2000 was not an example of the Republicans "stealing" an election. It was just another example of the Democrats attempting to steal an election.

The first time was unanimous. The second time was by a 7-2 decision. The 5-4 split everyone talks about was on whether or not to continue with the manual recounts on a statewide basis (which was NOT what Gore wanted). But it was already 5 weeks after the election, and - as I stated above - all the media recounts showed that Bush would have won a statewide recount anyway.

Incorrect. Dubya won the first recount, the recount, and he was ahead in all the manual recounts. (The media also performed a full recount months after the election and confirmed that Dubya won the election.) The Florida Supreme Court was comprised of 6 Dems and 1 Independent. Their decisions were so biased in favor of Gore that they were overturned by the United States Supreme Court twice
