Sorrow is normal and healing comes with time. Time can seem an eternity....find peace in the very sunlight and every wonderous thing you see or feel. Your Julia is there......xxx
A favourite painting... that not only covered many 'points' but made bare walls beautiful... 3 yrs in the making... and still unfinished : ) It is what drew me to it... a never ending story.
@pattipie100 It was a genuine sentiment. I wish you well and feel better for doing so. Regards and well wishes this Sunday evening. I can be quite charming most days apparently : )
Today was a nice day... as was yesterday. Life is short... for many Patricia...and for me I'm happiest being me...kind and caring. I keep all my comments for my learning. Be well : )
@greg5566 "Dot" isn't singing. It's Bernadette Peters as herself. It's a concert of excerpts, not a performance of Sunday In The Park...They simply had Bernadette introduce the song.

Would be more beautiful and powerful if their sound wasn't so "wide" and smiley sounding. You could drive a truck into some of those mouths. Also, the final cut off was sloppy and out of tune. I know it's musical theater but come on! Sondheim's music deserves better.
LOVE THIS! Im playing Louise in my Universtiy prodction! Cant wait :)

The particular painting that inspired Sondheims work was a Seraut masterpiece, an especial favourite of an old pal of mine

Beautiful rendition of an incomparably beautiful song.
Oh, to have been there.
Tears rolling down my cheeks in front of my office computer...

Uh, why is Dot singing about painting?
greg5566 1 year ago
@greg5566
Dot is not singing about painting. Bernadette Peters is singing the song.

@1rewd1 Well, I don't know everything but I think Sondheim is fantastic and his music deserves the best.

Did she forget "Tension"? Still, this is such a beautiful performance of this piece.

It is Sondheim at his most perfect....ultimate genius.

Beautiful. Most of the cast, if not some, of "Sunday..." ARE the choir.

Sondheim takes so much from Serat" composition, design, balance, harmony that it has been an impisaration to him in his own musical artistry.
