What I've seen from this..."the holy spirit" is whatever the hell you want to make of it (or not). I can declare "My God is Chuck Norris! (yeah, sorry I brought that old cliche' back). Despite the fact I have no proof Mr. Norris is in anyway superior or divine to us, I can still believe that. People do not need proof to believe in something, all they need is to feel better about themselves and their life. Besides from faith despite no proof (blind faith), all reason and logic supports atheism.
True, there is no moral book of atheism, it doesn't pretend to be. All it states is that there is no god because it doesn't make sense. Therefore, it also indirectly states that he must not have created the universe, so I assume most Atheists would believe in the big bang. Speaking strictly atheist, it doesn't explain anything, only that godly theories can't be true. Better to not guess rather than guess and probably be wrong. No one religion has all the correct answers, that's important.
The big bang sounds a lot like the Genesis account and bangs do have bangers. It's more logical to say that information comes from an Informer. Blind chance has no power or purpose and even if that was so, rigged dice has riggers. Yet, Atheism still doesn't explain how we got here and where we are going. Why there is life and death? Love, suffering, etc. Why do we have a conscious? Knowledge is only known through the human mind and not necessarily through science.
Atheism is a humanly guess and humans will always be limited. The Bible claims to be from God. The God in the Bible challenges anyone if they think they are gods tell Him the end from the beginning. The Bible is a book of about 30 percent prophecy. God explains what's happening right now concerning the end of the age. By your own answer, the Atheist religion doesn't have all the answers. And if Atheism was true, everything would be an illusion. Evil wouldn't exist. Religion can't save anyone.
Of course atheism doesn't have all the answers, that's the point. Nobody does, and atheists are the only ones being honest about it. You know, honesty, humbleness, virtues like that.
No ONE has all the correct answers? then how many do you have to believe to get all the answers? Not only is that illogical, it creates a situation that you cannot KNOW you are right with God. It also presupposes that someone powerful enough to create such an intricate universe could not communicate His thoughts to His creation. Just a couple of the illogical necessities of atheistic thought.
Actually, and in 500 CH its hard to develop, but when one comes to a realization of God, it usually makes them feel worse. Its an unnerving recognition how far we've fallen short of God's minimums. So I think your feel-good option is dead.
There is no logic in atheism - nada. Regression logic will tell you that something cannot come from nothing without a miracle, and atheism has no room for miracles. No miracles - no universe!!. No universe, no evolution, no evolution no man. End of story.
Is it possible that there is another force that people have been miss-interpreting as prof of the Christian god / Jesus in their harts, as well as the holy force in other religions?
This isn't as advertised a coming together of many faiths. This is for Christians only. This is not a cogent argument against other faiths or even an argument for Christianity. It's a jingoistic Christian pep rally.
That doesn't mean that the Christian faith is true, is it possible that there is a God "Force" that has been interpreted in many different ways, that have become various different religions, especially as they become miss interpreted over the ages? Did you know that the bible has been edited, and many of the original teaching of Jesus Christ have been removed? Look up the origional teachings of jesus Christ!
What evidence do you have for that? We have thousands of ancient manuscripts. The dead sea scroll confirms the Torah. Archeology. But one thing that stands out from the rest, prophecy.
Isaiah 46:10 "I declare the end from the beginning, and from long ago what is not yet done, saying: My plan will take place, and I will do all My will."
Satan might have a few good guesses, but only God knows the beginning and the end.
Actually, I think yer blowing smoke ;-) Cite any instance where the teachings of Christ have been removed from the Bible? This is a legend that I've heard for 50 years, but never been able to find. Where would you suggest I look?
Edited yes, but not since it was put to paper - you cannot take everything that happened in three years and put it into a few pages.
Christianity is the only logical, defensible world view. That doesn't mean everyone is going to agree with it!

5 random questions to which I have never heard a protestant give a satisfactory answer:
1)What objective reasons do you have to consider the Bible to be inspired literature?
2)Where in the Bible does it say that the Bible is the only rule for faith?
3)Why does Saint Paul call the Church the foundation of truth?
4)Where is the only place in the Bible where the words "faith" and "alone" next to one another.
5)Why did Jesus give his apostles the authority to forgive sins?

I'm sorry but atheism does little to explain the beginning to the end, how we got here and where we are going, morality...
