its harmonics, lighty place your fingers on the strings then pic them and release, its all about timming but once you got it, it sounds great, gd luck !

yeah i agree, it is an open tuning. but its hard to tell when there are so much open tunings. but the music is really beautiful. alternate tunings are beautiful. Here are some tunings that i find really great in open e are a are g. (Low to high) Open D DADF#AD Open G DGDGBD Open E EBEG#BE Open A EAEAC#E and then there is DADGAD Tuning Try them out. there nice sounding and fool around with them.

C#G#G#D#G#C#. it is FCCGCF with the capo on the 4th fret and it is allot like DADGAD. i came across it while tuning my guitar with the capo on the 4th fret experimenting if you will but it is very fun to play around with
