my dad and my step mom divorced when i was 5 and i lived with my dad and made so many friends. but I always wonder about my step mom and I remember her. I just wanna see her face or if she got remarried or anything. The only things I found were some stuff about houses online but I can't do anything with that since it says they sold it then bought it then sold it again so nothing I can do. I only knew her first name so what I did was I searched my fathers name and found her last name. Thats it.
Do you know anything about your background, such as the town you were born in? If so, that can be a starting point for finding the information you want without going through the agency.
@EuphrasieF yeah i was born in Milford Delaware. but i guess i could go to the hospital i was born and get information? would they just give it to me? i am over 18
I don't know why people keep saying "back then it was shameful" It is still considered shameful today. People just don't admit as much because they don't want to be looked at as intolerant, but these women are still looked down upon. They do have more government help which is good, but I don't think society has really changed that much. If I were a teenager in high school today, I would be embarrassed to be an unwed mother and that people would call my child a bastard. Sad but true.
My Mother Gave Me Up for The same Reason...It Is true It Was Considered a Crime And The Pressures must Of been Massive For you to Do The Right Thing.....By Evil societies Customs you were Victimised...
you call this lady a heartless bitch how dare you, you know nothing , during the sixties there was no unmarried mothers allowances or help and it was considered to be a bad thing to have a baby if you were not married she did not have a choice, babys were actually draged from some of the young mothers. and they were forced to sign the papers.read your bloody quran you are to have compassion for people not hate some muslim you are, dont condem other people look at yourself first
What if this happened to one of your women what then smartass, and dont say it wouldnt happen to one of them I know two it has happened to. You are a waste of space.
quran? where does hudfadz say she/he is muslim? jig678 maybe you should take your own advice and don't pre-judge someone. obviously hudfadz has little life experience and compassion. it's too bad he/she wasn't adopted by a more tolerant and loving family. jig678 made heart-less comments. it's very sad to think what might have made them that way.
read the profile anti jewish Australian muslim, check out the details before you also make a comment, I am also adopted so know from experience not just hearsay my compassion go to this lady and her daughter not to someone who can just say if the mother can eat and survive so can the baby. Stupid comment would you say. Nothing has made him her this way thats just what they are.
did you miss the other cmment from hudfadz as to why would you give your baby away and calling the lady a heartless bitch who can have sympathy or even empathy for someone like that
iso Steven. He was adopted from little city in Palatine Illinois by a nurse working at little city .He was said to have childhood schizophrenia. If anyone has any info contact this screen name
i don.t understand, why woman don.t take pills if they can.t raise theyre child, why to get breagnent at all,if you gonna give him/her away or gonna make an abortion???
So many people give kids up for adoption or have abortions not because they want to, but because they fear what society will say.
The prejudice toward single mothers from family, religions, work places, has to stop.
It is interesting that countries with more tolerance toward single mothers and better work benefits & day care help for working single mothers, have lower rates of abortion and kids given up for adoption.
If someone really feels the best way to give their child a great up bringing is by giving them up for adoption - then I think that is great and should be supported. They are being a good parent by recognizing that they themselves, for whatever reason, can't care for the child.
But when someone gives a child up for adoption because of societies prejudices, then something is wrong in the world. And the person will naturally miss their child
Thank You Shar for sharing your story. My mother was just reunited with my eldest siter after a closed adopttion seperated them and us for 43 years. But God is so Good, and orchrasted the most wonderful reunion., our video is posted under the title, Closed Adoption Reunion.
