  • This is the truth! Whooooo lawd!!!!!

  • Who in the hell disliked this?

  • Praise the Lord!

  • Hallo Martin.Geiles Spiel, geiler Sound! Grüsse aus der Schweiz, Andy

  • Hi, great playing! I was just wondering if the ventilator's sim is better or on par with the Nord Sim's on their Organ sounds? I own both a Hammond XK1 and a Nord electro 2. I prefer the tone of the XK1 but the Leslie sim sucks, where as the tone of the Nord isnt amazing, but the Leslie sim is great. I'm Hoping to get a Ventilator soon to go with my Hammond, but I'm frightened it wont be as good as the Nords sim and be a waste of money. What do you think? I'd very much appreciate you're opinion.

  • @RobPope Hi there. I have a Nord Electro 3 and I ONLY use the orgen sim with the Neo Ventilator. It beats ALL Leslie sims on the market. I promise ! :-)

  • Sounds fantastic!!!! Great playing too.

  • great!! but wich kind of soundcard do you use with cubase ?

  • Insane!!! Love the sounds.

  • Nice!!!! great crunch / tone and playing. Have you tried the Boss Rotary ensemble? Just curious-i haven't tried it yet...I love VB3 , haven't gotten it live yet, but i might try my c-2 through vb3 insert /soundcard

  • I love how the organ has a sharp, yet... Kind of watery-slippery-sound. Did you leave soap on your hands after you washed them before you played??? :):):):):):):):):):):):) YOU SHOULD TOTALLY TEACH ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Beautiful Hammond, I must say!!! How much did you get it for? Considering the beautiful condition it is in, and how well it sounds! Someday, I'd like to have a B-3, an A-102, a BV, BVC, and a C-3. I have an M-143 spinet, sounds beautiful! With a Leslie 125. Not the best Leslie, I must admit, but it was $250 (a very good price for a Leslie) and nonetheless still has that very seductive Leslie sound. Takes a little while for the rotating speaker to warm up, but once it does, it sounds beautiful!!

  • @crazychiliquaker1959 Thank you for your comment. I have owned this B-3 for 22 years and I don't remember what it did cost back in 1988. But it wasen't very expensive because everyone wanted to play DX-7's, haha.

  • How do you turn the VB3 Leslie on with one hand? I find I have to fumble the mouse which is awkwardt. Any tricks?

  • @JamKar1 MIDI Solutions Footswitch Controller

  • @kaufmann6988 hi,great sound! I have a C3 and Cubase, may you help me to configure the footswitch controller midi solution to switch slow-fast of VB3 leslie? I try to do it but I can't!!

  • The new Hamichord clonewheel organ (made in italy) is based on special edition softwareVB3

  • Im not sure how you run a software synth in an audio track as an effect plug in...Tried it in Live and it doesnt work...

  • There's nothing like that hammond sound!

  • It sounds great!

Sorry but I don't understand. Are you using VB3 o Ventilator?

Can you record a video using B3+Ventilator?

    Thanks a lot

  • @Logosmusica This video was made with the VB3 Leslie sim. If I find the time, I'll make one with the Ventilator also. :-)

  • This is absolutely amazing!

  • fantastic! who has the best price on the Neo?

  • Hi all. I have acquired the new Neo Instruments "Ventilator" Leslie simulator. For all of you who have Hammond organs OR clones... THIS is the thing ! It sounds AT LEAST as good as the plugin I used in this video. It is literally a Leslie 122 in-a-box !

  • @kaufmann6988 I just ordered one. did you get it direct from the manufacturer? I did, and it'll be like 2 weeks for it to get here to Nebraska

  • @danitz56 I am sure you will be happy with it ! I ordered it from a Internet music store.

  • i used to play a B3. Now i have VB3, it sounds good, but it doesn't have the same leakage effect than the real thing. Nice leslie effect, nice VB3. SO cheap

  • John you are a sensational talent. Keep everyone happy and keep playing.

  • Modulate!

  • Was the Simulator the NI B4 II?

  • Absolutely sensational....great playing, great sound :) Awesome technique

  • Thank you ! The plugin is called VB3 and you can se the link in the scroll text at the end of the video.

  • You are indeed welcome...I have a Hammond B3 with two tall boy leslies... I just love the sound of a Vintage B3...VB3 really comes close :) again great work...

  • The playing is fine, the recording sounds good, but ten minutes is way too long a clip to expect most viewers to sit through. After a minute I clicked to the end for the "secret".

  • and i dig the lava lamp

  • The top manual definitely gives away the leslie sim, but i'm still very impressed!

  • Remember to listen to it in HQ mode. ;-)

  • nice sound..

  • Awesome - you really know how to play a B3 ;)

  • Awsome tone! Sounds like a 122/147 to me. I was wondering if the connection to the Hammond was as simple as 1/4" audio jack tapped into the speaker wires. I have a Hammond M3 (baby B3) along with cubase and a break out audio box that accepts the 1/4" or xlr input. It would seem the signal would be low enough to be harmless.

  • My B-3 has a line-out (low level) connection and I am using a normal 1/4" jack cable to connect it to my soundcard.

  • WOw. I never even thought of routing my organ through the VB3....Guess that's because I love the VB3 so much. I'll try this ASAP. THANKS!!! Sounds great.

  • Dude... bravo, I didn't think a "real" Leslie could be duplicated- I was wrong. Great sound, great vibe.

  • Thank you ! I was so surprised myself that I just had to post it. Great for homerecording and maybe even more...

  • cant stop listening to your sound

    great thanks for sharing

  • is it the original Preset on the upper F Key or did you change it?

  • That preset is set to 888888888

    Regards

    Martin

  • Oh when the saints at the end :P

  • loved 08:50 :)

  • woooow just great!!!!

  • I could listen to this for hours. Incredible playing.

  • what are your drawbar settings?

  • Great sound. I really enjoyed it. I have a Hammond CV (1948) in outstanding condition, and as soon as I change the tubes in the cabinet I will be giving this a try. Thanks for sharing!

  • Dude would you recommend any book for chords progression and riffs on a Hammond ? ('a la Jimmy Smith' or Grooving Holmes) I'd to have to import it so need some pro advice. Thanks in advance for tips about.

  • I'm sorry. Don't know any books. I just use my ears :-)

  • Have to ask.. What drawbar settings are you using on both registers at the beginning? It sounds great with that VB3 setting!! Particularly when it screams out at 0:20 and 1:03 - I love that dirty sound!!

Have a Nord Stage until I get me a B3 and would love to replicate that sound. Love the playing - certainly 5 stars - although I'd love to hear you resolve some of those chord progressions other than going back the root F chord. Look forward to some more posts!!

  • Thank you for your kind remarks. The Nord C1/C2 and Nord Electro 3 do a very much better job than the Nord Stage (in regards of Hammond sound).

What do you mean by "resolving" some of the chords ? Examples ?

  • Inspired by Chester Thompson I'm using all drawbars out on the upper maual (888888888) and on the lowe (808000000). But I'm using the bass pedals too... it gives the Hammond sound the perfect touch and foundation :-)

  • . . Oops !! Now I get it . . :-) There is no real Leslie, it's just the Hammond through the VB3 plugin . . on record it sounds very realistic to me, better than realistic maybe :) . . do you have a real Leslie in the room as well ?

  • Yes I have a Leslie 122, but it is on the road most of the time.

  • Very nice sound ! I checked the additional info, please let us know :

1- What about miking ? What microphones did you use and how did you position them ?

2- I still don't understand what you mean by controlling the speed switch on a real Leslie through a midi solutions interface. Will you elaborate on that please ?

    Thanks

  • Now this was super good:

    Rev. Michael Capps, Ph.D

    Bishop:

  • Hope you don't mind me repeating this question: how are you doing the slow/fast switching?

  • Midisolutions in Canada have special pedal to midi devices... :-)

  • excellent man. 5*****stars.

  • Great Playing. Nothing can quite get to the sound of a real leslie, but this is on it's way.

  • How did you took a line-out from the B3?

  • One more question - what Leslie setting did you use? Sounds better than the one on Guido's demo.

  • 147 Rock :-)

  • Thank you!

  • Very cool. The leslie sounds suprisingly good. Question: how are you doing the slow/fast switching? I just bought an A102 and will be settting it up the same way - through my Cubase (first through my Mackie, actually)

  • Excellent -

and no less amazing than the wonderful sound which I have enjoyed listening to in my stereo headset is your outstanding virtuoso musicianship! The immaculate riffs, chords, runs, inversions, etc. are seemingly endless - hat's off to you brother!

  • nice playing m8 also nice sounds !!!!

You can also use a tube preamp before you loop back the signal as an insert to the vb3 that would add a bit of a kick to it !

Thats a nice classic technic for recording organs such as the b3 if you have one : )

    Nice sound !!!!

  • Do you have to have a New B3 or Xk to do this? or how did you run the B3 into VB3

  • Please check the aditional info that I have added to the video description.

  • Perhaps the lava lamp is having some effect on the sound!! Seriously thoug, sounds very good

  • you wanz to know what we think about your sound?

    just great ... breathless

  • grande!

  • über cool!!!
