@ohtime im not trying to be mean im saying that (in MY OPINION) she looks like she has changed, and that i want to see her other side when she first started doing videos. Calm down. I have a life, no thanks.
I'm transitioning and I swear by the elixir, though I put it in before I flat-iron my hair and the shine (for me) is more apparent. I love their product line
Even tho yal say she rip through her hair, a lot of hair doesn't come out so her hair must be strong enough to withstand the combing, even tho I comb my hair like it's delicate lol. And for her to use so much heat her hair looks so freaking healthy
Ateya is silently going natural. All the products she has been using lately are for natural hair, and she knows it. More African American women are going natural and so is she. All I have to say to all the women out there who have permed hair and really believe in Ateya for guidance is that she is transitioning to natural and not really putting it out there. I am natural myself (once had a perm) and I just felt that she is somewhat lying to women with permed hair.
@aseviz06 are u sure about that cause she never stated that .. i dont think. Im relaxed and i use these products.. and i dont plan on going natural any time soon.. I use these products cause of the ingredients and more healthier.. i dont think there is such a thing as shampoo for " natural".. i think its just products for our hair type.. relaxed or natural
blow dry, flat iron n then curl lol i no i wud hadly have any hair left after a while......you should really do more rollersets or jus cut down on the heat....really

@frye126 I hate that stuff, the shea moisture products. it turned my hair into a greasy mess. But she might've liked them. I just find that my hair doesn't like shea butter. I think if your hair does well with shea butter you will like it, otherwise it will be both dry and greasy at the same time, just gross.
HI Ateyaa, I've just discovered your video's and I'm loving every minute of them. I too love the Shea Moisture Organic Raw Shea Butter Moisture Retention Shampoo and Shea Moisture Organic Raw Shea Butter Restorative Conditioner. I just did the big chop in June and these two products have proven themselves to be perfect for me. Thanks for confirming!
still yanking on that hair Ateyaa girl and with one hand no wonder you need to keep trimming oops i mean cutting your hair. for those sayin we dont like her methods, sometimes the truth hurts. am not her friend or a subscriber but i do enjoy her videos and she's not perfect jus like the rest of us and sometimes she does get it wrong like some of us. the best we can do is give an honest opinion again even if it hurts or offends, how else wud one learn
hey ms. ateya!about the conditioner thing,if there is water at the bottom of your plastic capTHAT IS NOT A GOOD SIGN. that means the conditioner may have been just aTEMPORARY conditioner not aDEEP conditioner like you wanted it to be,i assume.Usually if it can be used as a leave in,its not a good conditioner.btw, temporary conditioner(the ones that says 2-3 mins on it) only give the apperance of healthy hair but does not penetrates well.you should read the book ultra black hair. Hope this help!:)
I love Ateya's video's and everything but I really think when she applies the sew-ins in her hair, I think it really gives her hair some setbacks! Without braids I thinks her hair will be able to grow to BSL!
What gets me with some of the past and present comments are that people assume that all African American women desire long hair and that's far from the truth.I've had a short bob, mbl, sl, you name it and the length I enjoyed the most was my bob.Health over length for me.
@TikiTubeablez: That was the dumbest comment. If you were literate enough to read, not once did I defend Ateeya or mention her name I was talking about black women in general. LMAO..please find something better to do with your time and energy and stop wasting it posting garbage like this. Thanks : )
You cut your hair? This is a nice length. Your hair grows pretty quick so that's good to have the option. Your hair even looks soft after the wash. I need to try this
Beautiful hair. It's looking really healthy. I wish my hair could take that much heat. But it can't. Different head, different hair. Can't wait to see your review on Kenra Moisture Wash.
That elixir is really good for you to only have to use one pump and it put that much shine on your hair. I may have to try that out. Thanks for the information Ateyaaa.
She never refers to anything as a tutorial or a how to. I guess this is just how she does her thang. If you dont like it dont do it. I dont think this would work for me personally but I love to watch her videos and her hair looks fine so who am I to judge.
Hey, Next time you do this wash regimen, try rinsing out your deep conditioner and then applying your leave in and comb AFTER you put your leave in conditioner in your hair b/c kinky Curly Knot Today is an EXCELLENT detangler and tell us how you like it by switching your steps.
I'd rather have short thick hair than long thin hair..Some Gurus on youtube have have long hair & that nice but Thick hair is sooo much more beautiful .
"Shea, "she"regardless you know exactly what this woman means, you take the time out just to correct her on the mispronunciation of the word Shea(shay) instead of leaving a positive comment that follows is a clear indication that you're being rude and trying to be hurtful. Ateyaaa is going to keep on rocking no matter what you miserable, low life, haters say or think about her I am quite sure she looks better than the majority of who is leaving such thrasy comments... #haterskillurself... :)

Ateeya babes, you have to start using a heat protectant, especially since your blow dry, curl and flatiron. Love the bounce.... More natural hair vids~
@special907 It's a recommendation to keep all that hair healthy and beautiful. As Ateyya's hair grows, the old hair becomes very weak, so to encourage length as well as growth, I recommended a heat protectant.

S H A Y not S H E...I can't understand why you always mispronounce EVERY SINGLE PRODUCT u review...can you please do some research before attempting to review/rate/comment on products? Thanks
@soniablacksuga Whoa... That's not nice at all... I read her comment and yes, it wasn't said in the best way, but that's her comment. You want someone to go kill themselves because they have an opinion? Not cool. Ateeya's a big girl, by now, she's over the "hate". Don't waste your energy replying to nonsense.
Hey-so glad you did this video...I was just thinking about buying these products, I'm sold after watching you. Thanks for sharing and blessings to you!
Shea can be shay OR she. It's in the dictionary. So what if she keeps her hair that length? I use to keep my hair in a neck length bob. As for the negative comments, remember they talked about Jesus. So Ateya, just continue to be you ok?
I'm tired of the negative comments also. I feel as though if you do not like her or what she is doing then dont watch. She did not come here to be the youtube spokes person for relaxed hair she is on here sharing with us her hair care regimen , wigs, make-up , cooking whatever she chooses. I have not seen her once say anything negative about another youtube person. Not ONCE. Just like everyone one else on here she is a person sharing her life on youtube and she has that right.
Ateeya uses heat, she does not seem to oil her scalp or moisturise her hair everyday. She uses condition instead of deep condition, no heat protectant. BUT HER HAIR IS ONE OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL relaxed hair HERE ON YOUTUBE. It seems that she is the only black hair guru who is not obcessed by lenght but prefer to keep her hair in that beautiful bob . i am doubting about others technics.
@sisyglam But you also notice she is the one of the few black hair gurus that has to have constant trims because of all the heat she uses, therefore not retaining the length, I do not think she prefers to have it short, I think that she is not ready yet for the commitment i takes to start a healthy hair journey in order to keep the length. But its her choice Im not judging...to each his/her own.
@Citygurl27 why does it matter so much to you? You are suppose to trim your hair every 6 weeks any way. Plus some people don't want long hair. Maybe she likes it at that length.
@gemini850 It really doesnt matter to me, but you are the one who brought it up. and no you are NOT supposed to trim your hair every 6 weeks unless you are using heat. me personally i trim every time i texlax my hair which is every 6 months (and I have no breakage)
@sisyglam I mean, with her old regimen with aphogee and even her most recent change using Kenra, the line includes heat protectants and she does use protein treatments. Her hair is pretty healthy but I wouldn't discredit her that much, lol =)
@sisyglam I agree. It just depends on what you are looking for. Length or beauty. I believe you can have both but you may need to compromise the amount of time it will take to grow out the more heat you use.
Atyeaa ! your hair looks fabulous !!! i cut mine 4 weeks ago just below my jawline from collar bone length and im sooooo happy to have got rid of all my relaxed ends , i've been transitioning for a while now and those 5 inches of relaxed ends were making my life hell !! i just flat iron my hair and it always looks so bouncy, full and healthy looking now i wish you would consider the natural route it's so easy to maintain . Try a good heat protection serum for shine ie like your kendra gloss .
@modelchic413 i think the curly custard moisture cream made it dry looking i would not use that personally if my hair was relaxed or flat ironed i guess.
Yes ateya shea moisture is bomb.com. Try their thickening shampoo...I like it better than the moisture retention...its amazing!!!! And I use knot today as a leave in and I'm relaxed as well. Stay blessed. Oh yeah...love that beat!
@albeeinla Hi there, try using SeaBreeze scalp and skin tonic, as a Pre poo treatment to heal and repair your scalp. it worked wonders for my flaky dry scalp .
Looking nice as always I've been thinking once my hair grows back out to
Probably stay at shoulder no longer than apl but I don't know lol but I don't understand the ppl in there negative comments I sure would like to see there hair
At the end of the day I prefer health over length at least it's not long and thin like most I mean ppl come on get a life
your hair looks really soft and healthy...nice having the best of both worlds to change up when you feel like wearing a wig....or not. i tried their curl enhancing smoothie and my hair didn't agree with it so i never worked with the shampoo/condish maybe i'll give them a try when i run out of what i have
u should have used a heat protectant before flat ironing

@sisyglam you are so right!
LaLaLandBarbie 6 months ago
@sisyglam But you also notice she is the one of the few black hair gurus that has to have constant trims because of all the heat she uses, therefore not retaining the length, I do not think she prefers to have it short, I think that she is not ready yet for the commitment i takes to start a healthy hair journey in order to keep the length. But its her choice Im not judging...to each his/her own.
Citygurl27 6 months ago 14
@Citygurl27 why does it matter so much to you? You are suppose to trim your hair every 6 weeks any way. Plus some people don't want long hair. Maybe she likes it at that length.
gemini850 6 months ago
@gemini850 It really doesnt matter to me, but you are the one who brought it up. and no you are NOT supposed to trim your hair every 6 weeks unless you are using heat. me personally i trim every time i texlax my hair which is every 6 months (and I have no breakage)
Citygurl27 6 months ago
@sisyglam Her hair looks good, but it isn't healthy obviously.
TikiTubeable 6 months ago
@sisyglam I mean, with her old regimen with aphogee and even her most recent change using Kenra, the line includes heat protectants and she does use protein treatments. Her hair is pretty healthy but I wouldn't discredit her that much, lol =)
relaximdointhis 6 months ago
@sisyglam I agree. It just depends on what you are looking for. Length or beauty. I believe you can have both but you may need to compromise the amount of time it will take to grow out the more heat you use.

why is everyone crying about her cutting her hair? So what
KeiConcepts 6 months ago
Atyeaa ! your hair looks fabulous !!! i cut mine 4 weeks ago just below my jawline from collar bone length and im sooooo happy to have got rid of all my relaxed ends , i've been transitioning for a while now and those 5 inches of relaxed ends were making my life hell !! i just flat iron my hair and it always looks so bouncy, full and healthy looking now i wish you would consider the natural route it's so easy to maintain . Try a good heat protection serum for shine ie like your kendra gloss .
BlackRose938 6 months ago
wat happened to her hair? it used to look so nice... its looks dry, lackluster, and short now!!!
modelchic413 6 months ago
@modelchic413 i think the curly custard moisture cream made it dry looking i would not use that personally if my hair was relaxed or flat ironed i guess.
BlackRose938 6 months ago
what on earth happened? you cut your hair? because it is this same length as when i used to be subscribed to you 2 years ago :/
