Aikido is not for ring fighting and it does not work without striking. Traditional martial arts are for self defense against multiple attackers and people with weapons. If someone is going to stab you would you rather know this or MMA techniques. Traditional martial arts teach you how to use weapons so if you are 130 pounds you can kill or cripple larger or multiple opponents. I started studying different martial arts for a month or two and I saw the real and fake in different systems.

The point of practicing a martial art is to stay alive in a real live street fight against people armed with weapon (but guns) or 5 against 1confrontations.

Hulk hogan or other westlers could be very devastating in a MMA fight, they have all the requied panoply, grappling, boxing, submissions etc...

someone of the same level in ninjutsu would probably beat him though. Aikido is designed to take on someone who has a very forward punch. i.e street fighters, but ninjutsu's stances teach you to sit back, so Aikido doesn't really work well against it.
