Saw these guys on the Construction tour at Sheffield City Hall - Best gig I've ever been too, and I'm including Joe Strummer and the Mescaleros and Stiff Little Fingers in that list!!
I rememember when the bass thing died or Rob if you cared,it all became a touch sterile but remembering my first gig at liverpool poly 88 this fucking band were awsome.
WADS 69 did you see then sup parting big country at the poly in liverpool that was the first time i ever saw then play live we wire at the Barr wen they can on stage wow this band is awsome i was a big wonder stuff fan from that day on
Spot on. Rob WAS the Groove Machine. Can't count the number of times I saw this lot. First may have been supporting Balaam & The Angel or All About Eve, or some goth band. Certainly the best was with PWEI at The Powerhouse in B'ham. They were both 'crap', if anyone remembers... ;-)

One of there best, just read on another Stuffies video comment tonight that Martin Gilkes the Drummer died a few years back. He had a great style.

Aye...Gilkesy died a couple of years ago in a motorbike accident. :-(
Will always remember his bit in the video they released "Shut up, Grow up and get off the fucking car" :-)
