Good news! Sanyo announced marketing of Eneloop bicycle in US. (Sep-23-09)
From the photo, it has heavier duty frame(for bigger people) than Japanese model and the front basket seems to be optional(bummer!). It says it carries *suggested* retail price of $2300.-(ouch!). But I think actual price will be lower(let's hope).
