'. Anything that has the word 'legal' in it as a selling point is going to be dodgy. It doesn't help that it is in fact very unhealthy for you.

  • @VeltasVandegere

"used in the way it was" *

  • @jamesdavidpettitt

Thank you, I admit my hearing is a bit off today.

  • Obviously, however, there is the brilliant counter-argument that alcohol is far worse on your mind, body and health. Yes, this is true. Why is it allowed then? Because despite all its troubles, alcohol is a massive industry in the UK (funding workers, not just factory owners), and such a familiar thing that people have far better knowledge about its dangers. Not only that, but the selling point of why we shouldn't ban alcohol is looking at the prohibition that occurred in the USA.

  • Gordon Broon is on drugs himself if he thinks Labour will win the election!

  • if you are gonna get anywhere for real you need evidence based policy otherwise you are just distorting the world even more.. after all we are dealing with reality here aren't we? What you sack evidenced based advisors? Der... like I would vote for anyone so stupid.. your track record and grasp on reality and evidence is just awful mate and unfortunately not just on drugs policy.. little busienss of a war based on a lie too.. mmm.. isn't that illegal? why aren't you lot in jail yet?

  • @bongojohnuk I really like what you said there,my thoughts exactly.

  • might do a fat line now tbh...

  • Just think, if labour do get booted out then brown will go down as the most useless prime minister(UN-elected BTW) that ever graced the shores of this great nation, nice :)

    Peace

  • mephedrone is baaaaaaaangin

  • LEGALIZE WEEEEEEEEEEED

  • I have noticed with the comments that more and more people are getting used to the same ol drug policy bullshit, LISTEN to the PEOPLE and NOT media moguls mr unelected brown and you 'may' get some voters back, mind you, this guy did say that cannabis is leathal?(just look up the word lethal, cannabis and lethal go together like baby powder and 3rd degree burns)

  • UR A FUKIN NOBEND GORDON AND U LOOK LYK A BAWBAG SO SHUT THE FUK UP, fukin wanker

  • "Obviously we have to go through the scientific enquiries...but I think it's clear to me that methadrone poses a difficulty when used in the way it was."

So, Brown doesn't need the science for clarity - his mind is made up already. I suppose that's pretty obvious from the appalling mistreatment of scientists on the advisory panel in the past few months.
