  • This movie just plainly rocks. I love being from Liverpool.

  • you been a naughty girl, ya let chuh nickuhs down ;) teehee.

  • this song is beast

  • BUKAKE!

  • 10 ppl r anit-social cuz they dont want to come together -__-

  • I have listened to this song literally dozens of times, but I just realized that the chorus has another interpretation. "Come together over me..." Bukkake much? O_o

  • @SuperDudes + @zoro112112 Nope...Never.

  • Great song, great cover, great movie, and an awesome karaoke song!

  • this song is so fun to sing

  • OK so i gotta say it just about every song in this movie completely obliterates the original sorry Beatles fans but its true

  • @SuperDudes21 sadly =( but true

  • @SuperDudes21 never, all the songs are pretty good, but that is not possible, sorry non-beatlesfans but it is not true.

  • i was so pumped to see Joe Cocker when i first saw the movie!

  • Lovely cover. Awesome film. Shut up and enjoy it for what it is.

  • Stupid controversy. Great song.

  • Badass!

  • @carolineflowers1 badass is the correct term!

  • @HighlyIllogical77 bein an "expert" doesnt give you any higher athourity to dictate if the cover is good or not bcuz no matter how much you know its still an opinion

  • @HighlyIllogical77 LMAO an EXPERT?

  • @HighlyIllogical77 fuck u everyone has an opnion

  • @HighlyIllogical77 no one cares that you are a self-crowned Beatles "expert."

  • @HighlyIllogical77 If you dont like it then you arent a Beatles"EXPERT". This is a fantastic, well put together cover of a fantastic song, not saying it is better than the original masterpiece in anyway, no sir, but definitely a cover worth listening to.

  • @HighlyIllogical77 and how are you an expert?????? your probably just a old man who rejects change i mean you name says it all

  • @italyrocks9720 i like your username. italy rocks! no doubt!!

  • @HighlyIllogical77 You want to know the funny thing? You aren't an expert. The Beatles are the experts, and guess what they loved this song and the rest of the songs from this movie, so please just listen to the music for what it is and don't overanalyze!

  • so fricking bad!

  • I'm not going to lie, I've never been a huge Beatles fan, and I don't really enjoy any of their original songs. But I love these covers. Let's not all tear me apart, alright?

  • @911poorman i'm in the same boat as you man. I dont really like the originals, but these versions from the movie are fantastic

  • I am 13...we had a talent show and me and my friends did this...I live in a hick town..this is a culture shock for them...and it was GREAT!

  • I like the original more but

this is the second best ive heard

  • c'mon guys, this version sounds better than the original song...

  • @luchin542 nothing will ever beat the Beatles originals. But its def. Second best

  • @Foreverbluesbaby its a hard decision!!!...

  • @luchin542 It's a hard decision whats better? Have you never heard the original? The Beatles are AMAZING! And Yes, this is a GRET version but it's the Beatles, They'll always be #1 at their own songs

  • Best musical ever :3

  • amazing!!!!

  • This version is second best to the original, and I love how they did it in the movie lol. Plus Joe's voice+this song is a great combo!

  • Soooo...... this is a musical about the Beatles?

  • @imthenervouswreckful Nope, this is a musical about love. The music is all beatles but it doesnt seem like the beatles exist in their world.

  • @kittey5212 and @imthenervouswreckful, I heard somewhere that the director (her name has escaped my mind) didn't want to even mention the beatles for...i think it was for, uhm, legal matters? Either that or so that the story line isn't based on The Beatles, but their music.

  • @imthenervouswreckful No. my cousin whos like 13 got into the beatles and showed me this movie...you'll like this movie theres a cute guy in it (Jude-Jim sturgess) and it is a great tribute. Songs are redone for copyright reasons and used to make a musical of a star-crossed, across-the universe, test of time love affair between Liverpools' Jude (hey jude) and Lucy (lucy in the sky with diamonds) and other friends with beatle-song names. They live in a interesting time in the 1960's.

  • @luciabeckett4 My 15 year old sister brought home the movie for me, a HUGE beatles fan. Best thing shes ever done for me

  • I Love The Beatles And THey Did A Good Job When They Remade Them I Love This Movie To One My Favorite Play Movies

  • мрак, а не версия...

  • the whole soundtrack is really good, a few songs are even better than the original

  • I like the added percussions in this track

  • sweet very sweet

  • i love the beatles version so much more but this one is still ok

  • actually MJ bought the rights

  • @therockero100 the entire beatles catalogue,,,

  • WELL YOUR WRONG!!

  • @sydnieraquel MJ made a cover, but it is originally a Beatles song.

  • wasn't there a pimp in this part? lol

  • @TheTimeOfRealClass yes yes there was lol

  • My favorite Song from this movie, I wish they would song DAY TRIPPER!

  • Homeless man singing : "Come Together. Right now. Over me"

  • @paul18271 homeless man is Joe Cocker

  • this version is alot darker, but i like it!

  • the movie's version sounds a lot better than the soundtracks... the electric guitar you hear in the bridges is too soft here... but its all good

  • yeah dude joe is white sorry lol

  • @toxicgerbil in the movie, its following a black man. Then joe shows up as a homeless man while he sings it. but the focus is a different guy, who is black

  • when this scene started, you see the black man going down the stairs, and i'm thinking he's singing, but POOF, THERE'S JOE COCKER, BEING HIS AWESOME SELF. <3 his voice is fantastic.

  • What greater thing is there for two human souls than to feel that they are joined... to strengthen each other... to be at one with each other in silent unspeakable memories.

  • I like the original much better than this version.

  • i think that they are equal

  • and i lov his wierd hand movements

  • That is actually how he sings, he cant do it without looking a little spastic, but yeah me too :)

  • hahaha, obviously no one who says joe cocker is the most amazing 'black person' voice, has seen the movie. :/

  • hahahahah of COURSE it is. wow.

  • omfg the guitar is awsome this betr than beatles themselves cus of the amazing distortion

  • The distortion is indeed very cool. But the percussion in the Beatles version with that "dominoes" sound totally gives be a hardon.

  • yeah joe cocker, blackest person ever, roflmaopwnedkthxbai

  • not black.

  • Comment removed

  • umm the guy who sings this is white! lol have u watched the video?

  • @hQhaze no your rite black ppl especailly men have great voices (:im BLACK:)

  • Is it me? or does black people have awesome voices :) ( IM ASIAN)

  • wow im sorry but you're really stupid. JOE COCKER IS WHITE.

  • @hQHaze did anyone bother to let you know that the person singing this (JOE COCKER) is white as white can be. But black people do have good voices, too; especially when they are singing the blues.

  • perfect deep voice, for such a deep song :)

  • out standing rendetion

  • Walrus Gumbo

    Ono Zygote

  • in the movie i like him as a pimp

  • i love this song it is funny in ATU

  • COME TOGETHER! ♥ :)

  • RIGHT NOW, OVER ME!

  • haha

  • best version of this song aside from the original

  • Joe Cocker has covered loads of Beatles songs, but i never heard him do this one till the movie.....and i must say....like always he never disappoints with his voice!

  • this song makes my day every time i listen to it

  • No, I think he did a really good job with this version. There are many singing styles. I think this one really works.

Of course, nothing tops the original, but the grittiness of his voice works.

  • I think the main genius of this movie is that the original arrangements weren't messed with much. The Beatles did it right the first time. "Because" blows my mind again, just like the original did! Wow!

  • i couldnt agree more. Because was so beautiful in their movie. and used in just the right part.

  • "Because" was like getting high off of sound

  • Oh, I know! Because is amazing.

And this whole movie did wonderful on the soundtrack.

  • your an ass

  • you just dont appreciate his style

  • see thats the thing about singing there are multiple styles....like smoother and then there is a little more gritty but it all fits a certain style of music perfectly

  • I haven't heard the beetles version but i really like this one

  • this is joe cocker! he's 65 and hes pretty much always had a gritty voice like that and its unfortunate that you want to kill him because of it,but, hey whatever floats ur boat

  • I don't like this version much, the beatles one is a lot better...

  • this is one of the few beatles songs i really like, but i don't really like this version...

  • i sung this as a solo song in a choir thing! i love it

  • long live the beatles

  • joe cocker very good!

  • I absolutely looooove this song, tre sexay <3

  • everything in ATU was REALLY GOOOD but of course nothing beats the orginial. but you gotta give them props. =]

  • This is really good, but I prefer the Beatles version. LONG LIVE THE BEATLES!!!

  • this movie was completely and utterly breath-taking.i like kris allens version of this too=]

  • is this version entirly joe cocker?

  • pretty much with the exception of the last hook

  • no its a production so its 1 long song...I'm the second 2 hey Jude...they r all from across the universe =) lyrical...come together is company lyrical...oops sorry i'm talking dance language =P

  • this is a lyrical dance this year! sweetness! in my group too it's company i think

  • oops, sorry i meant to give you a "thumbs up" my bad--sorry!!!! good luck with it tho. are you in the program for it?

  • I like both versions equally, it all depends on the mood. This has a more blues tune to it so I tend to listen to it more. I like the blues :)

  • i lovee this sonngg! i still need to hear the beatles version tho :)

  • i like the beatles version better but they did and exelent job in atu

  • Beatles...Not A Damn Band Like 'Em...

  • I love this song and all other beatles songs :]

  • Come together, right now, come together, over me... WOW!

  • amazing (:

  • I still like the Beatles' version of this song better, but they did a good job with it. Especially the visuals as well as the music.

  • omg this song is awesome and i dont usually listen to this kind of stuff :P

  • you bet

  • this is one of my favorite songs by them.

this movie really did well with it.

    :DDD

  • They Improved this song So much better so it is more emotinal than when the beattles did it

  • Fab!

  • I still like Aerosmiths version the best

  • me too :)

  • haha wow -3 for having an opinion, jesus.

  • Same here, man.

  • who is the hobo in the movie that sings this song?

  • its the guy who originally sings this song.

  • etdamannyking I would not Diss one of the best on earth

  • It's Joe Cocker

  • Joe [Cocker} unfortunately, did not age well. He was at very first unrecognizable. But into the first verse of the song, I knew the unmistakable voice. That has only "mellowed around the edges". [he must have switched from Johnnie Walker Red, to Courvoisier since his heyday]

  • I LOVE THIS SONG!!

  • MY FAV MOVIE!!!!!

  • This is a great movie!! And to top it off it had joe cocker. the only other singer/singers they could get for this movie from that era are the actual beatles lol.

  • Luv this version. CHECK out my reggae version. GO JOE COCKER!!!

  • i think it was intentional that he was out of time at the beginning..

  • Geeze, don't shoot the messenger...

Thanks for posting this strokes! This is one of our songs in our marching show next year. ^_^

  • not really their songs are so different from each other that i don't he pull all of them off

  • Joe Cocker can cover any Beatles song he likes, he's THE MAN!

  • I totally agree. Have you heard him sing With A Little Help From My Friends? Amazing.

  • He is EH-MAZING. Take it from a Canadian, lol
