This is the first time I've seen someone who mains Ultimicia. I didn't know she could be so good but then again any character can be good in the right hands. I main OK so I can vouche.

Her lack of reliable HP attacks is what most annoyed me. At least now anyone can chain an HP attack after a O hit.

@RPGSaga Yeah I agree with that. She had to rely on mindgames to kill or very situational combos (Knight's Arrow -> Shockwave Pulsar is fairly hard to land.) I remember I had a 45 minute Squall vs Ulti in a tourny and I only lost because I couldnt chip Squall's HP enough to kill him.

yikes! 45 mins!? that must have a hell of a fight. anyway, neither squall or ulti had very good hp attacks in those days, huh. I invite you to see some of my ulti fights i have uploaded. currently only 1 from 012, but planning to upload more in a touthe next days

@AxcelTheBrawler He's very hard to use and even though everyone thinks he's cool they never use him lol. There are like 4 good Golbez mains in DFF compared to the millions of Cloud/Squall mains

LOL at the banish spear loop. hmmm. I don't know if her axe's priority changed but I could see spear guard + charged axe and uncharged arrows as a viable strategy for this matchup?

@XZoneCiderpowered I actually took Axe off in the air since I find Swords to be a better keepaway attack and Spear as a good poke/shield. Arrows is a no-brainer as a keeper since she needs something to link to her HP's and to spam at long range.

I'd imagine charged axes being more effective than usual against D.Chaos simply due to the size of his hitbox. of course this is pure theory since I don't have 012 yet. does charged axe still have high priority and guard crush?

@XZoneCiderpowered Charged Axe is the same as before, it just spins slower I think. What you say makes sense but I'd rather go for 2 keepaway attacks against D.Chaos because his melee pressure is pretty BS (like seriously, every attack is unblockable? wtf?) Not to mention Spear + chase is so important in DDFF
