A car is more than speed. No matter what the kids might say, a GT-R is never going to go down in history as a great achievement, nor does the badge makes it any good.

I'd rather have the slowest car with some history behind than have a Nissan. A Nissan makes you feel like a Japanese computer geek, while a supercar (which the GT-R is not) makes you feel special, makes other people smile and makes you enjoy every trip.

Those numbers beat the 997GT2 and GT3s ring lap times regardless. Not to mention, that was a factory spec GT-R, not even the V-spec. also worth noting the GTR weighs over 300kgs more but has between 100-200hp less than its closest rivals in time. and at about a 1/10th of the price.
