I love the sound of the band, but the sound coming out is painful. You may want to consider a shotgun profile or some class of boundary mic. You might need to reduce ground loop hum in your equipment, it's hard to pin down noise causes without being there to test and play. I do like your performance; though, a key rule to stage presence is not turning away from the audience for an awkward length of time.
It probably sounds better if you're actually there. Only complaint I have is that the voices are too soft compared to the loud instruments, but that's only because it was recorded. It's good. :D

@meis The Seatbelt features some of the best musicians in the world along with one of the most inspirational singers of our generation, I don't think it's possible to make a cover as good as the original considering it's damn near perfect to begin with.
That said, I for one appreciate the effort. They could have picked any simple top-ten song form the pop charts the last 30 years and made it easy for themselves, but they chose a masterpiece. 8/10 for performance and 10/10 for balls!!

It's good, and the vocals are pretty close to the original. But the music covers the vocals too much, almost drowning it out to the point of superfluousity to have a singer at all.

part of the problem is that when the video was recorded they just used the mic on the camera instead of hooking the audio up to the soundboard (assuming of course that there was one present at this performance). i think if they'd done that, the song would sound much better. aside from that though, great performance on the part of the band.

yet again, a bunch of moron comment posters who have never touched an instrument. Yes, guitar is a bit out of tune and vocals aren't the best, but i hope u realize that the song is tough to play. Just practice for a couple weeks you guys can get this. Sound quality probably doesn't do justice to the actual performance. I hate having to comment to defend musicians - hey you faggot ass commenters, pick up an instrument then comment.

Getting back on topic, their performance for a band I never heard of would have received a 2.5 stars out of 5. The ladies voices hurt my ears, and the way the guy stressed some certain syllables made the words sound different then what he was trying to say.

This song really isn't suited to male vocals. The rest of the performance was good despite the relatively bad (I'd grade it B-) sound quality. Seriously, though, it'd be a good cover if you had the male singer sit it out and give the ladies the lead on it!

part of the problem is that when the video was recorded they just used the mic on the camera instead of hooking the audio up to the soundboard (assuming of course that there was one present at this performance). i think if they'd done that, the song would sound much better. aside from that though, great performance on the part of the band.
