This river completely deserved to be protected. If you are not practicing no trace camping in areas like this you deserve to be ticketed. Some people think areas like this will always exist and we don't have to do anything to keep them. Sad really. All it takes is for some knucklehead to find a resource they can make money off of and then lie to everyone and say more jobs will be created then what really occurs. Now on to other rivers.
Protected does not always mean a good thing because what comes is Knuckle head federal cops from city;s like New York ready to ticket anyone with a camp fire, someone who breaks a twig or wants to piss in the brush !
In Alaskan every area that has some Federal protection is Policed by some Knuckle head Federal cop that is some animal rights whacko ready to ticket you for anything !
In some areas these fed cops just close off access to the Public for their own twisted ideas of saving the land.
