They are there to cover the wheels and actually are pretty aerodynamic in design.

If the economy was not crapped up, around $12,000. In some ways it is priceless because there are only 50 in the world made and 40 running! Until the world gets its act together and there are tons of sereis hybrids (Chevy Volt) and other full electrics, I will be stopped in the street every time I drive this Gizmo!
