Understanding religion and Christianity is not difficult. Even the simplest mind and the dumbest person can call himself a Christian and quote the bible.
Just because I don't believe the bible is the word of god, doesn't mean I do not understand it.
The earliest copy of bible is in possession of the orthodox church. So my guess is that their religion is the most accurate.

It depends on the scientist you talk to and whether or not they are like you - who want to be there on God, too. They use science but science has yet to disprove anything. they claim a big bang theory but can't say what came before the big bang. I say the big bang happened when God spoke everything into existence.

I'm not saying that science, (which I am highly likely to know more of than you) DISPROVES the existence of god, and neither is that my position when it comes to faith. However, science concludes that the existence of such a god as portrayed in any religious text is highly unlikely and based on absolutely nothing. So if it is highly unlikely, the logical position is to no believe. Which I don't. Or at least to conclude that trough this we know that gods existence is irrelevant.

Who is depending on other people to run their life and make decisions? What system are you talking about. That system doesn't exist.
But considering there are such things as natural unemployment and market fluctuations I think we have a responsibility to make sure that the social systems helps people to get new jobs in between these reocurances instead of just leaving them to die on the street.

Im working right now, busting my ass for 9 hours a day, and I was a US Marine and fought in Iraq in 2003, then i DIDNT use the GI BILL but came home and went STRAIGHT TO WORK! Imagine that shit! No handouts, he's given me a job yes, but I would be successful no matter, because I have the DRIVE TO WORK. And ohh yeah, I live in south MS, was IN hurricane Katrina and lost the home I lived in. NEVER got a dime from the gvmt, but got ALOT of help, wait for it...from CHRISTIAN GROUPS, thanks GOD :)
