Garmin Nuvi 3790 LMT on the road. Map screen problem.

The device is nice looking the maps have vivid colors and also nice looking when you can see them but Garmin made me go thru 4 of the same model always asking me to wait for the next software update. My recomendation is to wait until the product has matured if you don't want to end up debugging their devices.

Got the same problem with my 3790t in Belgium. After using it for half an hour, it starts to flash. After it's getting crazy, it shuts down and reboots itself. You expect a great navigator for the amount of money i've paid, but nooooooooooo ...........

Well this issue is present in all 3 Garmin GPS units of this same model. On the top of It, update to new map 2011.40 did not help and coverage of the map for Edmonton is still problematic especially for residential areas. Most developments are missing streets, have wrong connections or intersections of streets. This caused me a lot of confusion, I had to actually use the iPhone and google maps to find missing streets or right intersections. This product need's firmware update and maps need to

@bumbadvdpl I see it's a normal areal view and not that crap "Follow the car at 45 degrees" How do you set it to normal areal view?

I got the same problem when I was in Calgary, I manually rebooted the system, then the problem was gone. I wonder if it's the map issue or not. My Nüvi 3790 also has jumpy screen after couple hours using, it reboots itself after a while.
