Whipped cream.....heavy cream beaten until it's light and fluffy. Sorry if the definition of whipped cream was obvious, just making sure. Similar to ready whip, the stuff in the can that makes the "ssh" noise when you spray it. Hope that clears it up :)

It's like whipped cream, but it comes in a tub. As long as you get cool whip that is NOT in a can, it's basically the same. However, if it's in a can, it has added air pressure and it makes it too fluffy.

I've always made a 'vanilla' version of this (loosely called 'trifle'): pound cake with strawberry jello, vanilla pudding, whipped cream, strawberries...I don't know why I only ever make it on Boxing Day, because it's delicious!

In my opinion, though, real whipped cream is better than Cool Whip for this - and it doesn't take a lot of extra time...

i usually add about three times as much chocolate that brownie recipes call for. I always add extra chocolate to my recipes, even in devil's food or dark chocolate cake recipes. My favorite recipe is this chocolate explosion cake that's devil's food and has this amazing chocolate pudding topping that is fantastic when warm. There is absolutely no way this recipe could satisfy my love for chocolate.
