This film was one of those cliche ridden but still well-written thrillers about an evil child, but the twist at the end made the cliches a little more tolerable-much better than Macaulay Culkin in the Good Son, but I still find it unfair to compare this film to that one, as this is sooo much better than that! I've watched it over 5 times now, and still enjoy it. But to those who find the twist lame-remember this: you're entitled to that opinion, so am I!

it is hypopituitary dwarfism...which i've never actually heard it called. generally just a lack of growth hormone during adolescence. she would still look like an adult..i.e. like anyone else with dwarfism. this film sounds like the film makers looked up some sort of disorder after they had an awesome idea of a kid actually being an older lady.

I never would of thought that at the age of 17 (now 18) that a Horror movie would ever scare me again, But Orphan did just that, this scene scared me so much, I never thought even for a second that she would of been a 33 year old woman, while watching the movie i thought she was a 9 year old girl, so when this was revealed i was in shock! and really scared, also the scenes of her freaking out were also frightning, I give this movie a 9.2/10

According to her behaviour during the first two thirds of the movie, I thought she was a victim of some secret medical experiment which went wrong (like regular injecting with some kind of juvenile hormone, which should have made her look like a child, despite being 15 years old both chronologically, and mentally). Maybe I read conspiracy theories too much. :-)

that depends on what scares you-I saw it with a friend in theatres, we found it more creepy and suspenseful than scary, but it's very adult in its content, personally I can't recommend it to under 18 year olds, but judge for yourself, let me know what you think about the twist, I found it rather clever myself, I've watched the whole movie over 5 times now and I still love it.
