UNC and KU are wo they are today because of the connection with each other. We share a connection most other big time schools do not have. We have a bit of one with Rupp, but no one really likes them :)
SO i say lets celebrate our closeness as it is an advantage over the rest of the NCAA
And the Big 12 wasn't very strong this year, but next year is going to be sick. How did last year feel for UNC folks? Granted, KU isn't in the hunt anymore but going 27-8 after losing all of our starters... Pretty impressive! If they had all stayed, I guarantee they would have won the championship easily this year. Hansbrough is a clown, and that showed last year in the Final Four. He doesn't get his way and bitches. Thank you, come again!
UNC 2009 natl champs is something for us to be happy about but you know what is a riot? that both dook/ku enjoyed s16 exits and the team you lost to TWICE during the season we beat like a drum TWICE rock chalk gayhawk haterz
Well 5>3 says it all not to mention your program has benefited greatly from UNC grads and folks from the great state of North Carolina. Also that first title is Kansas free in the good way......
how the hell does Kansas benefit from UNC grads and people from North Carolina? I think you got that mixed up dumbass. UNC and pretty much every other Div-1 NCAA basketball college benefits from KU and Kansas
We benefited from UNC? Larry Brown? Roy Williams? Without a connection to Smith we might not have gotten them, plus smith wears Carolina Blue to a 1952 Championship reunion in Allen. SO i think it is safe to say Dean Smith is a UNC man, then a jayhawk. Danny Manning was from North Carolina, and i think he has no connection to Smith in anyway. Without Danny we don't win either championship, his coaching of the bigs that year was what set us apart.
I'm sure if all of the other teams in the '08 Final Four returned almost all of their starters, that they would have a good chance of winning the national championship, like UNC did. Kansas lost all five of their starters. Memphis lost Rose and CDR. UCLA lost Love and Westbrook. A sweet 16 exit that KU almost won, is extremely respectable considering that they only returned two excellent players, Aldrich and Collins.
Roy gave KU a lot of really good years.

Roy Williams is from NC and Larry Brown went to UNC and played there. Larry Brown won a title at KU and Roy kept you relevant.

@verbalhigh
And where did Dean Smith come from?
BikiniBabe1985 2 years ago
Kansas obviously I guess that means KU is responsible for UNC's success even if it greater then your own huh? whatever you gotta tell yourself.

I already answered this question and I never said UNC didn't benefit from KU but so did every other program.
