umm i never seen the "chicks being tossed about on a conveyer belt one before" it points them out with less specific detail. if you know about this stuff you can easily point things out. like chicks and chickens being carelessly tossed about. and left to die and rot. being packed into tiny cages, being driven insane from it. never being attended too not even giving their cages a cleaning.
@theonlyzdog this is when they sort the males out in a battery hen house. The males then get tossed into garbage cans, they are left to suffocate, get gassed, or put through a wood chipper like machine (alive). Males are useless to them, they do not lay eggs...
To be honest, i think just showing that is enough to kick people in the teeth and make then see the wider picture - if not then... they need some help :/
I mean, the chick thing at the beginning really got to me personally. I live ona farm, but every animal of ours is loved and cared for - as well as treated nicely and free range. :)
makes me laugh, peoples initial responce to these videos is that the animals arent looked after.. lol
we cut them into hundreds of tiny pieces, cook and eat them... so why does it matter?
all i ask is that the producers of the food are honest, and dont add stuff in to "bulk" up the meat... ill pay by the weight, but i dont like paying for added water..
What matters is how you treat animals while they are alive.
You don't like paying for the extra water, but you are okay with supporting a system that treats animals this way? You're okay with ingesting animals that lived and died as if they were no more than factory inputs? You're okay with ingesting poo with your animal flesh?
if i was hungry, id happily walk into a field, and beat an animals head in with a brick or mallet, or axe or something... cut it to bits, wash it, cook it and eat it..
so it doesnt really bother me if animals are bred in boxes cages or tiny dark sheds...
i dont eat processed meat much (burgers/sausages/readymeals/reformed meats/supermarket ham etc..) but when i eat chicken and meat, it annoys me that the "added water" content is evident in the pan after cooking..
@daavedave And this is okay for you - "abusing someone or something's life"? For what? Your greed, hunger and selfishness? Unfortunately for you, daavedave, people are waking up to the fact that eating meat is not only cruel, it's unhealthy. And I'd wager a full months salary that you wouldn't have the slightest ounce of courage to "happily walk into a field and beat an animals head in with a brick..." Admit it, you're scared of what you don't know about your food and of your own ignorance.
@isaschloegl fine, ill be a vegetarian, ill eat you... save the animals eat isaschloegl instead..... in not really that sure what you mean about my ignorance,, id wager a full years salary that i know more about what im talking about than you do... go suck on a lettuce (organic-homegrown one obviously)
YUMMY YUMMY delicious pigs, cows, chickens this remind me i have some non-free range food BECAUSE ITS CHEAPER and the quality is the same i gonna go cook me some bacon
@TheRedNations the main difference i have a problem with is injecting the meat with protein and water... other than that, i dont give a s**t where the food comes from..
How old are you? Have you ever had REAL farm raised poultry or beef?
there's no comparing the quality. Factory beef is fatty on the cellular level that is why no matter what cut you buy, it all tastes the same, but you pay more for prime cuts anyway. and Bacon is 90% fat. Only an idiot would eat that garbage.
I'd rather eat good a few days a week than eat complete garbage every day when the cost is nearly equal.
That 'your food' bit with the cows is from a farm, guys. That's how it's done. The cows are kept in when they're ill/pregnant. Doesn't mean they live like that their whole lives. And they're milked by pumps because that's the only reasonable way to do it.
They don't mind, honestly. They sit there and munch away on cud while they get milked. They like it :-). Sometimes they push each other out the way to get in faster o.0
Check out my friend's video of their song "Chicken Wants Her Beak Back", which, in addition to a literal anthem for factory farmed animals, is a larger metaphor for all the helpless masses that our culture exploits.
Search "chicken wants" here on YouTube to hear it. I think it does a good job of sneaking an important message in through catchy less aggressive-sounding music.
I like this. This isn't PETA bull. This actually is working to set a realistic goal. Of course not everyone is going to stop eating meat, but people can start buying from farms and not cruel animal factories.
I'm not sure how realistic it is. I'd like to believe that in a perfect world, as peta believes we should be in, we would all move to the countryside and grow our own food and if we were to buy animal products we'd buy from small local farms where animals are treated well. Tell me how that is possible in today's world? It isn't simply because humans live in huge cities and because animal products from small farms or non-factory farms are very expensive. Factory farms will never go away...
PETA's agenda is an extremist view that all human beings should be vegetarians, period. PETA believes that animals have equal rights to human beings. They don't and they never should. Furthermore, there are farms everywhere. The most expensive thing on everyone's plate these days is organic fruits and vegetables. If you have a serving of organic meat three to four times a week, instead of the average of 8-10 factory farmed, your cost is roughly the same.
@analiasahotmail You talk about equal rights and cost but that is not what this is about, it is about suffering, pain and stress on a grand scale....It is about the abuse these living creatures have to endure. It is about the apathy we as "superior "human beings have.
how is this advert NON-CRUELTY it clearly is, i am suprised the animal cruelty people haven't been down there and kicked there arses out of it

So glad to say that our farm is free range and that we love our animals. I hate factory farming >:(

One of the solutions is to buy from small family farms. Farms that respect, love and treat livestock with humane handling.
We grow free range, grass fed, heritage breed chickens, turkeys, cattle and pigs. Check us out on google Rainbow Ranch Farms.
We do not use any G.M.O's - Certified Organic Only! Humane handling and all heritage livestock breeds.
Know your food, know your farmer. Know how your food is grown, treated and harvested.

poo with animal flesh?
lol,
everything is wrong wit hthe food production industry.. worldwide..
the only way to fully eliminate all of the wrong-doings is to grow and raise everything you intend to eat..
all food types have their downfalls,
mass-demand = mass-production
we could have a mass-debate about it....
but the be-all and end-all is that with every food type, at some point during production, someone or something's life is abused.
