i own a 2004 VTX 1300c.

Dyno tune

and lots of chrome.

its actually normal for the VTX to start high like this. the 1800's are worse about it.

if it gets worse, or to the point that revving it a time or two doesn't do it. get your vacuum lines checked. had that happen to me and had to change vacuum lines in panama city beach in the parking lot of the Sugar Sands.

i've always had a harley but i sold it. i just bought a 2007 vtx 1300 i love it. was tired of always buying parts for the harley. honda makes really nice bikes and they run for ever.

The VTX's aren't that loud from the factory. This one has aftermarket pipes. :)

the only disadvantage about 1300 line is their carburetors instead of FI ! is there a way to modify that, i mean is it possible to remove the carburetor and replace it with an FI ?

Not yet, but the new Fury has essentially the same motor, and has EFI. Somebody will figure it out...

Soundeds great! I was leaning toward getting HKs, but I'm thinking Cobras now. Did you put these pipes on yourself?

Sounded like there might have been a little condensation in the lines causing it to auto-accelerate.

My buddy who owns a 2001 Harley Davidson Heritage Classic with Vance and Hines longshots and he loves the sound of my Honda. He sold his 06' HD Dyna Street Bob and thought about getting a Honda VTX 1300 but got the Heritage Classic instead

That is waaaay too fast of an idle for no choke

I'm dead serious that the choke was off. Watch at :40 seconds it shows me looking at the choke because I thought that I had the choke on but it wasn't. It still idles fast when I stand up and if you notice that when I open the throttle it really dies down to idle. Weird but I just pulled it out from winter hybernation and placed my battery into the bike and started it up seconds before I did this video.

did you have the bike rejeted? I have a 1300c with long shots and it dosent sound that low at idle. I was wondering if you put block off plates on. Thanks.

The throttle was stuck partially open. Notice after he revved it up the idle went to normal...

It was most likely choked. That's also why you get the black smoke when he revved it the first couple times.

No choke! I had it running a little bit before I started it up, I just placed in the battery. So this is what it sounds like without the choke on!.
