i rofl your final twenty seconds. i am going to assume that you have recorded imporv solos over this multiple times, attempting to get one of them to be really good, and that last twenty seconds was off of your most epically failed attempt...
Let me explain the final 20 seconds for you ;) When I started recording the video and started playing the first note I hit was so wrong that it didn't make much sense to keep on playing. I did though, making it deliberately messy, just to make a joke.
I hope you don't really think that I started out like that, and then finally creating a decent improv? That would be nothing short of a miracle then ;)
in other words, my brother, you started off key, you are saying. i understand the mojo with terms more complicated than those of a regular slum, for i too am that of a talented musician. (please don't watch my vids they are very old and i have not uploaded but two more recent ones) so i guess i understand?...
you might also want to try writing solos for petrucci fever, they have awesome backing tracks for us to use, i am using one now to write my second awesome extended solo of all time.
@fatbubble123 its funny you should critisize someone else, this guy can obviously outplay you any day, and your failed eruption attempt is a joke, try tuning the guitar, practicing, and then maybe you can have an opinion about playing skill.
Great playing! You made it look fluid and effortless! I do think that you could have ended the vid at 1:27 as that was a great slower ending. After that it seemed a bit messy to me. good job tho'...far better than i could manage!!!
Incredible. I have a question: I have an Academy Stratocaster guitar, with the strings too high from the frets. Does that have anything to see with executing a fluent wrist vibrato? I´ve been trying to do a fluent vibrato since I started playing... 5 years ago. Thank you very much. Great Job!
Sorry for the slow response, I was on vacation :) It does make it harder to do a nice vibrato when the strings are (too) high from the frets because they're constantly trying to bring themselves back to their original height. So when the strings are high, the 'resistance' is high as well. Is there anyway you can adjust the height yourself? I'm sure it would help :) Send me a PM if you have anymore questions :)
Thanks! You can't find tabs for the solo, because I improvised it on the spot.
The backing track is actually taken from a song by Frank Gambale, but I don't know its title unfortunately... If I do come across the name I'll let you know.
LOOOLLL!!! that was a priceless face u did at the end of the video Remi lol.. starting from like 1:42 till the end man that was a Kodak moment.. non the less thew the rest was pretty awesome man keep it up!!
Hi, yes it is pretty much in Em, but with a raised C ( C#) which means it's a Locrian mode. Except for the "chorus" part ( where I'm sweeping an ordinary C major arpeggio)
:) The last part is intended as a joke: I screwed that "take" up at the very first note. And because the camera was rolling anyway I made fun of myself that entire take by screwing everything up on purpose. So the last 20 seconds are from that take :)
haha! I'm still amazed by your playing...Absolutely amazing. Though, the last 20 seconds, seemed as if you were messing up on purpouse, just so you wouldn't seem like God. Finally see your face too! \m/
Thanks Alex! :) And the last 20 seconds are actually a small part of the first " take" which I really screwed up at the first note. So I decided to make fun of myself there, camera was rolling anyway :P

mucklboogie 4 years ago
The guitar is a Bo-El MC6 ( Marcel Coenen signature). I have an Ibanez too, but this one ourplays it :)
For recording I use a POD 2.0, Modern High Gain amp, some delay and some reverb. :)
