Hi, in that case create a line,,,, Go to the modifier panel,,,, Look below into the rendering tab of the line and click Enable in renderer then change the thickness of the line. It becomes 3dimensional. If you struggle please send me your email So I can forward an image.

thanks alot for this tutorial there are so helpful!do you mind if i ask you a question, i va 3dstudio max 7 and when i created the the tap with the spline line and went to the modifier list i could not find sweep!which other modifier can i use to create the tap?thanks
