@McLovin666ll It's MTV who is greedy my friend. They are the ones who pay for it all. Nobody starts a rock band and says "hey let's lip sync." Especially a band who has graced the stage at glastonbury. If MTV says lip sync, you do it. That's more than enough reason to say this performance is embarrassing. I just hope the world recognizes that it's MTV at fault, not the musicians. They are talented. They wrote this music. They perform this music everywhere else. Trust me MTV is the devil!!!!!

@McLovin666ll Its really nothing new. Soul train had nothing but lip syncing performances. Really it's just a matter of promoting your music. MTV is the biggest market for music. It's because it's television, not a concert. The music business has never been one where you can say "no" without losing a GRIP of money and I'm sure it wasn't even there decision. Record labels tell you "if you want to be a rockstar, you do what your new manager tells you because we're the ones funding it."

@McLovin666ll You really can't compare this pop stuff to the likes of the doors and nirvana. The Cardigans just write catchy songs but aren't really great entertainers to be honest. That's why you see t shirts of jim morrison and kurt cobain. It just shows where the cardigans' priorities were and that was to get their catchy tunes out there, rather than selling a "rock" performance. I lost a grip of respect for them as a band when I saw this but as song writers, they went platinum at age 21.

If you noticed, the cardigans had to lipsync some 1998-1999 performances and most of the 2005 tv appearances. That's why it's hard to find a TV performance of Erase\Rewind or I Need Some Fine Wine that is not playback
