  • If you have ever danced to this song at the Fridge in Brixton on a Saturday night in the early 90's either in the front row of the stage hitting a beach ball into the crowd or atop the scaffolding high above the crowd then you too know what an unbelievable song this can be!

  • Love it!!!

  • a bonafide classic....takes me back to the 7th grade when I first heard it on Bombay radio.

  • haha thats right you know the score!

  • Silvio, you are the best thing...!!

  • Does anyone have any info on the black woman who appears throughout the video? She's beautiful.

  • Damn, I was only in Year 5 at primary school when this was first released. I remember I heard it on a cassette tape my parents got me for my seventh or eighth birthday, called 100% Dance 3.

Aah, hearing this takes me back to more innocent, happy times. Goddamn, I love nostalgia sometimes. I just want to hug my childhood. Or something.

  • reminds me of a wedding went to in manchester, the brides mothers hat ended up on a big spinning fan in the reception.Happy days!!hat might still be there, lol,

  • i love this tune!! my wife says i am gay!!!

  • Brian Cox has had an amazing career

  • Oh THANK YOU ! I have this clip on video..but thanks for uploading.

  • great song! reminds me of being young and not so innocent

  • One of my favorite tunes when I was in the 6th grade!!!!

  • This was a wicked tune. Reminds me of a simpler time (Primary School). Those were the days when music was proper wicked. D:Ream kicked 12 kinds of arse (musically).

  • i hear brian cox-the keyboard player-is a professor, wonder what peter is doing now? i do recall him talking in recent years about how he was a bit of an obnoxious t~~t for a while. whatever, this is a superb song!

  • Well he's a doctor anyway. He's a particle physicist and works at CERN. I was at a lecture by him and he had a tv show on BBC this year.

  • Yeah I interviewed Brian Cox when I worked for a local newspaper in the 90s. He talked science stuff. I didn't understand a word he said. Thanks to this You Tube page, I've only just put 2 and 2 together though and realised he was the CERN guy from this year's telly! Shows how much I remember him.

  • This is my ringtone Lol

  • remember this song when on holiday in majorca with mates.very big in the clubs that summer and still a good track now.

  • My sister dated peter and he was a twat back then, dread to think what he's like now.....

  • Brilliant hit for all those who don't remember it!

Reminds me of the time when I was 9, 10 or 11 at Sladen Middle School, Kidderminster, Worcs, UK, 1992-1994!

I remember this tune having such a hold on me, and it still does today whenever I play it through good times or bad. Takes me back...

  • This is a brilliant tune. And music of today is shite!

  • 62,000 YouTube Hits is Not Great This Track is good but relatively old :)

  • any idea of the name of the female vocalist?

  • I don't know the girl in the clip but Rita Campbell (London) did a lot of the vocals for this band on the album and did some touring as well. She's the bomb, really great voice and very versatile. Done heaps with Stonebridge, Brand New Heavies, Hed Kandi, Chris Bangs etc, etc, Hope this helps!

  • And to think the keyboardist Brian Cox now works on the Large Hadron Collider!! Wish I did this during my university years!

  • and to think cox wasn't even in D:REAM then?

  • Great song. I remember this from my childhood!

  • My wife and I fell in love to this song. :)

  • wicked

  • What a fantastic upbeat but still astonishingly heartfelt song ... it just goes under my skin!!!!

  • goosebums... I love this song !!!

  • I'm not that big on dance music, but this song is the bomb. good memories of the mid 90s

  • Why do great tunes like this (at the time)only reach about 4 or 5 in the charts? And annoying, awful, warbling shit like Rihanna's "Umbrella"(nowadays) is at No.1 for like a month?

  • i love this song:)!

  • i love this song:)

  • I can remember dancing to this song at all the clubs in DC. Great memories.

  • tunes like this just dont happen twice what a tune thanks for the memory happy days

  • Maybe im looking back with rose-coloured glasses but music was so much better in the 1990s than the trash on the radio at the moment.

  • I can assure you its not the rose-coloured glasses. It really was so much better in the 90s.

  • true!!!

  • Music was definitely better back then. I think that it was more innocent as well.

  • The Keyboard player Brin Cox went into science and studies black holes, he is one of the advocates for Hadron Collider near Geneva.

  • I have Let's Hear it for the 90s which has a cover version of this song, but it was listed as "YOU'RE the best thing"... no wonder I couldn't find this song before.

    There were 5 songs I hadn't heard of before(CD1: Songs 1, 3, 5 - CD2: songs 9-10), so I thought I'd look them up. One more song to go :)

  • I have wanted to find this cong for years! Loved it much more than 'things can only get better'. I am so happy now you've made my day!

  • Ahhhhh - the 90's and teenage years, come back please all is forgiven.

  • So true, so true. 90's were awesome

  • Thanks lalala020 for posting this

  • This song always reminds me of a mouthy girl at school going on and on about her boyfriend singing it to her and how he'd bought her the single! Turned out that the boyfriend was imaginary! Bless her! Nevertheless the song was and still is great! LOL!!

  • Or George Dubya bragging that Cliff Richard is also an arsehole...

  • Who gives a fuck whether hes gay or not... You dont hear Bin Laden bragging that Cat Stevens is a Muslim....

Great tune. The rest of you shut the fuck up... lol.

  • A great song. brings me back to when i was sixteen. where have the years gone a song you have to play over and over again

  • There are some songs that you wish you had been old enough to REALLY appreciate at the time. This is one of them...

  • Classic, 14 years ago at Gay Pride in London, Peter Cunnach set 100,000 Plus alive, classic day.

  • You idiot. This is such a gay song. And you really think the singer is straight? CLUELESS!!! Gay soap box, lol.

  • bluedragon4, what makes a gay or straight song???? Does the fact that a gay person singing a song automatically thrust it into a gay status???? this confuses me when people try to classify a song as straight or gay, if a song is great and has fantastic lyrics and a nice mellody, who gives a flying f... its GREAT MUSIC.

  • Hovebeachboi, did you happen to catch when Bananarama kicked him in the privates during an arguement at that Gay Pride? Classic story!

This truly is one of the decade's 10 best dance/pop tunes!

  • That was DANCE music..can't rememeber how many times I used to play this one. Reminds me of the many underround afterhours circuit in L.A. I loved it then, and still do (even w/o being high as a kite lol!)

  • lol........reminds me of being under bed covers shooting up a women

  • Haha, I don't know why your comment got so many negs. I would have plussed it, but you've had too many thumbs down, I'm afraid.

Anyway, your comment tickled me, at least. Carry on!

  • nice song...timeless

  • I loved it when I was thirteen...

Again and again I recognize how early I knew which songs belong to the dance classics. Amazing!

  • I was i was old enough to hear this in clubs back then.

  • I preferred the Sasha mix. I have fond memories of dancing to that, off my face at Labyrinth club, London.

  • how did it only reach no 24?! i was only 7, cant even imagine bein that young now, used 2 b one of my favourite songs...ah the memories...good northern irish group 2 btw! :)

  • fooking quality track, Circus Circus Banbridge lets here ya's, yeeeeeoooooooh...

    The video is also great:)

I wonder what happened to them...

  • I had a dream about this song last night and had to come and find it - lol. Or should that be a D:ream? Anyway, class track.

  • This was music. Music in the early 90,s was much more well written than nowadays

  • Class tune.

  • At the time of its release, this was - let's be honest - just another dance track; good but not great. Compared to today's dance music though, it's f*cking superb. Says it all really.

  • classic group

  • Can't believe this only reached #23. Should have been in the top 10 at least!

  • i agree what a waste he was never noticed just how good he was and probably still is

  • It possibly just wasn't marketed well enough .... happens to a lot of songs that under-perform when first released , then chart highly later on .

Classic 90s tune , has to be said =0D

  • I think in 6/94 he reached #4 in the UK. I looked on a chart homepage.
