Is she Canadian, born into the french part of Canada, or just French? I think the first one. I know many Canadians who don't like the Quebec area because they don't like the French.
@Skabur123 She was born in the province of Québec in Canada and yes Québec is very French. As for how they're perceived; there are lingering tensions on both sides. Canadians who live far from any significant French-speaking communities will tend to have a more negative view as their only exposure to French-Canadians and the Québecois specifically is through the news about various controversies and extremist talk of secession. Those who frequent Québecois on a daily basis have a better view.
It's not a cult. It's pride. Pride to be different, Pride to be French in a sea of English. Pride to be and to still be, after all these years of reverse cultural osmosis. Pride in an identity. Pride to be a québecer. Proud of the mark that Céline has made in the world. Proud to be. Thank you to the Dion family for giving us Céline!
Oh my Lord, there are so many of them, hahaha!!!In the US we have a joke about large families like this; we say that the mothers and fathers didn't just have kids, they gave birth to a BAND and a CHOIR, lol. How nice to come from a musical family this big!
@blakrumba Celine is the youngest of 14. She and I were born a couple of months apart in the same town so I'm sure I've passed a few of them on the street at some point. Jealous here too; I'm an only child, not a fun childhood!
Blimey! From the oldest to the youngest every one of them has a real belter of a voice. All the old grannies and granpas are pretty light on their feet too. Christmas must be a hoot at their household! LOL!
celine dion à la fin m'as fait pleuré car elle chante d'une voix spirituelle . je l 'adore trop trop trop . je vous aime celine dion et vous restez toujours la première . merci pour la vedio.
can anyone tell me what celine sings from 5.15 onwards? Its just so lovely I cry every time I hear it and would love to know what the lyrics are so I can sing along. Can anyone help?
@zippyzipster : The song that the brothers and sisters sing is called : À la claire fontaine and is a traditionnal song. What Céline sings are just the same words on another melody and musical arrangement and I agree both of them together with the instrumentation is enough to give goosebumps.

@Dallas3212 It was common when Celine Dion's mother was young.Even in 2009,some family have more than 10 children. After all,a pregnancy only takes 9 month
@Topsecret464 well it must be very difficult for her to know each one of them personally and have some sort of relationship with them lol i mean thats alottt of ppl people!
Her dad is dead but Céline's mom attended the concert. She must have been a very proud mama to see all her children reunited and singing all together like this. @LouiseQc555 Yep "A la Claire fontaine" is so old that us in Europe know it very well and consider it our own so it must be maybe just slightly more than 400 y/o and first French migrants to Quebec must have brought it with them...;)
