As far as I know ornamenting the da capo isn't something you'd generally do with Handel (it's ornamented enough and adding anymore you move away from the original piece too much) I'm pretty sure stylistically she's correct and lets face it I'm sure she knows a lot more about sining than we do!

WOW! I'm pleasantly shocked. Who knew Te Kanawa could sing Handel so well, however, without any da capo ornaments. Maybe it was too much for her to learn. I'd definitely look for more Handel by Kiri. Just fabulous!

I am a staunch Handelian and a fan of Madam Kiri in Mozartean roles, but in this case this interpretation has a 10 for me. Wonderful interpretation.
