I feel ya' brother. I've had my dreads for 15 years. I recently cut off 12 inches this past year, but their still shoulder length and beautiful. Anyway, what I hate is when someone stops me out of the blue gives me a compliment about how beautiful my hair is then turn around and snub up their nose saying "oh but I could never do that to my hair, to much of a commitment." Oh yeah, well who asked you in the first place you moron. Okay...yeah...so that just really pisses me off.

I just started my locks, its been almost 2 months and I tried a daring style (i guess u could call it that) it was a small bump with my hair in a ponytail and i could've sworn i heard some black girls in the dining hall saying that they would have to be paid $20,000 to look like that. ...yea, never met them in my life and thats what i hear.

The touching is I believe my most irratating point. I understand people want to know how they feel but to me my hair is an intimate part of me and I don't like everybody having their nasty hands all up in my locs.

But I will say this when ppl ask you questions no matter how dumb they may seem take it as a blessing that they asked you so that you may now enlighten them with the truth.

And tell your boys they haters cause I love men with locs.
