Actually nb1255, it was produced, conducted and arranged by Thom Bell, the legendary Philly producer who did songs for the Spinners, O'Jays, Stylistics and many other great R&B groups from the 70s. Elton had always wanted to work with Bell and the Spinners (who sing background on this tune). This song appears on an EP called "The Thom Bell Sessions" released in 1979. The top 20 hit from that EP was "Mama Can't Buy You Love" which was a pretty catchy tune, but not up to Elton's standards.
