Like the room. I liked your map idea. I think I will get some and put it up on the wall too, I have to get three different state because we live right on the border of Michigan, Indiania and of course I live in Ohio, but I think this is a great idea. Made me think that detailed maps of differnt parts of the US would not be a bad idea, never know if plans change where you might be going. Love your videos and Hoping to see your Episode three of Dooms day Preppers review posted soon.
hey man 7.62x39mm herters ammo (20 round box) is only 4 dollars this weekend at cabelas. just lettin you know cuz thats a pretty damn good price. 100 round for 20 bucks; i think yes. win.
Where's your water purification kit? Where is the solar recharging plate to power your batteries? Where is all the dried food? why have 3 guns instead of an all-in-1 weapon? where's your portable generator with extra liters of gasoline? The extended EHBO closet? :p
I'm european, don't believe the choas day will come... but hey, it might ( I did enjoyed watching this)
Idea for the 5 gallon buckets... Pull out one or more of your dressers and place the buckets behind them. Not only will they be out of the way but safe as well for longer term storage.
@1046fireman I started out with a fridge that went bad on us. Put it out in the garage and stored food in it, in coolers, until this room became available to use. You are so right, no need to be fancy, tactical etc and so on. Thank you.
I was in the process of slowly transferring my purified water from gallon jugs to the 2 liter soda bottles because I guess the milk jugs will leach, but then I thought about it, and I'm gonna need water to take hobo baths with, so the gallon jugs stay for sanitation and dish washing, and 2 liters for cooking and drinking.
@Prepper7 ... I worry less about the leaching effects of the "milk type" gallon jugs and worry more about them springing a leak. I had 2 leak within 6 months of purchase. What a mess!
@Prepper7 I still use milk jugs but I use them as giant ice cubes lol. I put them in my freezer for extended power outages, my food has a better chance of keeping cold until I can do what needs to be done.
@kcirdrab He is organized. He and when he wants to put a quick charity basket together for a neighbor, he will be good to go. Anyways, I think he demonstrated a great way to make better use of old furnature than storing clothes that no longer fit.
My drawers got to be too heavy, so my approach changed. I admire anyone for showing others how to prep at the different phases. Most folks have old dressers. This is a great video for newbies.
@kcirdrab Minimum effort. Money wise, I don't pay full price on anything. We hit a financial skid not long after this video and having the extra food back, kept me from doing full grocery runs, saving us until we pulled through the worst of it.
@Drumybum Meh, I could care less, I started this before any "list" came out. If someone thinks this is my main B.o.O.'s then by all means, help themselves to it, cause I would have already left for one of my other locations, (two no longer exist on any "modern" map.) Supposedly you're on a list if you are a devout Christian too. Should I abandon my belief as well? I guess we should be afraid of the "fema camps" that don't exist too lol.
DO YOU CONSUME ANY OF THIS FOOD FROM TIME TO TIME BECAUSE IN DOES TEND TO GO BAD EVEN AFTER A COUPLE OF YEARS, CERTAIN THINGS LIKE COOKING OILS CHANGE THEIR COLOR AND TASTE FUNNY AFTER A WHILE. ANYWAY GREAT VIDEO
@WOWSERSWILL There isn't a particular event or scenerio like alot on here. I prep to be prepared for anything. I'm more a natural disaster guy since that has what I have been through. Financial times are tough and I am glad I did put back because there has been times we have had to use some of the stock. So it's there for hard times.
I thought I was the only one that used furniture for food storage LOL! Before our "room" was born I figured up that I could literally store 320 cans of food in our entertainment center in the living room. Storage space is everywhere! Thanks for the video!
ive got lots of food storage but havent bothered with storeing any water cause ive put a hand pump on my water well so even without power i can still get all i need but your storage room is looking good ive got to go into my storage room and sort out everything and move a bunch of the stuff around im hopeing to clean out our pantry this weekend and refill it with food instead of my tools that should free up lots of space for us
Good video - A week ago I bought some solar panels from the website Solar Penny SolarPenny their prices are better than online at other companies or eBay. If you are looking for low cost solar I recommend them for any preppers on a budget. The employee I spoke with also is concerned about the future and is a good guy to talk to for ideas.
@EastTennesseePrepper ya lol it's still good tho! I'm using it as we speak. like ur vids man. thank God for the life u went thro. it helped me. :) God bless you man!
Watch out on those gallon Jugs of water - They don't do so well for long term storage - i had several fail at the seam - The PET bottles should be fine though
@SergeiSimonov1945 Yea, the solid milk one never gives me any troubles, I'm fixing to end this problem this week. Heading outside of Knoxville to pick up a load of 55 gallon water barrels.
Looks like you converted an old video cabinet into an ammo stage cabinet. Looks good. Can the shelves handle the ammo weight or is it just stacked in from the bottom?
I don't have a room to store stuff in, but I did find a good way to get a bit more space. The big box home improvement stores sell plastic cabinets for storing deck kind of stuff. They work great for bulking items like TP.
norinco chicom sks....love them :) built off the same equipment that the russians made them with.Nice room... right now all I have is a lrg closet....trying to take over the extra room ;)
@scodurh I traded for that chinese sks. Guy wanted my pistol....which was a Hi-Point 9mm. I tried to talk him out of the trade and everything. He insisted, so how could I pass it up??
@EastTennesseePrepper I would have done the trade also...I like that you tried to talk him out of his bad choice....it shows what kind of guy you are. cant blame you for his choice!I have a nice MAK90...I felt luck getting it . love the chinese stuff its cheap well made arsenal weapons ... I would love to get a norinco 1911 and a sks
@macfin88 So far so good, I lost one out 16 but yes I don't trust them. Most jugs like that go in our freezer to prolong our freezer if an extended power outage happens.
@oaktreega I feel your pain. We have stuff everywhere, now we have this room and hopefully I can do some damage. Room is smaller than ideal for me, but ya make do with what you have right?
Cool video
