@oldiesrnow Hey Mel, isn´t it amazing? Gus was a Doowopper with the Del-Vikings:-) Two weeks ago we were in a Rock-a-Billy pub in Hamburg. Suddenly the DJ played "Honolulu Baby" by Gus Backus. Alle the Ted´s and Rock-a-babys danced and sang to Mr.Backus. It was great!
Did not know that this guy was briefly a member of the Del-Vikings, and later became a star in West Germany. Interesting.
