  • Can he get cancer and die now, please?

  • @Powell101 You're a nasty cunt, aren't you?

  • @Powell101 I've seen you post on a lot of Will Self's YouTube videos. :)

Does intelligence irritate you? Do you feel an irresistable esurience for the facility to comprehend and explore only to find a stellar-scale, bleak (growling too, if we're sticking with the whole 'hunger' theme) portal into your pitiful state of existance? Is that why you despise those who simply 'think out loud'?

    Just curious.

  • Self is far less imposing in person that his media persona would suggest. There's a tangible appreciation for his audience who's interest and money sustains his writing. Self's countenance was devilishly unique, a diabolical alchemy of Postlethwaite and prehistoric magnificence. At once ugly and good looking, a veritable polymath exploring the depths that commercial literature dare no delve. Along with Ellroy, Self presents one of the most engrossing and honest encounters for readers.

  • @duran75, You seem to be suffering from excessive vocabulary syndrome, perhaps reading too many of Will's books!

  • Will Self is a cross between Peter Greenaway and Pete Townshend. Also:

See Fellini's stunning CASANOVA, and see another 'alias' of Mr Self in the role of the VERY debauched French nobleman who dresses up as a lecherous insect

  • "and yet tittering, at the same time" and it's the charm in that delivery that makes me love Will Self.

  • Just had a copy signed by the man himself!

  • @Cholmeleian Cool, I'm going to see a reading of his in november, is he a nice bloke? Also, was the book for sale at the venue, and if so, how much ? Sorry for all the questions.

  • @TheDensley7, I thought he was an interesting character, surprisingly articulate. I've always liked his persona so I thought he was a good bloke. A selection of his books were available at the venue, with a small discount on this new one.

  • @Cholmeleian I'm looking forward to reading it, he is so under valued as an author.

  • @Cholmeleian

    surprisingly articulate?

  • Out today!

  • Yeah, same here. Getting a dribble on from reading that synopsis.

  • Excellent - looking forward to it.
